Located on the 17th floor of the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, this restaurant is absolutely lovely. Enjoy Italian course cuisine with a glass of wine in the afternoon at JAM17 DINING. This dining establishment is directly managed by HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, A PARKROYAL Hotel. It is a stylish and open space with a fantastic view connecting the entertainment floor to the hotel. From the moment you enter the restaurant, you will be charmed by the hospitality of the staff. They are very accommodating, even to solo diners, which is delightful. The highlight of the day was the delicious JAM'S Lunch Course at this restaurant, where you can truly experience the taste of goodness. We started with a toast with white wine. First, the potage soup was served. It was made with slowly roasted sweet carrots, offering a slightly warm temperature and smooth texture. The subtle aroma of cardamom oil was also delightful. It was a perfect start to the meal. The fluffy bread complemented it perfectly. And you can even have seconds of the bread, which is pure happiness. Next, we had a salad bowl made with 17 types of vegetables. The fresh vegetables were harvested near Tokyo. Each vegetable was incredibly fresh and crunchy! The lettuce was surprisingly crunchy! The roasted zucchini, bell peppers, green beans, and other assorted vegetables were vibrant and flavorful. The seasoning was exquisite, not overpowering the natural taste of the vegetables. As we continued to eat, a ratatouille was served, offering a change in flavor. There was even a playful touch with hidden carrot slices. Then came the pasta! Carbonara made with salted bacon. The perfect balance of saltiness and creamy, rich sauce coated the slightly thicker linguine, creating an incredibly delicious dish! The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the generous portion made us want more of its deliciousness. The hint of black pepper added a nice touch. And finally, the main dish, the meat! You can choose from 4 options, but we decided to add +1200 yen for the domestic beef thigh meat stone oven-grilled. The visual presentation was already amazing. The beautifully marbled lean meat was a delight to the eyes. It was clear even before tasting it that it would be incredibly delicious. And it was indeed, impressively delicious! The stress-free tenderness of the meat was sweet and flavorful with every bite, oozing with juiciness. Despite the rich fat content, the thigh meat was not overwhelming at all. I particularly enjoyed eating it simply with salt. It paired perfectly with red wine. The contrast with the crispy surface was also delightful. It was so good that it was hard to finish, so we savored it slowly. The side of white eggplant with sweet chili pepper and 5-year-aged potato was also fantastic. Finally, dessert time! The dessert was also a choice. I opted for the tiramisu! The smooth mascarpone cheese tiramisu cream, the crunchy thin chocolate sheet, and the sponge soaked in espresso at the bottom were all delightful. It was a tiramisu that tasted like nothing I had ever encountered before, incredibly delicious. As a surprise anniversary treat, the Anniversary Tree was brought out for an additional 2000 yen per person, adorned with cookies, macarons, and chocolates. Even the cookies on the Anniversary Tree were incredibly delicious. From start to finish, it was a truly happy time. I would love to visit this restaurant for dinner as well, not just for lunch. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
