Naan is a fan of plain naan, but recently cheese naan has been gaining popularity, and curry restaurants are challenging themselves with cheese naan. Cheese naan fills you up quickly, so it's important to condition yourself beforehand. This seems to be a well-known restaurant in Nishi-Kasai. I ordered their popular butter chicken masala and cheese naan set. The butter chicken had plenty of chicken chunks. The portion size was small but easy to eat and surprisingly filling. The cheese naan had honey drizzled on top. The amount of cheese was relatively moderate. Cheese and honey go so well together, don't they? After finishing the meal, my stomach felt heavy like a heavyweight wrestler. The journey to find the perfect cheese naan for myself is about to begin...

There are only three types of curry available, and you cannot choose the selection yourself. On this day, they served spinach, butter chicken, and shrimp curry. The other photo shows a biryani dish priced at 1700 yen. They also offer unique items like carrot dessert that you won't find at other restaurants, so I recommend trying a variety of dishes.

I chose the B lunch set with two types of curry, chicken and spinach pork. The naan here is thick and salty. The curry I ordered was medium spicy, but it was a bit lacking in heat. Personally, I felt it was a bit powdery and I wanted to taste more distinct flavors of each dish.

After finishing the car inspection, I decided to take a drive to let the car run a bit. Around noon, we started looking for a place to eat. I remembered there was a famous curry restaurant in Nishi Kasai, so we came here. The main branch was featured on TV and had a unique seating arrangement where you always face the corner of the table. Even though it was a holiday, they had weekday lunch menus available, and I wasn't sure what to order. The table was sticky, and when I wiped it with the wet towel, the color came off... I ordered two curry sets, one with mutton and one with chicken. The curry was spicy, and the mutton had a unique aroma that was delicious. However, considering the quality, you can find similar curry for a cheaper price elsewhere, and most of all, I couldn't forget the stickiness of the table in a bad way... I probably won't visit this place again.

When it comes to Nishi-Ogikubo, it is said that many people of Indian and Nepalese descent live there. Because of this, there are many curry restaurants in the area. I visited a place called Calcutta that I had checked on Tabelog for some reason. I ordered the B set of the HOLIDAY SPECIAL LUNCH, where you can choose your curry. I chose the spinach and cottage cheese curry, as well as the shrimp and eggplant curry. The meal started with a salad, which had a sesame dressing that I found to be surprisingly delicious for a curry restaurant. The chicken tikka and seekh kebab were also very tasty with their strong spices. The curries were a bit on the mild side. Personally, I felt that the spinach curry could use more garlic. The shrimp was nice and firm. The naan bread was also delicious, and I left satisfied. It would have been even better if there were voices saying "Sorry for the wait," "Here you go," and "Thank you" though... Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to eat Asian cuisine around the Kasai area, so I became a refugee and found salvation. I chose the stable curry and shrimp curry. I enjoyed the tomato flavor. The fennel seeds at the cash register were also delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The curry was delicious and the naan was not too heavy, but my expectations were too high so I was like, "Hmm, it's just really good." I chose the B lunch set, which included butter chicken and today's special curry with spinach keema. It's nice that you can choose the level of spiciness, which is great for families with kids. I'm not a big fan of spicy food, so I went with mild, but maybe I should have gone with a bit spicier. The tandoori chicken that came with it was a bit small. I also ordered a hot masala chai after the meal, and I was glad that it wasn't too sweet by default for Japanese taste. It cost 1200 yen, so I think it's good value for money. I was really full after the meal.

I went to the curry restaurant that was introduced on Hirunandesu. I arrived early to be able to enter as soon as they opened. I ordered the Chicken Butter Masala and Cheese Naan set. Both the curry and the cheese naan were amazing!!!! The curry had plenty of chicken chunks, and the flavor and richness of the spices were perfectly balanced. The cheese naan was loaded with cheese and butter, so delicious that you could eat it on its own!! I want to get takeout. It was my first time at Nishi-Kasai Station, but I would be willing to go back just for this curry.

Calcutta has reached a level where five visits are not enough. Today, I visited to try their biryani. I ordered the chicken biryani for 1700 yen. Their biryani is the type where masala is mixed in. Sometimes this type can be too spicy, but the perfect taste of spices combined with the fluffy basmati rice is amazing. Legendary, as always. I added yogurt halfway through for a change in flavor and finished every last bite. It was delicious, I will definitely be back.

Lunch visit ◼️ Chicken Butter Masala + Cheese Naan 1850 yen
It may be a bit pricey for lunch, but I highly recommend it! The Cheese Naan with honey drizzled on top is like a Quattro Formaggi, sweet and salty, the best naan ever!
◼️ B Lunch 1100 yen
- Spinach and Potato Curry
Spicy and quite light, a bit mild for those who prefer stronger flavors. The naan was a bit bland.
- Shrimp and Eggplant Curry
The shrimp had a seafood mix feel to it, slightly disappointing. The Tandoori Chicken was different from the usual Indian restaurants, mild and delicious. The service from the staff was also friendly and good.

Located about 5 minutes from Nishi-Oi Station, this Indian curry restaurant offers North Indian curry at its main branch in the north exit. I visited the restaurant around 8 pm on a weekday and ordered the Keema Masala with rice for 1,500 yen. The curry was rich and very delicious, with plenty of minced meat for a satisfying meal. The spice level was just right. The curry also had chopped boiled eggs, which added a nice texture. It would go well with naan too. Thank you for the meal!

Here is Little India in Tokyo, go left at the rotary on the north side of Nishi-Kasai, continue down the street near Y's mart, and turn right at the next traffic light. When you're unsure what to order at an Indian restaurant, try the Indian set meal called Thali, spicy. The lineup includes Chicken Butter Masala, Pork Saagwala (spinach), Jhinga Masala (spicy shrimp), Tandoori Chicken, Seekh Kebab, Green Salad, Naan, small Saffron Rice, and Papad. Upon trying it, it wasn't as spicy as expected, but the flavors were deep and impressive. The broth was very rich. The Chicken Butter Masala and Saagwala go well with Naan, while the spicy shrimp pairs nicely with Saffron Rice. What stood out was the incredibly delicious chai tea. It had a wonderful balance of black tea aroma and milk. It may not have been an authentic North Indian curry, but it was elegant and delicious.

I actually wanted to go to the South Exit store to eat dosa, but I mistakenly entered the main store on this day. When I entered the store, there were only two menu papers, and I couldn't find dosa, so I asked, "Is there no dosa?" The staff pointed to the two menus and said, "This and this. Lunch." The staff was quite unfriendly. It would have been nice if they had told me that dosa is at the South Exit store at that time, since they seem to be related. In the end, I ordered the cheapest A lunch. I could choose two types of curry, so I chose keema and palak paneer. First, lassi and salad were brought, but they were placed quite rudely without a word. Furthermore, the thali plate with curry was placed silently and smoothly. I was quite irritated but managed to endure. The keema curry and naan were reasonably tasty, but the palak paneer was not as delicious as I had never eaten before. I felt like it was the worst. The final bill was handled by another staff member, and that person told me in detail that dosa is at the South Exit store and also explained the location of the South Exit store. Except for the last staff member, it was a somewhat unbelievable experience at the restaurant.

New curry exploration, this day was the main store of Calcutta. Staring at the menu, I decided to go with the B lunch set. I didn't mind skipping the Tandoori Chicken, but having only one curry felt a bit lonely. The set included Chicken Curry and the special of the day (Seafood and Spinach), along with salad and a drink. First, the Naan, with a fluffy and chewy texture, might be my favorite in Nishikasai so far. The surface oil makes me wipe my hands frequently, but it's worth it. The Chicken Curry was delicious! A slight tomato acidity followed by a gradual spiciness and a hint of spices. It's rare to find curry served piping hot in such restaurants, but this one was hot till the end. On the other hand, the special seemed to be Seafood Mix with Spinach. The spinach curry was a bit on the firmer side, and it was not as hot as the Chicken Curry. While I enjoyed the Naan and Chicken Curry, the special didn't quite match well. Next time, I'll stick with the Chicken and try something else.

Lunch Set C for 1200 yen was delicious! I chose the lamb and seafood curry with spiciness level at 3/4, but it was perfectly balanced between spicy and flavorful. The lamb curry was especially delicious, with tender meat. The Seekh Kebab and Tandoori were also flavorful and well-marinated. The salad seemed simple, but the Lassi drink was just right, not too sweet. I will definitely come back again! I also want to try the Biryani next time!

I heard that Nishi-Oi has many delicious curry restaurants, so I looked it up on Tabelog. The most popular one was closed on this day, so I decided to go to the next highest-rated one. I ordered the A lunch set, and the special of the day was spinach keema. The salad vegetables were surprisingly fresh and delicious. It didn't take long for a large naan and curry to arrive. The naan was delicious and the curry had a good level of spiciness and depth of flavor. The curry remained tasty until the last bite. I chose lassi as my drink, and it had a strong flavor that I liked, making me want to drink it all at once. I finished the huge naan in no time.

Godfather's restaurant in Nishi-Ogikubo. I've been to the south branch a few times recently, but it's been so long since I've been to the main branch in the north. The north branch serves North Indian cuisine, while the south branch serves South Indian cuisine, making it easy to distinguish between the two. Originally, it was a dining spot for Indian SEs who came to Japan around the time of the Y2K problem, but now it offers consistently delicious everyday dishes. It's a wonderful restaurant, embodying the great but humble contributions of Godfather. I will definitely be back.

Visited a famous Indian curry restaurant that often appears in the media for lunch on a holiday for the first time. Ordered A-lunch (Keema curry, shrimp and eggplant curry), lassi, and upgraded to cheese naan for an additional ¥300. The food was served in about 15 minutes. The plate with a large naan was impressive. The good smell of curry whetted my appetite. Starting with a bite of the hot naan, it was filled with plenty of cheese. The rich cheese was enjoyable, and the basil added a refreshing touch, creating a delicious balance. The addition of honey provided a sweet and salty taste that was addictive. The Keema curry was packed with minced meat, and chunks of meat added volume to the dish. It had a complex and well-spiced flavor, a truly authentic Indian curry experience. The shrimp and eggplant curry, on the other hand, was creamy and suitable even for children. The plump shrimp and soft eggplant were plentiful and delightful. While the spices were present, the sweetness of the shrimp and vegetables stood out in this tasty curry. I enjoyed topping the naan with these delicious curries and was completely satisfied. It was a holiday, so there were many regular customers. This authentic Indian curry restaurant is loved by the locals. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but if you have the chance, please do visit.

I had heard that Nishi-Kasai is known for its large Indian community and is considered a mecca for curry dishes, so I had always wanted to try popular Indian cuisine in Nishi-Kasai. I had some business in Edogawa Ward, so I decided to use it as an opportunity to have lunch with my child on the weekend. The menu mainly consisted of curry set meals, more like the rich and creamy curries from northern India that are popular in Japan. The main staple was naan bread, and I felt that the dishes were adapted to be more easily enjoyed by Japanese people. It was reassuring to find that even with a young child, I could enjoy a meal without any worries.

Located in a place just northwest of Nishi-Ogikubo Station, this Indian restaurant offers a lunch menu with different sets:
A: Curry (1 type), Naan or Rice, Salad, Drink - 810 yen
B: Curry (2 types), Tandoori Chicken, Naan or Rice, Salad, Drink - 950 yen
C: Curry (2 types), Tandoori Chicken, Seekh Kebab, Naan or Rice, Salad, Drink - 1200 yen
I ordered the C-LUNCH set (Curry 2 types, Chicken Tikka, Seekh Kebab, Drink) for 1200 yen. The curry types were Chicken Curry and Seafood Curry with normal spiciness level. The Chicken Curry was mild and not very spicy, while the Seafood Curry was creamy and mild with small shrimp in it. The Tandoori Chicken was tender and the Seekh Kebab was spicy and juicy, but the size was a bit small. The Naan was soft and slightly sweet. The Lassi drink was a little sweet and very refreshing.
