A new hotel has opened in Shinjuku. I immediately felt like going to check it out. This spring, my youngest daughter started living on her own here after entering college. As a father, she is my precious little daughter. Even if others say "you don't need to worry so much," I can't help but worry. I wonder what kind of life she is living... I should go check it out! But first, let's have a meal here. I initially wanted to dine at the main dining on a higher floor of another hotel, but couldn't make a reservation due to it being a Saturday afternoon. So, I decided to visit the all-day dining in this hotel. Upon arriving at Shinjuku Station, I noticed a grand building that stood out from the East Exit. It's the birth of a new landmark tower in Shinjuku East Exit. The hustle and bustle of people was overwhelming. I took an elevator to the 17th floor, where the restaurant was located. I informed the reception of my reservation and was guided to my table. The spacious restaurant had a high ceiling and an open kitchen, with a terrace outside, creating a casual atmosphere. I chose a short course menu and upgraded to the red meat roast in a stone oven for an extra charge. I ordered a glass of wine, and decided to start with the recommended white wine from the restaurant's list. The first dish served was a new onion soup with an olive oil "Nico-chan mark" on the surface. It was followed by a salad with a playful twist from the chef. The salad was quite voluminous, and hidden underneath were grilled zucchini and cauliflower, along with a ratatouille surprise at the bottom of the bowl. The playful presentation made the dining experience enjoyable. The second course was a daily pasta special, which was Amatriciana that day. The al dente pasta had a perfect balance of pancetta's saltiness and tomato's acidity. The main course, a Japanese beef red meat (rump that day), was cooked to perfection. The meat had a juicy tenderness with each bite, and was a delight to eat. The dish was accompanied by a red wine-based sauce with added Pommery mustard, as well as a small pot of rock salt on the side. The chef's recommendation to use the rock salt enhanced the flavor of the dish. I enjoyed using the rock salt, as it reminded me of how I eat beef at home.

• JAM'S Lunch Course 4900 yen • Slow-roasted sweet carrot potage with cardamom oil • Farm salad bowl with 17 types of vegetables • Carbonara with white eggplant and guanciale (linguine) • Stone oven-grilled domestic beef thigh meat sealed with umami at 400°C <100g thigh> +1200 yen • Tiramisu ~Inspired by the patissier~ +500 yen • Anniversary tree, bread, coffee Located on the 17th floor of the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, this restaurant is absolutely lovely. Enjoy Italian course cuisine with a glass of wine in the afternoon at JAM17 DINING. This dining establishment is directly managed by HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, A PARKROYAL Hotel. It is a stylish and open space with a fantastic view connecting the entertainment floor to the hotel. From the moment you enter the restaurant, you will be charmed by the hospitality of the staff. They are very accommodating, even to solo diners, which is delightful. The highlight of the day was the delicious JAM'S Lunch Course at this restaurant, where you can truly experience the taste of goodness. We started with a toast with white wine. First, the potage soup was served. It was made with slowly roasted sweet carrots, offering a slightly warm temperature and smooth texture. The subtle aroma of cardamom oil was also delightful. It was a perfect start to the meal. The fluffy bread complemented it perfectly. And you can even have seconds of the bread, which is pure happiness. Next, we had a salad bowl made with 17 types of vegetables. The fresh vegetables were harvested near Tokyo. Each vegetable was incredibly fresh and crunchy! The lettuce was surprisingly crunchy! The roasted zucchini, bell peppers, green beans, and other assorted vegetables were vibrant and flavorful. The seasoning was exquisite, not overpowering the natural taste of the vegetables. As we continued to eat, a ratatouille was served, offering a change in flavor. There was even a playful touch with hidden carrot slices. Then came the pasta! Carbonara made with salted bacon. The perfect balance of saltiness and creamy, rich sauce coated the slightly thicker linguine, creating an incredibly delicious dish! The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the generous portion made us want more of its deliciousness. The hint of black pepper added a nice touch. And finally, the main dish, the meat! You can choose from 4 options, but we decided to add +1200 yen for the domestic beef thigh meat stone oven-grilled. The visual presentation was already amazing. The beautifully marbled lean meat was a delight to the eyes. It was clear even before tasting it that it would be incredibly delicious. And it was indeed, impressively delicious! The stress-free tenderness of the meat was sweet and flavorful with every bite, oozing with juiciness. Despite the rich fat content, the thigh meat was not overwhelming at all. I particularly enjoyed eating it simply with salt. It paired perfectly with red wine. The contrast with the crispy surface was also delightful. It was so good that it was hard to finish, so we savored it slowly. The side of white eggplant with sweet chili pepper and 5-year-aged potato was also fantastic. Finally, dessert time! The dessert was also a choice. I opted for the tiramisu! The smooth mascarpone cheese tiramisu cream, the crunchy thin chocolate sheet, and the sponge soaked in espresso at the bottom were all delightful. It was a tiramisu that tasted like nothing I had ever encountered before, incredibly delicious. As a surprise anniversary treat, the Anniversary Tree was brought out for an additional 2000 yen per person, adorned with cookies, macarons, and chocolates. Even the cookies on the Anniversary Tree were incredibly delicious. From start to finish, it was a truly happy time. I would love to visit this restaurant for dinner as well, not just for lunch. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I got the impression that this restaurant is easy for anyone to visit because of its casual atmosphere and friendly staff. When I hear about hotel restaurants, I often think of formal settings that can make people nervous, but here, I felt at ease and could enjoy my meal without any stress. In particular, the salad course with 17 types of vegetables was delicious, and I believe that the quality of the ingredients really shone through.

The store is spacious and located in a high-rise building, so the night view is beautiful. The tables are well-spaced, allowing us to chat with friends without feeling crowded. We ordered a course meal this time, and the staff explained it to us in detail. The food was delicious. I plan to visit again.

A cafe with a great view on the 17th floor of the Tokyu Kabuki Tower. A cup of coffee costs 1,100 yen. The interior is spacious, not crowded even on Sundays at 3 pm, and has a calm atmosphere, so I recommend it. The staff's service and the quality of the coffee were consistently good.

Tokyu Kabuki Tower was my first time, so I was a little nervous. There were a lot of young people outside the building, and Kabuki Yokocho on the 2nd floor of Kabukicho Tower was lively from noon. JAM17 DINING&BAR on the 17th floor had a great view and a super stylish atmosphere. Everything I ate was delicious, and the staff were all wonderful. The vegetables for the appetizers were freshly picked on the day! The pasta, meat, everything was perfect. They also accommodated special requests, making the whole experience perfect. I am very satisfied and would love to go again.

・Anniversary Tree with JAM'S Lunch Course 5,900 yen (tax included) ・Slow-roasted Vegetable Potage⏩It's a potage with zucchini as the main ingredient, similar to bisque but with a mix of various vegetables creating a unique taste that you can't replicate at home. It had a cute drawing of Nico-chan's face ❤️ ・17 types of Vegetable Farm Salad Bowl⏩A salad bowl filled with plenty of vegetables ❤️ You can enjoy it with oil dressing. The staff mentioned, "Nico-chan is hiding, try to find her ❤️," which was another cute touch ❤️ I tried my best to find her, haha. I love salads eaten outside because they have so many different types of vegetables. ・Bread⏩The juicy and fluffy bread, eaten with olive oil, exudes a simple and elegant charm. If you want more, you can ask for a refill ❤️ ・Today's Pasta Dish⏩Genovese Pasta ❤️ Topped with a large sweet pepper, not spicy, the pasta is of the flat type. I get excited when I find pine nuts because I love them. The basil sauce is rich and blends well with the pasta. At home, we often substitute large basil leaves for Genovese, but the real deal made with basil has a luxurious touch ❤️ ・Main Dish Grilled Domestic Beef in a Stone Oven at 400°C The meat is thick but incredibly tender ❤️ The juicy meat is so tender because the umami is sealed in at a high temperature. The side dishes of eggplant, beets, potatoes, and shimeji mushrooms, especially the potatoes, were incredibly sweet, almost making me think it was sweet potatoes! ❤️ ・Dessert Tiramisu ~Inspired by the Pastry Chef~ ・Anniversary Tree (with small sweets)⏩The tiramisu has a rich and sweet sponge soaked in coffee at the bottom, with a thin layer of crispy chocolate sandwiched with mascarpone. The mascarpone is fluffy, topped with cookies shaped like shovels and sweets shaped like vegetables for presentation ❤️ The Anniversary Tree is a silver branch with a message plate and small sweets placed on it, like a dessert tree. I wanted to take this chic tree home with me, haha. The dessert was also luxurious, enjoyed with coffee after the meal ☕️

I enjoyed a delicious wine and hamburger with a great view during the daytime. It was my first time entering Kabukicho Tower, and dining at a beautiful restaurant really lifted my spirits. I thought that if there were more Japanese flavors incorporated, it would make it more appealing to older customers.

The atmosphere is stylish with a slightly Blade Runner-esque vibe, so it's a thumbs up. The taste is beautiful and delicious as you can see from the photos, so it's also a thumbs up. We had tuna carpaccio, caprese with shrimp, grilled vegetables, chicken thighs, and gelato with yuzu and salted vanilla. The cost was around 17,000 yen including tax for two people, which is not cheap, so it's a neutral rating. It's a good place to end your sightseeing trip.

I was concerned about the negative reviews on Google, but since it was a restaurant in a Tokyu hotel, I had some expectations. However, when I ordered pork for around 3500 yen and beef for over 5000 yen, I was surprised to see them brought to the table still in two pieces, without being cut. Also, as you can see in the photos, they were not even half. When I asked them to divide the pasta that I ordered for service, it came out as if it had been divided into small plates like at an izakaya, which was surprising. There are places like that, but I don't think it's appropriate for a pasta that costs nearly 3000 yen per plate. The kale and romaine lettuce salad for 2500 yen was really just kale and romaine lettuce. A draft beer (Super Dry) was 1300 yen. Is this an inbound price? I had expected the prices when I looked at the menu and made a reservation, but the content did not match up. I was surprised for the first time in a while, so I am giving a critical review.

The day after using the lunch course, I went for the dinner course around 6 pm on a weekday. The eggplant dish was especially delicious and looked cute in photos. The meat dishes were also tasty. I think it would be even more delicious if they were a bit rarer. The pasta had a good texture, which was nice! The final dessert was tiramisu, but personally, I found it a bit too sweet.

I visited around 12 noon on a regular weekday. I had made a reservation, so I was able to enter without waiting. The inside of the restaurant was quite clean and had a perfect atmosphere for a date. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, which made me happy. For the lunch course, you can choose between fish dishes and hamburgers. The fish dish I had was delicious, but the hamburger my companion ordered was too salty and a bit disappointing. The freshly baked bread is all-you-can-eat.

I ordered the lunch course and was served a mountain of salad with grilled vegetables and ratatouille inside. The flavors of the ingredients were maximized and very delicious, making me quite satisfied. The hamburger that came afterwards was even more impressive. The accompanying bread was pleasantly sweet with the taste of wheat. (The staff informed me that refills are free of charge.) The meal also included soup, dessert, and coffee or tea for 3700 yen per person. Some may find it a bit pricey, but the portion size is generous and the tea comes in a pot with enough for three cups, so the satisfaction level is high. If not crowded, you can stay and relax for quite some time. The staff's service is impeccable and the location is excellent! I think it's perfect for lunch dates or business meals!

I visited this restaurant to try the meat lump pasta that was used in a photoshoot for Tokyo Calendar. It's definitely not a hamburger, as you can hardly taste any spices. The large lump of minced meat placed on top of the meat sauce is fluffy. Since it's hardly seasoned, I was advised by the staff to break it up before eating. It's like a trendy meat sauce spaghetti with lots of meat. But the sauce has an elegant taste with a strong tomato flavor. The noodles are about 1.6mm thick, I think. To avoid getting tired of the taste, I also ordered a salad. It had a variety of vegetables, including cooked okra and asparagus, with a good texture. Even the carrots had a little twist to them. The dressing seemed homemade and refreshing, but I hardly used it as I wanted to enjoy the taste of the vegetables. The prices are on the higher side considering the location. It was quite crowded, so reservations are essential. The window seats offer a nice view, and the interior layout is spacious, making it suitable for families with strollers.

I watched a movie at 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku and got a little hungry, so I decided to eat there. The view from the 17th floor was amazing. The atmosphere on the floor was nice and spacious. I ordered Aqua Pazza, pasta, and beef steak. The food was delicious, but not outstanding. It was a nice place to eat after the movie. I wanted to have coffee after the meal, but it was surprisingly expensive, around 1,000 yen. I decided not to order it.

The newly built building lacked a relaxing space, so I took a short break. Compared to the members-only lounge in the building below, it seemed a bit inferior, and the seating was close to the next person, making it hard to relax. It felt more like a food court. The terrace seats or the bar area might offer a more comfortable experience. The high ceiling and spaciousness were nice, but the service varied greatly depending on the staff, giving a sense of understaffing. The prices were not high, but the balance between taste and quality was lacking.

Shinjuku Kabukicho, a city that I used to find intimidating when I was younger. The Kabukicho Tower, which opened in spring 2023 next to Toyoko Plaza, has a slightly chaotic look when viewed from below, combined with the hustle and bustle of the street. On the 17th floor, where the entrance to the hotel is located, the dining area exudes a luxurious atmosphere with a hint of Asian taste, unlike the street below. The ambiance is cozy. I went in with no expectations (sorry) for the 7800 yen course. Surprisingly, the course consisted of 2 appetizers, pasta, main dish, and dessert, with the main dish having a generous portion of red meat. Each dish had a consistent quality, making it a good value for a hotel dinner. The members who joined me this time also commented that this place could be used for business purposes as well, as a unique option. [Today's Menu] Appetizer: Tuna Carpaccio with a touch of cob mandarin leaf Appetizer 2: Seasonal vegetable stone oven grill, featuring Chiba asparagus with egg and cheese Pasta: Spaghetti aglio e olio with scallops and truffle Main: Grilled Japanese beef thigh meat Dessert: Tiramisu and coffee

Jam17 is located on the 17th floor of the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, just a 2-3 minute walk from Seibu Shinjuku Station. The entrance area is not crowded and has a luxurious Asian-inspired interior. I tried their Special Lunch Set which included a slow-roasted vegetable potage, a colorful farm salad bowl, a crab and shrimp capellini pasta with grapefruit, a Japanese beef stone oven grill, and a tiramisu dessert. The dishes were all beautifully presented and delicious, with unique flavors and textures. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.

I guided guests from Hokkaido around the Shinjuku Kabukicho area, as today was their last day in Tokyo. I showed them the famous Godzilla from both above and below, and they were impressed. After visiting Hanazono Shrine and purchasing plenty of Hanazono manju and wet sweetened beans as souvenirs, we returned to the Kabukicho Tower where the bus to Haneda Airport departs. We went up to the 17th floor to a newly opened restaurant. We had made an early reservation, so we were seated by the window with a nice view. We ordered the holiday lunch course. We started with a toast with beer. The onion potage was rich and delicious. The salad bowl was surprisingly large with plenty to eat, and the dressing was to my liking. The main dish was a stone oven-grilled hamburger steak made from domestic beef and beef tongue, which was meaty and satisfying with generous portions. The tiramisu for dessert had a small additional charge, but it was also delicious. The milk tea came in a pot, and we had plenty for two cups in large cups. I was worried about the atmosphere being on top of a building with a game center and a movie theater, but the seating was spacious, the ceiling was high, and we were able to enjoy a relaxing lunch. If you go to Shinjuku, this is a restaurant I would like to use again. The guests from Hokkaido were also very satisfied and headed home.
