It's been over three years since my last visit. This is my second time having lunch here. I was surprised by the deliciousness last time and had been wanting to come back. I opted for the omakase course at 3800 yen. The meal started with a dish of century egg tofu, which was accompanied by soybeans called dou chi instead of natto. The century egg tofu had a perfect balance of saltiness and a fragrant oil, possibly sesame oil. Oh, I'm glad I came to Koushun. The stir-fried chingensai and water lily vegetables had a crunchy texture and the dou chi added a nice accent. The daikon mochi was filled with small shrimp and was incredibly delicious. The shrimp miso tofu, with garlic-infused shrimp miso and fluffy tofu, was excellent. The half portion of braised pork was so tender that it could be cut with chopsticks. It had a Taiwanese twist and was superb. The cold noodles had a firm texture and a creamy miso sauce, also delicious. The dessert was a refreshing almond jelly with fruits resembling cassis. My personal favorites of the day were the daikon mochi, shrimp miso tofu, and braised pork. There were two staff members, but the chef was the only one preparing the dishes. It had been three years, but I recognized him instantly. I have to admit, this person is a genius. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I revisited a restaurant in Tainan after returning from Taiwan and wanted to try their Tainan cuisine. The soft shell crab seasoned with salted duck eggs was delicious, and the crab roe fried rice was luxurious. Even the almond tofu dessert had a gentle and delicious flavor. I would love to come back again.

It was a hot sunny Sunday when I visited the restaurant just after opening. The restaurant is located along the railway tracks. There was one group of customers before me and one group after me. I ordered the Braised Pork Belly (half) for 1,045 yen, Daikon Mochi (half) for 480 yen, Century Egg Tofu for 990 yen, and Fruit Tea for 385 yen.
The Braised Pork Belly was exceptional, with a tenderness I had never experienced before. It was so soft that it could be cut with chopsticks without following the fibers. The sweet sauce of the pork belly, which I usually don't like, had a soy sauce flavor with a hint of garlic. It was surprisingly refreshing to eat. The Daikon Mochi had a unique chewy texture, and the dried shrimp broth added a nice touch. It is a must-try dish along with the Braised Pork Belly.
The Century Egg Tofu had small pieces of tofu that were packed with flavor. The strong salty taste paired well with alcohol. The Fruit Tea, made from blueberries exclusive to this restaurant, had a familiar taste with a hint of nutrition.
The atmosphere was like a local Chinese restaurant, but the taste was exceptional. Although I didn't try it today, they also serve Lu Rou Fan, a dish from southern Taiwan that the owner prefers over the northern style. There are various other menu items to explore, such as the Shrimp Miso Tofu. I look forward to trying it next time I visit.

Wow! Finally got a seat! I was walking and thought the atmosphere of this restaurant looked nice, so I went in, but it was full. The next place was closed for the day, and when I called to make a reservation, they said it was reserved for a private party. But finally, I made it into this highly anticipated place!! Everything was delicious as rumored. The daikon mochi was the best I've ever had! Definitely going back again! I went around lunchtime when they opened, and soon after, all the seats were filled. Some people couldn't get in. If you go around 1:30 pm, you might be lucky enough to get a seat. The owner's father was such a charming person, and even the fried rice was impressive (laughs). A truly wonderful restaurant experience.

Located a 1-minute walk from Ikejiri-Ohashi Station on the Keio Inokashira Line and a 5-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station on the Odakyu Line and Inokashira Line, this restaurant along the Inokashira Line tracks is frequented by celebrities. It was also featured on the TV show "The Best Restaurant in Life". This Taiwanese restaurant offers delicious dishes at a great price. They serve beer and Shaoxing wine, as well as tea. The intestines, soy sauce-marinated clams, and daikon mochi we ordered at first were all incredibly tasty. Among them, the shrimp miso tofu and tender pork belly were outstanding. The shrimp miso tofu had a strong umami flavor, while the tender pork belly was so soft that it didn't require any chewing. Today's order included: intestines, soy sauce-marinated clams, daikon mochi, saltwater chicken, shrimp miso tofu, tender pork belly, karasumi, dry noodle line (soupless noodles), and stir-fried vermicelli. I visited the famous Taiwanese restaurant, Koshun. I had fried rice, minced pork rice, dry noodles, and radish cake, so it was a carbohydrate festival. We arrived at 11:30 when the restaurant opened, and there was only one group of customers, so we were able to enter easily. We had Taiwanese beer as well since we had walked in the heat. The fried rice is delicious! The minced pork rice is also delicious! And the radish cake goes well with garlic soy sauce, making the beer go down smoothly. If you are near Ikejiri-Ohashi Station, be sure to visit.

I visited Hikaru-san, who I had been curious about for a while. It was a holiday, so I had a daytime beer! I ordered intestines, stir-fried greens, and sweet and sour pork as snacks. The intestines were very authentic with strong spices. The stir-fried greens had a salty garlic flavor, just the way I like it. The sweet and sour pork was made with cabbage, leeks, and green peppers that were stir-fried in oil, giving the vegetables a crunchy texture. The combination with sweet bean sauce was excellent! For dessert, I had minced pork rice and chicken soba. The minced pork rice tasted just like the one I had in Taiwan, with the cilantro adding a nice touch. The chicken soba was the recommended dish, and it lived up to its reputation! The soup had a rich flavor, and the chicken and vegetable topping was perfect. This is truly an authentic Taiwanese restaurant!

I picked a restaurant to visit on a Saturday morning when my son was not around, as my wife wanted to go to a place where he wouldn't be interested. We ended up choosing a Taiwanese restaurant, as my wife had developed an interest in Taiwanese cuisine due to her frequent business trips to Taiwan. We made a reservation for just before 1 pm and took the train to get there. The journey took about an hour, and we arrived at the restaurant near the train station. The place was not too crowded, with about 80% of the seats filled. We sat at the counter and ordered Taiwanese craft beer for my wife and Taiwanese beer for myself. We also ordered dishes like century egg tofu, taro balls, minced pork rice, dry noodle soup, and a vegetable and bean stir-fry. The century egg tofu was delicious, with the tofu finely cut and mixed well with the century egg. The minced pork rice was satisfying, with the braised pork belly and bamboo shoots adding great flavor. We finished the meal with taro balls for dessert, which were beautifully colored and had a perfect balance of sweetness. Overall, the food was excellent, and we had a great experience at the restaurant. I would definitely recommend it to others and plan to visit again for dinner in the future.

This is my favorite restaurant that I have visited many times. It is located right along the tracks just after getting off at Ike no Ue Station. On this day, I ordered pineapple fried rice and stir-fried vermicelli, I think. I also ordered daikon mochi! The daikon mochi is eaten with garlic soy sauce, which I personally find very delicious and I almost always order it. I ordered the pineapple fried rice to support Taiwan. It came on a pineapple-shaped plate, which is considered lucky. The sweetness of the pineapple and the savory flavor of the fried rice complement each other well. It was really delicious. This restaurant serves delicious food no matter what you order, and it is quite popular as it is sometimes full at night, so I think making a reservation is a sure way to go!
I came here for the first time in about 10 years. I ordered the shrimp fried rice because I like it. It looked appetizing, but the taste seemed to have declined a bit. Fried rice is best when it's piping hot, but it wasn't here. My standard for Chinese food is that a restaurant with delicious simple dishes like fried rice or ramen is always a safe bet.

My father knew that Jiafan wine among Shaoxing wines had a completely different taste, and indeed, the scent was different. It was incredibly delicious. The dishes were not exceptional, but tasty. The preserved egg was disappointing. It was unfortunate that many menu items were not available, perhaps because we visited on a Sunday. The one-sho bottle of Shaoxing wine is worth it for those who drink a lot, as you can keep the bottle.

[April 2023 Revisit] Regular visit to Koshun. I have been persistently revisiting this place to the point where it has become a routine. The restaurant primarily operates at night, but they also serve food during the weekends. What's even better is that the menu structure remains the same as at night, which is super exciting. The more you get to know the food at this place, the more you want to come back for more. This time, I mixed up repeat orders with some new dishes. I'll have a medium-sized draft beer (570 yen). They also offer Taiwanese beer, but it doesn't quite suit my taste, so I'll stick to Japanese beer. - Handmade Sausage 770 yen Homemade sausage. The crispy skin, juicy minced meat, and the flavor of star anise make this dish outstanding. I've had it multiple times, and it's always excellent. The slightly acidic sauce paired with green onions is just perfect. I wish they sold this sauce, it's that good. - Century Egg Tofu 990 yen Made with slightly fermented century eggs, the tofu is already crumbled. Served with chopped green onions and coriander as garnish. This dish is apparently a slightly unusual way of eating in Taiwan, but it's delicious! The richness of the century egg, the smoothness of the tofu, and the seasoning create a delightful combination. Just a slight change in ingredients can make a significant difference. I really enjoyed this century egg tofu. - Dry Noodles 715 yen A local dish from Pingtung County in southern Taiwan, highly recommended by the restaurant. Simple, with a street food-like B-grade appearance. The noodles are soft straight thin noodles topped with fried onions and fragrant oil. Extremely simple yet incredibly delicious. I personally love this kind of food, and this dish really appeals to that preference. It's also great with added toppings! ----------------------------------------- [In conclusion] After multiple revisits and trying various dishes, I can confidently say that there are no misses here, only hits of "delicious" or "super delicious". The century egg tofu and dry noodles I tried for the first time today were also delicious and worth a repeat visit. I'm starting to have trouble deciding what to order next. Today's bill came to a total of 2472 yen. Thank you for the meal.

There is a famous Taiwanese restaurant located right next to Ikejiri-Ohashi Station on the Inokashira Line, known for serving Shanghai crab during the season. They also offer a variety of rare vegetable dishes such as fresh water lily, golden needle vegetables, and yellow chives. Some of their popular dishes include sausage daikon cake, water lily salad, white asparagus, dried noodle soup, menma, oyster and tofu, and pineapple fried rice.

I ordered soupless noodles and Taiwanese version of Dr. Pepper. I visited the restaurant because I wanted to try the noodles that I couldn't eat in Taiwan in March. I had never tried soupless noodles before. The taste was not as strong as it looked, more like garlic! But there was no heavy feeling after eating. The Dr. Pepper felt like drinking Salonpas, which was surprisingly fitting.

I always wanted to try this popular restaurant that I couldn't get into before. I ordered the stir-fried greens and found the vegetables to be delicious. The chicken ramen was also very tasty with a gentle flavor that made it easy to keep eating. The bamboo shoots, Chinese cabbage, and green onions all tasted great. I want to try out various other menu items at this restaurant. The seating area where you have to take off your shoes in the back gives off a cozy feeling like being at home.

【Nearest Station】1 minute walk from Ikenoue Station【Budget】3000-4000 yen【Overview】Located right next to Ikenoue Station, along the Keio Inokashira Line. If you take a side street right next to the train line, you will discover "Koushun," a Taiwanese restaurant with a traditional atmosphere. They serve lunch and dinner, with lunch prices ranging from 1000 yen to a 3500 yen course menu featuring luxurious dishes using seasonal ingredients like braised pork belly and oyster mapo tofu. It's recommended to make a reservation for the 3500 yen course as prices may vary depending on the ingredients of the day. Braised pork belly and oyster mapo tofu are the recommended dishes! There are 4 counter seats and 3 tables for 4 people each.【Menu】- Daikon Mochi- Stir-Fried Greens (Gai Choy)- Ebi Mayo- Oyster Mapo Tofu- Century Egg Omelette- Braised Pork Belly- Lu Rou Fan- Almond Tofu【Notes】Visited with a friend who loves Taiwanese cuisine. I also love Taiwanese food, especially Lu Rou Fan... and I can't resist delicious coriander. We made a reservation online two days in advance. Despite being a Sunday, there were available seats, and we enjoyed a quiet atmosphere while chatting with the chef. The 3500 yen course offers a satisfying variety of delicious dishes! Even if you get full, you can rest assured as they will pack up leftovers for you to take home! Here are some menu items that left a lasting impression: - Oyster Mapo Tofu: A delicious mapo tofu that makes you want to eat it with rice. The combination of oysters and mapo tofu was new to me and very fresh. The plump oysters, spicy mapo, and the perfect balance of saltiness and richness from the oysters create an exquisite dish! You can adjust the spiciness, so don't hesitate to ask for it spicy if you like! - Stir-Fried Greens: A dish made with Gai Choy. By harvesting Gai Choy in its young stage, you can eat both the stems and leaves. The stems are sweet, and the leaves have a slight bitterness, showcasing the depth of flavors in food. The knowledgeable chef will answer any questions you have. - Lu Rou Fan: Lu Rou Fan topped with homemade dried mullet roe. The chunky meat is so tender that you hardly need to use your jaw muscles. I'm not a fan of star anise being too strong, but the star anise flavor was subtle, with a lovely aroma of coriander and the balance of flavors like mullet roe making it delicious. This was the best Lu Rou Fan I've had in a while! - Braised Pork Belly: You'll be amazed by how tender it is! It's so soft that it crumbles when you try to pick it up with chopsticks. It's not greasy, and this tenderness comes from the proper cooking method of the meat! The garlic-infused water spinach around it is also delicious, so don't forget to try it! I would love to visit again, whether it's just for lunch to have Lu Rou Fan or for dinner to enjoy Taiwanese cuisine with a glass of Shaoxing wine. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

On Sunday around 1 pm, I visited for the first time and started with a draft beer! Then I ordered Shaoxing wine. The dishes I ordered were intestines, oyster and tofu hot pot, daikon mochi, pork belly and mushrooms, and minced pork rice. The most delicious dish was the intestines. I've never had this kind of texture before. Thank you for the meal.

Well, last time I arrived 15 minutes after opening without a reservation and it was full, so this time I made a reservation online. Saturday evening, of course, it was full. I looked at various recommendations from online reviews and decided what to eat. Daikon mochi - it was okay, but nothing special. Stuffed intestine - hmm, just average. Compared to the stuffed intestine cooked with rice at Nam Yue Mei Sek in Chinatown, this one seemed ordinary. Stir-fried vegetables - average Soft-shell crab with duck eggs - average Stir-fried tofu - average Fried vermicelli - average Tomato fried rice - average Hmm, everything was just average. I couldn't really feel the Taiwanese vibe. The flavors were a bit too strong. There were partitions and sufficient space between tables, which was not bothersome. The restaurant is old and not very clean. Overall, it was disappointing and I won't be visiting again.

Less than a minute walk from the station. Open for business from January 3rd. Saw impressive catches of swordfish and Hime-dai on the shop's Instagram and made a same-day reservation. Managed to slip in. Had one draft beer each, a bottle of Shaoxing wine (640ml), 5 dishes, and it came to just under 9,800 yen for two people. No appetizers or seating charge. Didn't order swordfish sashimi or Hanadai. Wanted to pour the soup from the steamed fish over rice. Also interested in trying the Lu Rou Fan available for takeout.

I had always wanted to visit a Taiwanese Chinese restaurant. The bright yellow sign visible from the Inokashira Line piqued my interest, but I had missed the chance to go for lunch on a weekday. Finally, I was able to go and ordered a set course for lunch. Everything was delicious, but the shrimp tofu and Shanghai crab stir-fry were exceptional. The tofu in the shrimp tofu dish, combined with the shrimp sauce, tasted so much like shirako (milt) that I wondered, "Is this really tofu?" The Shanghai crab risotto was served in a fancy-looking dish that seemed like it belonged in a high-end French restaurant, and the taste was on par with that level. The rice was cooked al dente, and just thinking about it makes me want to eat it again. The Shaoxing wine was also delicious. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.
