Visited on a Sunday afternoon. This restaurant is open only in the evenings on weekdays, but on weekends it is open from 1:00 pm. The first time I tried Little Spice curry was when I was in junior high school... Climbing the narrow and steep stairs leading to the entrance of this shop always brings back nostalgic memories of those days. Probably the first curry shop I ever visited other than CoCo Ichibanya. When I arrived after 1:00 pm, the restaurant was already full, so I waited outside for about 20 minutes. It's so hot at this time of year... This time, I ordered the Bhuna (1,080 yen) with extra sauce and extra rice (+310 yen). Bhuna curry is a curry that is like stir-fried liver and gizzards that you would find at an Indian street stall. It's not something you see often. I also ordered the Ice Spice Milk Tea (320 yen) that I always get. My mother, who was with me, ordered the Western-style pork curry (1,100 yen). This time, both the curry and rice were extra large, so the curry and rice were served on separate plates haha. As a fan of offal and curry, is there any curry as great as Bhuna...? It's really delicious!! It's a fairly spicy curry, but not from chili peppers, it has a refreshing spiciness from other spices, so you won't sweat too much in the summer heat. It's not very watery, so it's satisfying to eat. The lettuce and boiled egg served with it also go well with this curry. The Western-style pork curry my mother ordered is something I have also ordered many times. The pork is tender with a gentle sweetness, giving it a nostalgic and well-crafted curry. Also, the Ice Spice Milk Tea is made with authentic spices from the curry shop and is incredibly delicious, and you get a lot for only 320 yen, which is really appreciated ✨ They seem to create their own original curry at Little Spice, taking inspiration from various countries' spiced curries, all of which are made to go perfectly with rice, making them easy for Japanese people who love rice to enjoy. In addition to the menu, there are limited edition curries available every time, which is also fun. You can enjoy cheap and delicious curry quickly, so if you're in Kichijoji, be sure to try it (*´ω`*)
