Imadoki @ Nishi-Azabu - Motsunabe, three times in a row. It seems like people might ask, how much do you love it? Well, I love it. I love it so much that I celebrated my friend's birthday party with motsunabe. Of course, it was a surprise in a private room. Nishi-Azabu is trendy. Honestly, it is like a remote island to walk to. This time we arrived by taxi with our luggage, so it didn't matter. This turned out to be the biggest and only weakness of this restaurant, as we would later find out. We arrived 30 minutes earlier than our acquaintances to start the preparations. The staff's response at that time was amazing. In fact, the staff's service throughout the day was exceptional. I encountered pleasant customer service after a long time. Polite, quick, and pleasant. There are several private rooms available, but we used the one on the third floor that day. Be careful on the narrow and steep stairs. The ceiling is also less than 2m, so be cautious. The room exudes a sophisticated atmosphere with indirect lighting, black sofas, and a Bang & Olufsen CD player. (But there is no door, so noise may leak downstairs!?) Now, onto the food. We only managed to take a photo of the main dish, the motsunabe. We chose the refreshing version as per the guest of honor's request, the Kin no Motsunabe. It had a hint of yuzu fragrance, enhanced by yuzu pepper. The slight spiciness added a nice touch, satisfying a yuzu pepper fan like me. The last thin udon noodles slipped in smoothly, providing more satisfaction than expected. The other two dishes we managed to photograph are Ten-iro Natto on the left and Burdock Chips on the right. The burdock chips were tasty, but I know even tastier ones, so they were just average. Overall, the food was average plus, but the atmosphere and the staff were excellent, and the prices were reasonable, so I would definitely like to visit again.

This is my second time visiting this restaurant. The atmosphere here is amazing. The semi-private rooms strike a good balance between creating a formal atmosphere and maintaining privacy. It's a great place for a date. I recommend the motsunabe (offal hot pot), especially the spicy version. If you're worried about garlic, go for the non-spicy option. The flavors are clean and very delicious. Be sure to order the shirako (milt) with ponzu sauce, it's particularly tasty here. The onigiri (rice balls) are a great way to finish the meal. They are a bit pricey at around 400 yen each, but considering the atmosphere and presentation, it's reasonable. The mentaiko (spicy cod roe) is exceptionally delicious. It rivals the onigiri shop in Asakusa recommended by the Michelin Guide. We had about 6 drinks each for a total of around 14,000 yen. Thank you for the meal.

I used this restaurant located near Nogizaka Station. We had a party around 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The restaurant faces a main street and is easy to find with its bright lighting. They have a wide range of private and semi-private rooms, making it suitable for various occasions. We had the all-you-can-drink course with motsunabe (offal hot pot) this time. The meal started with appetizers, followed by salad, sashimi, tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette), fried shrimp, motsunabe, and finally noodles in the hot pot. The portions were relatively generous. However, the overall taste was on the salty side rather than relying on broth. The motsunabe itself was very fatty and heavy, causing some heartburn. It's a good place to enjoy drinks and have a lively time, but if you want to truly savor Kyushu cuisine, it may not be the best choice.

Located a little further towards Shibuya from Nishi-Azabu intersection, this restaurant offers a variety of dishes and motsunabe hot pot. The second-floor seating is like a semi-private room. I was intrigued by the Yuzu-scented Kyoto dashi gold motsunabe, but ended up trying the miso-flavored white motsunabe and finishing with Champon noodles. The Inaniwa udon recommended as a finish for the gold motsunabe caught my attention. The dishes and motsunabe are not outstanding, but they are delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the semi-private seating make it convenient and enjoyable.

Last night, I visited Imadoki for the first time in a while. I've been coming here for about 10 years now. The private rooms are convenient, especially for larger groups. I used to come here with my colleagues for year-end parties, but due to the impact of the coronavirus, it ended up just being the two of us this time. Located on the right side when heading towards Shibuya from Nishi-Azabu intersection! The atmosphere is quiet and you can relax in private rooms. The staff's service was also good. Everything on the menu was delicious, but personally I really liked the avocado octopus dish haha. The recommended motsunabe was delicious! I chose the trendy original red. It had a nice level of spiciness. I want to try the white one next time! The balance is excellent, so I will definitely go again. The prices are also on the cheaper side for Nishi-Azabu! ✨

It's probably been about 10 years since I started going to this favorite restaurant. It's the best motsunabe I've had in Tokyo, with a modern touch. The name of the restaurant is stylish, and the atmosphere is wonderful. They also have private rooms in a separate building, which is highly recommended. We visited the restaurant late at night with three people. Since it was on the second floor, no one came even after pressing the doorbell multiple times. When the staff finally arrived, they were very rude and had a condescending attitude. I was really annoyed and felt like leaving the restaurant at that point. However, we decided to order some food and drinks. The food was actually very delicious! It was a shame. I think if they change the staff, this place could be really good. The motsunabe (offal hot pot) was especially tasty. The broth of the motsunabe soaked into our drunk bodies. I would like to go back if they change the staff.

This was for a dining event. The menu included simmered eggplant, raw mackerel, assorted sashimi, and motsunabe (offal hot pot). I also had other dishes but I can't remember due to drinking. The sashimi assortment came with shiso leaves, which was a nice touch. The autumn pike mackerel sashimi was delicious and fresh, with no fishy taste. The motsunabe had fresh and chewy offal, similar to what you would find in Fukuoka. I indulged in plenty of collagen. There were some delays in getting the food after ordering, but it was worth the wait. The restaurant has a classy atmosphere and even a beautiful actress was in the semi-private room. It's a popular spot for celebrities. Overall, the food was delicious, the ambiance was calming, and the location in Nishi-Azabu is great. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Shabu-shabu course in Nishi-Azabu. It started with sashimi and had amazing content. Lots of vegetables and a huge amount of meat! I was so full! Shabu-shabu with lots of vegetables was the best.
