My partner and I had hamburgers for dinner at night, and I arrived at the meeting place an hour and a half early. So, as usual, I decided to stop by for a quick gas refill. This time, we went to "Nagomitei," the same place we visited last time. We were seated and I ordered a draft beer to start. My partner was deep in thought while I quickly drank the first beer that arrived, silently raising a toast to myself and taking a big gulp. I ordered a plate of assorted pickles, green onion char siu, and potato salad. It may seem like a lot of food, but it's okay because I ordered a second beer (laughs). The assorted pickles were a luxurious mix of Chinese cabbage, pickled turnips, and radishes, all generously piled up. Perfect for those who love salty flavors. Oh, I wish I had some white rice with this (laughs). Next, the green onion char siu arrived. The char siu was seasoned with sesame oil and salt, making it refreshing and perfect for pairing with beer. I ordered my second beer at this point. Finally, the potato salad was as smooth and creamy as mashed potatoes. It was simple, with sliced onions adding a nice touch, and the flavor of the potatoes really shone through. (I loved it so much that I even thought about buying some potatoes and making it myself). We enjoyed our meal and drinks, and had a great time once again. Thank you for the delicious food! ■ Shop Information - Nagomitei Izakaya - Address: 3-1-4 Azumabashi, Sumida-ku, Tokyo, Japan - Budget: $10-30 - Business Hours: Mon-Sat 5:00 pm - 2:00 am, Sun/Holidays 5:00 pm - 12:00 am - Closed on: Golden Week, Obon, New Year's holidays #AzumabashiGourmet #TokyoGourmet #TokyoGourmetClub #Izakaya #Nagomitei #WantToConnectWithFoodies

After finishing work, the drinking enthusiast headed to Honjo Azumabashi. Today, they invited a drinking buddy to go to "Funsei" in Honjo Azumabashi. Arriving a little early, they decided to have a quick drink at "Izakaya Nagomitei" near Honjo Azumabashi Station. They started with a lemon sour and ordered simmered motsu as a snack. By registering on LINE, they received potato with delicious salt and pepper as a bonus, which went well with their drinks. They also ordered a large highball, and after finishing their quick drink, they called it a night.

On this day (December 9, 2022), I met up with my partner at Honjo-Azumabashi Station at 7:00 PM to have hamburgers together, but I arrived about 40 minutes early (too early, haha). So, I decided to go to Nagomitei near the station by myself for a quick drink. It was my first time visiting this place, and it had a kind of old-fashioned Western-style eatery vibe. However, once I stepped inside, it felt more like an izakaya! Quite a surprising contrast, but I quickly chose something that would be served fast. I ordered a plate of pickles and a draft beer. I thought it was a pretty cool combination, hehe. It's definitely the kind of food a drinker would choose. The beer arrived in about 3 minutes, and I took a sip. Then, after about 2 more minutes, the plate of pickles arrived! It had Chinese cabbage, daikon radish, pickled radish, pickled turnip, red turnip, and more. The plate was loaded with vegetables. And to my delight, there were two small pickled plums on the side. That made me really happy. I enjoyed munching on the pickles while sipping my beer. It was so refreshing! As I kept repeating this, I got a message from my partner saying they had arrived, so I quickly finished up. It was a nice place for a quick stop. I might sneak in for another drink next time, haha. Thanks for the meal! #HonjoAzumabashiGourmet #OshiageGourmet #TokyoGourmet #Nagomitei #SumidaWardGourmet #WantToConnectWithFoodies

This is a review of the izakaya "Shitamachi no Odaidokoro Izakaya Nagomitei" located in Sumida-ku, Tokyo, at 3-chome Azumabashi. The nearest station is Honjo-azumabashi Station on the Toei Asakusa Line. I visited "Shitamachi no Odaidokoro Izakaya Nagomitei" during dinner time. When I opened the door and entered the restaurant, there were a few groups of customers already seated towards the back. I mentioned that I was dining alone and was escorted to a counter seat, but since I had luggage, I was offered a table seat near the entrance, which I accepted. I ordered Oolong tea, Chicken Skin with Green Onion Ponzu Sauce for 498 yen (tax included), Assorted Sashimi for 998 yen (tax included), and Omurice Yakisoba - a hearty portion - for 998 yen (tax included). While waiting for the dishes to arrive, I was informed that by becoming LINE friends, I would receive Fried Potato with Salt and Pepper as a service, so I registered as a LINE friend. The Chicken Skin with Green Onion Ponzu Sauce was decent in taste, but considering the price, it felt a bit expensive. The Assorted Sashimi included tuna, octopus, squid, salmon, mackerel, and spicy cod roe, and I was surprised to find spicy cod roe in the sashimi assortment. The taste was average. The Omurice Yakisoba - a hearty portion - was indeed generous in portion size, with slightly thicker noodles than expected. The taste was better than expected, and I felt that it was worth ordering. The Fried Potato with Salt and Pepper as a service for LINE friends was also decent in taste. Overall, the restaurant gave a slightly pricey impression, but if you choose your dishes wisely, it is possible to have a reasonable meal. Honestly, if I had ordered the Omurice Yakisoba - a hearty portion - first, it might have been enough to fill me up.

Honjo Azumabashi Station, Nostalgic Teahouse - Drink or be drunk - Today's drinking exploration took me to Honjo Azumabashi Station in search of food and quenching my thirst. Let's enter the restaurant. 1. Fresh Banana Milk Highball (extra strong) 2. Octopus and Mushroom Ajillo Review: Fresh Banana Milk Highball (extra strong) - I ordered it extra strong and was surprised to be served with two glasses. Honestly, it was amazing! The shochu's strength was so prominent that the banana flavor couldn't stand out. It was reminiscent of Hoppy with its added intensity. Truly fitting for a traditional kitchen in the downtown area. Octopus and Mushroom Ajillo - Is this octopus or firefly squid? The sizzling sound of olive oil on the hot plate was delightful. The accompanying baguette was a nice touch. Despite a slight bitterness, it harmonized well with the sweetness of the alcohol. It felt like enjoying chocolate with whiskey. There were many other intriguing menu items, but I decided to save them for my next visit. Thank you for the feast - grateful for the encounter with this restaurant.

This is an izakaya located right by Honjo-azumabashi Station on the Toei Asakusa Line. They have a great variety of menu items and a wonderful selection of drinks. I've been there several times and have never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. In September, the grilled saury and liver were especially delicious. The staff are efficient, cheerful, and really lift your spirits!

This is an izakaya located near Honjo Azumabashi with a Tabelog score of 3.23. It is one of the few places in the area that stays open late, which is much appreciated. I visited as a second stop for drinks in the area. It's a unique spot with a touch panel ordering system, and the menu is extensive and fun to browse through. The prices are reasonable and they offer a good variety of fried and rice dishes, making it a great choice for salarymen. It's a perfect spot for a night out with the guys.

After a drinking party, we decided to visit this place for a second round (^-^)/ It was open until around 2:00 am, so it was still lively even after the last train. The interior of the restaurant was spacious, with a room in the back that could accommodate a large group of people. It had a traditional feel, but all orders were placed using a touch panel, which was convenient and modern. The menu had a wide variety of dishes, from appetizers to desserts, and everything was reasonably priced. The food was delicious and we enjoyed it a lot. We each had three drinks and the total bill was just under 10,000 yen. I think they also had a happy hour until 7:00 pm. If I have the chance, I would definitely go back again. Thank you for the delicious meal! :)

At the next stop. I had some time so I explored a bit and ended up here. It was still early and the place was not crowded yet. I started with a Senbero set, paid in cash. Cold tofu, cucumber with plum, and black houtou noodles. Ice came later. The interior along the counter looked like a bed of eels. After finishing the Senbero, I ordered a highball. The monjayaki was delicious as a snack! The alcohol hit just right, so I finished up and headed to my main destination. This place has good value for money. Thank you for the meal!

After a long time, the sun was hot on the way home, and I really wanted to drink beer. I ended up going into a izakaya near the station. I ordered the Senbero course which includes 2 drinks and a snack. I chose edamame as the snack and added an extra dish of liver cutlet for 200 yen. I also added fried tofu with cod roe and cheese for 200 yen to check the recipe. The liver cutlet was not what I expected, more like bite-sized fried pieces. The fried tofu with cod roe and cheese was made by sprinkling cod roe on top of tofu, adding cheese, and baking it in a skillet. Maybe I can make this at home too. The total bill was 1512 yen including tax. Thank you for the meal.

I was walking in Asakusa with an acquaintance and we decided to check out this place that caught our eye! It was around 1 am, and I was surprised to find a bar open until morning in such a place, so I couldn't resist going in! It had a traditional feel to it, but the ordering system was unexpectedly touch-panel! The staff were nearby so we mostly ordered directly from them, but there were also levers and such. It was a cheap and delicious izakaya! Thank you for the meal!

This is one of the few izakayas around here that stays open until late at night. I finally decided to visit for the first time. Even though it was late, there weren't many customers. There were a few people dining alone and it seemed like there were many regulars. The izakaya offers cheap food and drinks, which explains why it's popular even late at night. As for the taste, it's a balance with the price. However, there are many dishes to choose from which makes it enjoyable. In the winter, they also serve hot pots with a variety of options available.

I arrived in the Sumida/Asakusa area around 11pm and decided to take a stroll. I found a place where I could still grab a drink, so I started with a glass of draft beer. I also ordered the grilled liver, which seemed like a recommended dish. The liver was delicious without any unpleasant taste. Feeling good, I ordered another draft beer! To balance out the meat, I decided to try the vegetable tempura platter next. Since I was still up for more, I also ordered the garlic sautéed clams and mushrooms. As a final touch, I went for something different and ordered the "cat food bowl" rice dish. It was surprisingly tasty and made for a great ending to the meal. This place is convenient for late-night dining and has a good variety of dishes.

The restaurant is located just up the stairs from the Toei Honjo-Azumabashi Station. Inside, there are tables and a counter, as well as a large TV to keep you entertained. I ordered a Hoppy set with white, Toro Hormone stir-fry, and potato salad. The potato salad was homemade, with a fluffy texture and a good amount of saltiness. The Toro Hormone stir-fry was tender and had a nice chewy texture, with a gentle seasoning. I also ordered an additional dish of spicy miso stir-fry with eggplant and minced meat. It was hot and the spiciness of the chili oil was just right. With this, I headed back home.

In December 2007, a shop appeared in front of Honjo-azumabashi Station with all items priced at 300 yen in red letters. It caught my attention as I was exploring cheap shops. Since then, I have visited many times. The shop is located right in front of exit A2 of Toei Asakusa Line's Honjo-azumabashi Station, making it very convenient. The shop's features include: - All items are 300 yen (excluding some menu items). Almost all dishes and drinks are provided for 300 yen, and with a wide variety of menu options, it's hard to choose what to order. However, mini-bowl menu items are priced at 450 yen, but it doesn't give the impression of being too expensive. (Of course, there are plenty of set menu options as well.) - Payment is made as each item is served. It may be a bit inconvenient, but it's better than paying all at once later. It's rare for an izakaya to adopt a pay-as-you-go system in Tokyo. - Easy access as it is located in front of the station. The shop is right in front of exit A2, so you can enter without getting wet even on rainy days. Moreover, it is open until close to the first train, so you can stay for a long time. (Don't forget to order occasionally.) - As for the taste... There are 12 types of mini-bowls priced at 450 yen each. I have included details in the photos, but the menu content and prices have not changed since the opening. My personal recommendation is the Nagomi-style Loco Moco Bowl ★★★★4. - Drinks are also priced at 300 yen. It's quite a lot for 300 yen. If I had to say something, I wish the sour drinks were a bit stronger (a bit of a luxurious request, haha). - Limited-time items are posted in front of the store at certain times. I tried the Jigoku Ramen (300 yen tax included) once, but it didn't seem that spicy. It might be a bit unsatisfying for those who like spicy food... The soup is lightly salted, and the noodles are slightly thin curly noodles. There are many other menu items that catch my interest, and I am surprised by the variety of the menu. I plan to revisit at the right time. Overall evaluation: Taste - I think taste evaluation may vary, but I really like the homey seasoning. I am satisfied enough personally, so I give it a rating of ★★★3. Service - The service is very good due to the homely atmosphere. It's worth noting that they offer all-you-can-drink options and can be reserved for private parties (only on Sundays). I give it a rating of ★★★★4. Atmosphere - There are about 40 seats. It seems they have changed the layout of the store a bit. There used to be a tatami room, but it feels a bit cramped now. Cost performance - The quality and quantity are clearly outstanding. Can they go even cheaper? Of course, the rating is ★★★★☆4.5. Alcohol and drinks - It's an izakaya, so it's natural to have a wide variety. But of course... I give it a rating of ★★★★4. Overall evaluation - There were many points that could only be understood by revisiting regularly, so the overall evaluation is ★★★☆3.5.

I had always been curious about this place, but it seemed like a daunting place for first-time visitors. Drinks were priced at 300 yen and up, while appetizers ranged from 200 yen for the daily specials. I ordered the grilled pork guts with vinegar miso and a highball. The freshness of the guts was impressive, likely due to their connection with a butcher. They also offered a "manly size" drink, which was three times the normal size for 850 yen. Most customers seemed to enjoy a light drink before heading home. There were some who stayed until the last train, but they were mostly just chatting. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a casual drink, I would definitely recommend this place.

When you purchase a 1,000 yen ticket, you get 1,050 yen worth of value. Most dishes and drinks are priced at 300 yen. The place is open until 5 am, making it perfect for ending a drinking party or waiting for the first train. The restaurant is run by a very friendly couple. Compared to recent 280 yen izakayas, the portion sizes are decent and the beer comes in a proper size glass, not a tiny one. It's a place where you can get your money's worth with the 300 yen flat rate or even more. Before you know it, you'll have used up all your tickets. The soy sauce ramen is a standard but surprisingly good option for 300 yen. I recommend the fried dishes, grilled fish, or a rice bowl if you're really hungry - you'll be quite satisfied.
