This is a review of the izakaya "Shitamachi no Odaidokoro Izakaya Nagomitei" located in Sumida-ku, Tokyo, at 3-chome Azumabashi. The nearest station is Honjo-azumabashi Station on the Toei Asakusa Line. I visited "Shitamachi no Odaidokoro Izakaya Nagomitei" during dinner time. When I opened the door and entered the restaurant, there were a few groups of customers already seated towards the back. I mentioned that I was dining alone and was escorted to a counter seat, but since I had luggage, I was offered a table seat near the entrance, which I accepted. I ordered Oolong tea, Chicken Skin with Green Onion Ponzu Sauce for 498 yen (tax included), Assorted Sashimi for 998 yen (tax included), and Omurice Yakisoba - a hearty portion - for 998 yen (tax included). While waiting for the dishes to arrive, I was informed that by becoming LINE friends, I would receive Fried Potato with Salt and Pepper as a service, so I registered as a LINE friend. The Chicken Skin with Green Onion Ponzu Sauce was decent in taste, but considering the price, it felt a bit expensive. The Assorted Sashimi included tuna, octopus, squid, salmon, mackerel, and spicy cod roe, and I was surprised to find spicy cod roe in the sashimi assortment. The taste was average. The Omurice Yakisoba - a hearty portion - was indeed generous in portion size, with slightly thicker noodles than expected. The taste was better than expected, and I felt that it was worth ordering. The Fried Potato with Salt and Pepper as a service for LINE friends was also decent in taste. Overall, the restaurant gave a slightly pricey impression, but if you choose your dishes wisely, it is possible to have a reasonable meal. Honestly, if I had ordered the Omurice Yakisoba - a hearty portion - first, it might have been enough to fill me up.
