In September 2022, I tried the whole menu, but this time I went back to the special soy sauce ramen for 1,100 yen and a side of white rice for 150 yen. Somehow, this combination is the most delicious. Pepper goes well with the soy sauce soup. The pepper they use here is black pepper, but white pepper would also be good. Bringing your own Sichuan pepper to sprinkle on top is also an option. It's better to have rice on the side rather than getting extra noodles. Rice goes surprisingly well with the soup here. It's not ideal for dieting due to the carb overload, but sometimes you just crave some carbs. This is perfect for those moments. Thanks for the meal once again.

Ordered special yuzu salt, bonito flakes rice bowl, and draft beer. My companion ordered the most popular soy sauce ramen. Everything was delicious. I thought the soy sauce ramen came with a half-boiled egg according to the menu on Tabelog, but unfortunately it didn't come with one. The draft beer was a Premium Malt and it was delicious. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere.

I sat down casually while getting a haircut. I ordered the special soy sauce ramen with 3 wontons, a boiled egg, 2 slices of pork chashu, and 1 slice of chicken chashu for 1300 yen. I wanted to get a large serving but they refused, how annoying. The taste was elegant with a clear soup, and there were many female customers. It was undeniably delicious, but for 1300 yen, I expected more. Well, I finished all the soup though.

I was disappointed as I had high expectations, but the ramen was just average. I won't be going back. The entrance door was oddly heavy and hard to open and close. The fact that they offer water from a water server instead of tap water is a plus, but that's about it. Self-service water is a minus. There are only one or two places in the restaurant where you can find tissues, which is also a minus. You have to get up from your seat to get tissues or refill your water. The soy sauce flavor of the soup was lackluster. If I had to choose, I prefer the Chinese soba at Hidakaya because you can add garlic and vinegar, which I like. At Hidakaya, you can also order thinly sliced green onions, which I enjoy. The only seasoning available on the table is pepper. You can't order extras like extra green onions, spinach, or extra noodles. It's hard to come across truly outstanding ramen. Game over.

I had some business in Meguro, so I visited a restaurant that was highly rated on Tabelog. The appearance of the soy sauce ramen looked ordinary, but the online reviews were great. I wondered if it was really that delicious. In the scorching heat, I lined up with 4 other people. After about a 10-minute wait, we were seated. The staff's service was polite and left a good impression. Now, onto the soy sauce ramen itself. I took a sip of the soup. Hmm... unfortunately, it was just okay. I continued eating the noodles, but I couldn't help but wonder if this was really delicious. The ramen was carefully prepared, and the ingredients were good, but I didn't feel that satisfaction of eating a delicious bowl of ramen. Thank you for the meal.

Tsukemen 1000 yen, wonton 300 yen, total 1300 yen. There were various menu options, but I chose the tsukemen. The soy sauce soup had a strong punch, which I really liked. The noodles were thick and flat. Getting 5 wontons for 300 yen was a nice bonus. It felt more like ramen than tsukemen. I will revisit to try their dried fish ramen.

At Meguro during lunchtime, there are many shops with long lines, and this shop was no exception. On a weekday at lunchtime, there was a line of four people. It was hot, so I wanted to avoid the line, but since it was only four people, I decided to wait. Upon closer inspection, there were 3 people waiting inside, making a total of 7 people in line. It took less than 10 minutes to get inside, and once inside, it took about 5 minutes to be seated. I bought a soy sauce ramen for 950 yen and added a lunch special pork rice for 150 yen. The pork rice, limited to lunchtime, was surprisingly cheap. The soy sauce ramen had medium straight noodles with two thick slices of pork belly, two pieces of chashu, and chopped green onions. The soup had a good balance of oiliness, sweetness, and soy sauce flavor, making it very tasty. The noodles were well coated with the soup. The chashu, although not thick, released a juicy and flavorful taste with each bite. It was delicious. I also tried the pork rice, and it was also juicy and tasty. At only 150 yen, it was a steal. I highly recommend trying it. It had been a while since I had such high-quality soy sauce ramen. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It was a very delicate and light soy sauce ramen with a good firmness to the noodles, making it simple and easy to eat. The wonton was also in the soup, giving a light yet satisfying flavor that spreads in your mouth. I also ordered the chicken rice with lacha, but I would recommend skipping this dish.

Menya Ishin Taberogu 3.75 is a well-known soy sauce ramen shop in the city center with over 1100 reviews. It is located on the right side of the road on the way from Meguro Station East Exit to Shirokane-dai Station, just before the Shirokane intersection. There are various types of soy sauce ramen, and as a fan of ramen, I prefer the rich soup of Kyushu origin. Menya Ishin is known among ramen enthusiasts, so I decided to visit for the first time. It's a popular spot with a clean interior, but the kitchen is cramped and you have to eat while standing in line. The staff is energetic, and there is a heartwarming sign in the back with the message "Don't give up." The soy sauce ramen at Menya Ishin is full of luxury, with a rich flavor that shows the owner's dedication and research. I ordered the soy sauce flavored egg ramen (¥1,100), and the noodles were incredibly delicious. The chashu was elegant, and the seasoned egg had a slightly runny yolk, making the overall dish complete and satisfying for soy sauce ramen lovers. I look forward to trying the yuzu salt ramen next time. It was a unique Tokyo-style ramen experience, different from the tonkotsu ramen at Daruma or Kurotei. Thank you for the meal. Thank you very much.

I started exploring new lunch spots in Meguro and decided to start with the top-ranked restaurant on Tabelog. I ordered the yuzu salt ramen, which had thin noodles and a clear, refreshing soup. The yuzu flavor was really good, and I couldn't help but finish every last drop of the soup. #MenyaIsshin #Meguro #MeguroLunch #MeguroGourmet #MeguroRamen #RamenLovers #Foodies ===========

When I commute to the Tokyo office in the afternoon and transfer at Meguro station, it's a regular lunch routine to get off halfway and have wonton noodles here. When it comes to wonton noodles in Meguro, "Kazuya" is delicious, but it's a bit far from the station, so for lunch on the way to work, I always go to "Isshin" in Meguro. Up until now, I've always had the soy sauce ramen as my go-to order. This time, I tried the "Yuzu salt ramen" with special toppings for the first time, and it was so delicious that I regret not trying it sooner. Maybe I should just enjoy it next time instead of regretting. The second branch in Yokohama, "Isshin Shouten," always has a long line during lunchtime, but for some reason, I can easily get in at "Isshin" most of the time. Looking forward to my next visit when commuting to Tokyo.

I went there for the first time. I accidentally went to a famous shop called Kanpira Chaya for Sanuki Udon nearby. I ordered the Niboshi Chashu Noodles and Nikumeshi. The noodles were delicious! The soup was also delicious! The fact that the seasoning for the Nikumeshi was salt made it great to eat together with the ramen. I haven't tried soy sauce, salt, or tsukemen yet, so I'm looking forward to trying them in the future!

Visited around 20:00 on Saturday. A top 5000 selected famous restaurant. Fortunately, it was not crowded so I could enter. Purchased a meal ticket from the ticket machine and then took a seat. Soy sauce ramen for 950 yen. The restaurant had many solo customers, and there were also foreign group tourists. The interior was clean and the kitchen was also tidy. It arrived in about 7 minutes. The soup seemed to be chicken-based, with a rich soy sauce flavor yet light. I couldn't help but keep drinking it. There were two slices of chashu, one with lean meat and one with more fat. Personally, I preferred the one with more fat as the fat was sweet and delicious. The noodles were thin and straight, with a good texture and a taste of wheat. I finished it in no time. As someone who likes rich flavors, I felt a little unsatisfied, but the soup was deep and definitely worth trying. Thank you for the meal.

Meguro station is just a few minutes walk away, so it's not extremely close to the station, but it's a good distance. The location is on Meguro Street towards Shirokanedai from Meguro Station, just before the Metropolitan Expressway. The seating in the restaurant is all counter seats, but it doesn't feel cramped, and the aisles are quite spacious. The kitchen also has plenty of space, giving a sense of openness. It's also very clean, which is a plus. Now, they use a ticket system for ordering. The ticket machine is right on the left as you enter the door (which is a bit heavy). If you sit at the counter near the entrance, you can get water from the water server on the opposite side of the ticket machine. If you sit at the counter further back, it's better to bring water from the back hallway to your seat. The ramen options are usually the following: soy sauce, yuzu salt, niboshi (dried sardine), and tsukemen (dipping noodles). I've tried them all, and they are all delicious. The presentation is beautiful, the taste is great, and you can't go wrong with any choice. Personally, I tend to have about 60% tsukemen, 20% niboshi, 15% soy sauce, and 5% yuzu salt. I think I prefer a rich soy sauce flavor. But the niboshi is also really tasty. Writing this makes me crave it again. This place is delicious and quiet at night, so I highly recommend it.

Flavorful soy sauce ramen with seasoned egg: 1,100 yen. Arrived on a weekday at 13:43, with 2 empty seats and was seated immediately. The bowl arrived at 13:52. It took about 9 minutes from arrival to serving. I had imagined it would be similar to the ramen at I-Shin Shouten in Yokohama, but it was quite different - a refined bowl. At first bite, I thought, "Is this just another light and clear broth?" which left me slightly disappointed. However, as I continued eating, I found the taste to be gentle and everything was well-balanced, gradually impressing me more. This bowl stands out from the trendy light and clear broth ramen, showing a high level of completion. Personally, I prefer the slightly more bold flavor of I-Shin Shouten, but this bowl was still impressive.

Meguro "Menya Ishin" is a branch of Yokohama Chinese Soba Ishin Shoten. It is located on Meguro Street, on the right side as you head towards Shirokane-dai from Meguro Station. The interior of the restaurant has a modern and stylish atmosphere. They operate on a food ticket system. The main options include soy sauce, dried sardines, yuzu salt, and even cold noodles. Since it was my first time, I went with the basic soy sauce flavor. I was intrigued by the wonton, so I ordered the "Special Soy Sauce Ramen" for ¥1,300, which comes with seasoned egg, three types of chashu, wonton, and menma. The ramen was served in a deep bowl with plenty of noodles. The soup, made from chicken broth and kombu base, had a classic taste with a hint of chicken flavor and was not overly sweet. The noodles were medium-thin and straight. The chashu, made from two types of pork and chicken, was tender and delicious. The wonton was soft and tasty. The seasoned egg and menma had a rich and flavorful taste. It was my first time having traditional soy sauce ramen in a while, and it was delicious. It's great to be able to enjoy this level of ramen without having to wait in line during lunchtime because of the location. I would like to try the yuzu salt and cold noodles next time. For lunch, you can add pork rice or chicken rice for an additional ¥150. Opening hours are from 11:00 to 15:00 and 18:00 to 21:30, closed on Sundays. #Ramen #Meguro #MeguroStreet #Shirokane-dai #Menya Ishin #Soy Sauce Ramen #Yokohama Chinese Soba Ishin Shoten #ramen #meguro #MeguroGourmet #MeguroLunch

Taste 3, Atmosphere 3.5, Affordable 3, Service 3, AVG 3.2 It seems like this restaurant has been awarded the Bib Gourmand continuously from 2015 to 2019. I tried the special dried fish soy sauce ramen. It didn't have a strong dried fish flavor, but the soy sauce was more prominent. The chashu pork topping was delicious. The wontons were also very tasty. The noodles were slightly overcooked, giving it a texture similar to soy sauce-flavored udon. Overall, the quality of the noodles and toppings was excellent. However, the firmness of the noodles did not quite match my preference, which was disappointing. The pork in the pork rice bowl was delicious, with a nice kick from the shichimi spice blend. #Michelin #BibGourmand #TabelogTop5000

I had the Ajitama Shoyu Ramen for 1100 yen and the Buta Meshi for 350 yen. I went around 1:30 pm on a weekday and was able to get in smoothly, with many female customers present. The lunchtime limited Buta Meshi set for an additional 150 yen was sold out, so I ordered it separately. The ramen had thin noodles, which I liked, but they were cooked a bit too soft for my preference. The flavor was a classic soy sauce ramen, but it started to feel a bit boring as I continued eating. I felt like it needed a little something extra. The Buta Meshi, with torched pork belly and a slightly lemon-flavored sauce on rice, was delicious! I heard they also have a cold soy sauce ramen for summer, which I'm curious to try.

I went a little late on a weekday and there was no waiting time. The prices were a bit higher than what I saw on Tabelog, so I ordered the Ajitama Shoyu ramen. The soy sauce broth had a strong flavor of chicken and kelp, making it very delicious and easy to drink. The noodles were a bit soft, but maybe they could be a bit firmer with this soup? Nevertheless, this dish is a delicious masterpiece where the soup surpasses everything. Thank you for the meal!

The wontons at this specialty shop are more delicious than at other places. The wontons in the wonton noodles here are rich in meat juice and don't become thin from absorbing water. The pork chashu has a salty taste like prosciutto and a perfect texture. The ingredients have a rich flavor overall, making the dish delicious. Personally, I recommend ordering the special wonton or wonton noodles. The soup is light in flavor, but when eaten with rice, the deliciousness stands out, so I recommend getting an extra serving. The service is clean and refreshing, giving off a modern vibe. This place is already popular, but I feel like it could handle even longer lines. It's elegant and not too addictive, maybe that's why.

The soup was delicious enough to almost drink it all. The noodles were soft and had a common taste without anything special. The portion was generous, so even without extra toppings or refills, there was a sense of satisfaction. Personally, I could do without the wontons, so I think next time I will order without them.
