☆Margherita (rustic) mozzarella cheese, dried tomato, basil rice, a single serving with the volume of one piece of bread☆Earl Grey cream breadThe cream has a strong Earl Grey aroma, with a mild sweetness that eliminates any guilt from its size. You can easily eat one in one go, thanks to its well-balanced taste. The bread of the cream bread is thin and soft. If you talk about the dense rustic, baguette, or bagel, Japanese bread is also amazing. The deep tea-colored cream, the feel and weight conveyed from the tongs, the happiness of the touch reminiscent of Kameido, and the gentle taste. This cream bread is a recent favorite. As a lover of tea sweets, I want to say that it doesn't come across as too much.

I visited Bakery Ken in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo (nearest station: Shimo-Akatsuka) after 5 pm on Friday. I parked at a nearby coin parking lot and entered the shop. I bought coffee and a pumpkin bagel, which was very satisfying. I will definitely visit again.

I bought a sesame cream pan pistachio bagel. I wonder how many pieces of sweet bread worth of weight is in one piece. About 10 pieces worth? I thought sesame cream pan was just a cream pan with sesame on top, but it turned out the cream inside was sesame cream (lol). It was a mysterious cream that I had never tasted before. The pistachio was green in color, with pistachio nuts inside. It was not too sweet, so it could be a good meal bread. Actually, the bagels here are almost like a once-in-a-lifetime encounter, except for a few exceptions, so I haven't been able to find blueberry ones lately (lol). Thank you for the meal. It was delicious.

I'm from the Kanto region, but I'm already thinking about tomorrow's bread. It's almost 8 p.m. and I wonder what kind and how many they have left. It seems like they are baking bread in the back. Since they are bagel-type breads, they should be fine even if they were made the day before. I can't remember the names, but I bought a ham-filled chapata and a bread with peach cream. Only two, but they are really heavy. They are big breads, but even heavier than their size. The aroma lingers even after some time. Delicious bread. Eating this will keep you full all day. I want to eat it again, but it's too far from my house.

In September on a Saturday afternoon around 3 pm, I visited the bakery. The heat had subsided a bit and there were about two people inside, browsing. The shop is small and can only accommodate up to four people at a time. I don't remember the prices, but I purchased the following items:
- Melon Pan
- Bagel
- Coffee An Mascarpone
- Pistachio
- French Bread
- Garlic Milk (possibly with raisins)
- Curry Pan
- Bacon Epi
- Chocolate Chip Scone
I bought 8 items for a little over 2000 yen. The standout item was the Coffee An Mascarpone Bagel. The bagel was soft and delicious, and the coffee an was excellent. The combination of coffee and mascarpone was perfect. The Bacon Epi, Scone, and French Bread were also very tasty. But I highly recommend the Coffee An Mascarpone Bagel.

This bread is like a weapon with its strong flavor. The Baguette for 280 yen has a wide range of flavors when you bite into it. It can handle strong fillings well. Eating it feels like being alive. The Cereal Baguette for 300 yen is even better when topped with jam or cream for a dessert. It's also great for fruit sandwiches with its good acidity and density.

This is my second visit. The closest station to Tobu Tojo Line Shimoakatsuka Station is the first time I visited on Bagel Monday, where all items are 190 yen. Last time, around 7:30 pm, I bought 4 items for 260 yen, so I decided to visit again. Since Monday is Bagel Day, it's difficult to buy my favorite one. This time, I arrived around 7:45 pm, later than last time. Maybe they're sold out? I walked in and found that they had bagels inside the store, not outside like last time. Any 4 bagels for 260 yen! They had Cheese, Mango, Black Tea, and Peach flavors. The plain bagel had cheese and mango mixed in. The black tea had a good aroma and a slightly sweet black tea cream. As for the peach... It was a sweet, dessert-like bagel. I got 4 bagels for 260 yen, almost the price of one bagel for 4, so I got a good deal again this time.

Today, I bought a miso nut and a croissant for 190 yen each. Both were satisfyingly delicious. I will definitely visit again.

Both Cream Pan for 220 yen
Nihon Pan no Takara Cream Pan
A straightforward and gently sweet bread that is uniquely Ken-like. The deliciousness of the wheat is evident with every bite, bringing happiness with each Cream Pan.
Chorizo Dried Tomato Epi for 410 yen
A meal-sized volume with intense umami flavor like a side dish. The balance is just right. With a size that exceeds the original, Nihon Pan at Shimoakatsuka offers a place you can visit daily.

After 14:00 on a regular day, there was only one customer ahead of me and it seemed like only half of the items were available on the shelves. Perhaps the variety of items was also about half. I was surprised when I looked at the price cards. The prices were very reasonable even though the portions were not small. A large pizza for 300 yen is unheard of in the city center. It was fun to choose from the menu.
- Large Azuki Bean Rustic Bread: Plenty of mildly sweet azuki beans. I prefer more bread than filling, but this was delicious.
- Chocolate Chip Scone: Moist rather than crumbly, with lots of chocolate chips. Why is this so cheap?
- Chocolate Mint and Lemon Scone: Bought this as a souvenir for my son. The price was unbelievably reasonable for the size. I will definitely visit this place again if I am nearby.

"Hello, it's Mogu-suke from 'Bakery Ken.' The password is 'Delicious is 0 calories!' Today, I would like to share my experience at 'Bakery Ken,' which I visited recently. Despite being a bit far from central Tokyo, this place is quite popular. The bagels here are really delicious with a soft and chewy texture! They offer a variety of unique bagels like purple sweet potato and sakura almond. You can never have too many bagels! Delicious is 0 calories! If you ever find yourself in Shimo-Akatsuka, be sure to stop by.

On Sunday around 11 AM, I lined up and had lunch at a nearby Thai restaurant called Baikyo. About an hour later when I went back, I was able to enter at a good timing. There is a limit of up to 4 people allowed inside, and you have to check inside by yourself before entering. This time, I got some dried tomato and chorizo bread that I like.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon. Luckily, the wait time was only about 5 minutes due to the rule of allowing only up to 4 people inside the store. I had heard beforehand that the bread was big, but I was truly surprised when I saw it in person! The freshly baked bread kept coming out one after another, and I had a happy dilemma of which ones to buy ❤️ I ended up buying 3 bagel types, 1 hard type, and 1 brown rice bread - a total of 5 items, but they were so heavy! When I got home, I couldn't help but weigh them before cutting and freezing them, and I was even more surprised by the result! 😂 All the bread had plenty of fillings packed inside, so that's why they were so heavy. The simple bread dough with homemade natural yeast is great, and with so many fillings, it's definitely worth more than the price!

Ikebukuro is the nearest station to the restaurant, which is located near the Tobu Tojo Line's Shimoakatsuka station or the Fukutoshin Line and Yurakucho Line's subway Akatsuka station. Mondays are Bagel Days, where you can buy one for 190 yen. Prices start at around 220 yen, going up to over 400 yen for the more expensive options. I arrived at the station around 7:30 pm and was worried they might be sold out by then, as they close once they run out. I hurried to the restaurant and luckily they still had some left! I was able to buy a pack of 4 for 260 yen, which was a great deal. I had planned to buy 2 for the next morning and lunch, so it worked out perfectly for me. The bag was quite heavy, and when I weighed it at home, each bagel was over 300g, with the lightest one being 260g. I froze them after cutting them in half and wrapped them in plastic. When I eat them, I warm them up in the microwave. The flavors I got were walnut, cocoa, red bean and cream cheese, and chocolate. I couldn't take a picture of the chocolate one as I ate it at work. The cocoa and plain mix bagel had chocolate in it, giving it a sweet treat feeling. The walnut one had a gentle sweetness and a nice mix of small and large walnuts. The red bean and cream cheese was my favorite, with the sweet and salty cheese flavors blending perfectly. The chocolate chip one had a generous amount of chips, enhancing the simple dough. I checked their Instagram and found out that the manager had been hospitalized due to a foot injury but has since recovered and returned to work. It's nice to see the manager back at the popular restaurant. I look forward to trying more of their bagels in the future.

Finally had some free time so I went to Ken's Bakery, a place I've been wanting to visit for a while! I arrived a little after 7 o'clock, with 3 customers already inside. It's a small shop with walls lined with trays of bread... I purchased about 6 items and carrying the tray with tongs was a bit difficult (laughs). After paying, I found a nearby park and dug in! Here are the breads I bought:
- Chestnut Boy Sweet Potato Mont Blanc: A layered bread with pumpkin paste, caramel, pumpkin dough, peanut butter, almond cream, Mont Blanc paste, and a chestnut on top. The base was firm but the pumpkin paste and caramel made it tasty. It was not overly sweet and I finished it all.
- Sweet Potato: A bread with sweet potato, pie crust, purple sweet potato dough, cinnamon filling, sweet potato, and crumble on top. This was definitely delicious with a good balance of flavors.
- Pistachio: A bread with lots of pistachios inside. The bread itself was light green with lots of pistachios. It was slightly sweet and suited those who like simple flavors.
- Sweet Potato Gorgonzola: A bread with a little gorgonzola inside. Toasting it and eating with wine was a great match.
- Miso Crich: A combination of sweet miso and crich was excellent.
- The Elvis Presley Loved Sandwich: A sandwich with bacon, banana, peanut butter, honey, and more. I bought it out of curiosity but ended up enjoying the unique combination.
Overall, the breads were delicious and not too heavy despite their rich appearance. Perfect for those who love sweet potatoes and chestnuts. A great first experience at Ken's Bakery!

[Crowded Situation] Day: Sunday Time: 11:30 Line: None・There is usually a line, but it was a very hot day so there was no line.
[Order] Item: An Butter Bagel Price: 420 yen As usual, the size of the An Butter Bagel at Boulangerie Ken is quite large, with a weight of 558g in the past. The taste was delicious, with a good balance of not too sweet anko and butter. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

This shop, which also appears on TV occasionally, was on my list to visit, so I went there when I had some time. I visited on Monday around 11 o'clock and there were people coming and going constantly. Monday is the day when bagels are 190 yen each! The shop smelled of bread, with a nice aroma. There were many bagels stacked up, different from other bakeries I've been to. I chose a cocoa and a coffee cream bagel this time. When I picked one up, it was surprisingly heavy. I thought if I bought 3 or 4, it would be too heavy and I wouldn't be able to finish them all. The bagels were hard, with a lot of chewiness and a large size, so one was enough to make me full. The taste was delicious, although the filling was a bit sparse and uneven. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the tasty bagels. Thank you for the meal!

I visited Bagelman on a Monday around 8:30 am and was able to enter without waiting. I tried the Carrot Cake Bagel, which had walnuts, chopped carrots, and cream cheese frosting. The frosting was delicious, but the bagel itself was far from tasting like carrot cake. The Banana Cinnamon Sweet Potato bagel had no discernible banana flavor, but the sweet potato cream was tasty. The Miso Nut bagel had an unexpected combination of flavors, with the sweet and salty miso complementing the dough well. The Pumpkin Curry bagel had pumpkin dough, but it was hard to tell, and there was only a little curry inside, which was disappointing. The price of 190 yen for these bagels is good value for the portion size. However, despite the good value, the bagels were not very impressive. The store had piles of bagels and did not look very clean inside, so I have concerns about hygiene.

On a certain Wednesday during the baguette sale, I arrived after 12 o'clock and missed the sale price. I ended up purchasing baguettes and scones at the regular price. The satisfaction of getting something delicious that I knew would be good. I obtained permission from the store and took a photo to remember the moment.
