I had rusk for the first time in a long time since visiting a rusk specialty shop that looked like a castle in Gunma. Rusk seems to be available in many different shops these days, but this "Tokyo Rusk" was quite to my liking. The buttery aroma, the perfect amount of granulated sugar, and the easy-to-eat thickness with a crispy texture were delicious! The taste is not overwhelming, so I couldn't stop eating once I started. The pink lettering is cute too!

My husband has a slight fever. He might take a day off tomorrow and go to the hospital. I was looking forward to watching YOSHIKI's TV show tomorrow, but oh well. I hope he gets better soon. I've set up a bed in the living room for him. Speaking of which, I had a draft review that I never got around to posting. It was about seasonal limited edition snacks. I always think I should give them at the right time, but sometimes I end up forgetting about them or just keeping the photos without posting. This time it's the latter (laughs). My mother-in-law loves rusk because it lasts long and is a traditional offering to the Buddha. We have a lot of rusk as snacks. She always tells us not to drop sugar or bread crumbs because ants will come. But we end up dropping them because we get distracted. I want to say to her, "It's your son and grandson after all," but I just say, "We have chickens at home because we drop crumbs too. They just need to pick them up and they become broilers." We didn't really taste the cherry blossom flavor, but it would have been even better if we hadn't dropped the rusk.

I received a souvenir from Tokyo, which is the Tokyo Rusk from "Tokyo Rusk". The establishment of Tokyo Rusk was in 2002, created by the company "Granva". They are known for their crispy texture and the buttery flavor that spreads in your mouth. With a mission to "fill the hearts of their customers", they strive to make carefully crafted sweets using selected ingredients. Tokyo Rusk has stores not only in Tokyo, but also in Chiba, Shizuoka, Hokkaido, Fukuoka, and more. They offer a variety of flavors such as sugar, maple, garlic, Earl Grey + juicy orange, and more. The one I received was the basic sugar flavor, a simple and delicious rusk. It truly lives up to being a classic product from Tokyo Rusk. Thank you for the meal.

I received this as a souvenir. It has a stylish package. I took photos of both the wrapping paper and the unwrapped package. I forgot to take a picture of the actual rusk. It was a good-tasting rusk, with a moderate size and mild sweetness. Thank you for the meal.

I bought some souvenirs at Tokyo Station that were very popular, so I decided to visit the main store as well! It's a 3.4-minute walk from Hongo-Sanchome Station. It's located a little off the main street in a calm area. I bought my favorite almond, sugar, and maple assorted rusk for the first time. I wonder if this is a limited item at the main store... The set of three was 1,080 yen, which was quite a good deal. They may have irregular shapes or be broken, but it didn't matter at all since they were for home consumption! In fact, the crunchy texture made them even more delicious. I don't often have the chance to go to Hongo-Sanchome, but I would like to visit this store and others again in the future.

I received a wedding gift of garlic condiment and it was incredibly garlicky. It's so strong that it can't be eaten without alcohol. It goes really well with wine, though. I wonder if they sell it in Osaka. I looked it up and it seems they don't sell it there. I really like this kind of flavor.

I like Tokyo Rusk's Sugar Butter flavor, and I prefer the bread to be soft. I enjoy simple Butter Sugar flavor. They also have chocolate coating, which comes out in winter. This time, it was Raspberry Chocolate coating. The chocolate coating is quite thick and delicious, and the rusk is fragrant and tasty.

On the second day of my food adventure in Tokyo in November, after enjoying an amazing performance of shaved ice at Café Lumiere in Kichijoji, I headed towards Ochanomizu to visit the next shaved ice shop. On the way, I came across Tokyo Rusk, so I decided to stop by and pick up some souvenirs. Inside the shop, there were various types of rusks, including some with interesting flavors. I ended up purchasing the "Peace Tokyo MIX," which are bite-sized rusks with a light texture. They were soaked in smooth chocolate, and when you bite into them, a rich chocolate flavor spreads in your mouth. The strawberry flavor was also delicious, with the sweet and sour taste of strawberries perfectly complementing the white chocolate. This souvenir turned out to be a great find.

Recently, Tokyo Rusk has become more visible in various places, even inside department stores. The main store is located in Hongo-Sanchome. So, I went to visit the Tokyo Rusk Hongo main store! It was around 5 PM, getting dark around and there were no other shops around. Walking in the rain, feeling cold, I saw a bright light. A lovely shop caught my eye. I wondered if it had always been there, but it turns out they have been operating here for over 10 years. The special feature of their sugar rusk is its crispy and light texture. It's not overly sweet or heavy. The aroma is good, elegant, and light. It depends on personal preference, but I like it even compared to other shops. There are various flavors available, and although I like matcha, this time I selected cinnamon. I also love cinnamon as a flavor. The rich aroma of cinnamon and the rusk that can be eaten lightly and crisply. One bag disappears in no time. This is recommended for those who are not good with sweet things or can't eat too much sweetness. It's not overpoweringly sweet, so it can be enjoyed casually with tea. It would be appreciated as a treat or souvenir. Isn't the eye-catching packaging a unique charm that other shops don't have? The customer service is also polite and warm. I was healed. Thank you for the hospitality as always! Thank you for everything.

After eating at "Ganoya" in Hongo Sancho-me, I discovered a rusk specialty store called "Tokyo Rusk" right next to the parking lot where I parked my car. Rusk is actually one of my favorite snacks. Maybe the reason I like both ramen and rusk is because they both start with "ra"? Not such a simple reason, but as a kid, I used to alternate between eating Ramune candy and rusk at the candy store. I wonder if Ramune candy is still sold somewhere! It used to cost 5 yen back then. It must be fate to enjoy ramen and rusk at the same time. Let's go inside the store now. The location of the store is about 100 meters east of the Hongo 2-chome intersection on Hongo Street, towards the University of Tokyo. The products available include: ■ Regular items - Sugar rusk - Maple rusk - Earl Grey orange peel rusk - Garlic rusk ■ Seasonal limited items - Chocolate rusk - Sakura rusk There are also other items such as round rusk, croissant rusk, Japanese-style rusk, and assorted sets, making the variety of products abundant. The rusk displayed neatly in the store makes it hard to choose which one to buy. I'll definitely get the classic sugar rusk, but the Earl Grey with tea sounds delicious. These rusks are baked to be crispy and easy to eat. They are moderately sweet, easy to enjoy, and have a rich buttery aroma. While the sugar rusk has a buttery flavor, the Earl Grey has a tea aroma that almost makes you feel like you're tasting the rusk with tea (laughs). When it comes to rusks, "Harada" in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture, is famous, but compared to Harada, Tokyo Rusk has a lighter taste. Harada's rusks have a slightly stronger buttery flavor. Both are delicious though. Tokyo Rusk stands out for its wide variety of rusk options compared to Harada. It would be a great gift to give a variety pack, as they are individually packaged. It would also be great to share at a party with a large group of people. By the way, there was a famous gourmet burger restaurant nearby, so maybe next time, I'll have a burger first and then come here for a palate cleanser (laughs). Thank you for the meal.

Located south from the 5th exit of Hongo-sanchome Station on the Toei Oedo Line, this shop opened in 2004 as a branch of a rusk specialty store. It is a rare street-level store for this company, which mainly operates in department stores and train stations in the Tokyo area. The glass-fronted store on the ground floor features a variety of products in a white-themed interior. In addition to regular items, they offer various options such as round rusk, croissant rusk, and Japanese-style rusk. The classic "sugar rusk" has a crispy texture and just the right amount of sweetness. The "garlic rusk" is a versatile snack that can be enjoyed as a treat or with drinks. It is light, convenient, and suitable for anyone, making it a great gift option.

Recently, Tokyo Rusk has been popping up in various places. Today, I'd like to introduce the Sugar Rusk and Maple Rusk that I tried at the Tokyo Rusk Hongo store in the Hongo area where I occasionally visit. The Sugar Rusk has a light and crispy texture that is not too heavy, with a rich buttery flavor and an elegant sweetness. In comparison to Gâteau Festa Harada's rusk, which emphasizes a rich flavor, Tokyo Rusk's Sugar Rusk offers a lighter and more delicate taste. It's all a matter of personal preference as both are delicious. The Maple Rusk, on the other hand, has a milder sweetness compared to the Sugar Rusk, making it a delicious treat. Personally, I prefer the Sugar Rusk, but the gentle sweetness of the Maple Rusk is also recommended for those who enjoy it. It was well received by the sweet-toothed ladies in my family. As for a drinking man like myself, I am intrigued by the Garlic Rusk and Cheese Pepper Rusk options. I look forward to trying some snack rusk for me next time. Items received: Sugar Rusk (5 bags, 10 pieces per bag, 420 yen) Quebec Maple Rusk (5 bags, 10 pieces per bag, 460 yen)

I arrived at Tokyo Rusk Hongo store in Hongo Sanchome for work. It took about 5 minutes to walk there. I bought one Sugar Rusk for 420 yen and one Honey Lemon Rusk for 420 yen. The Honey Lemon Rusk is a summer limited edition. I'm weak when it comes to limited edition items. I decided to take them home and taste them with my family. The honey rusk was a bit sour and had a peculiar taste, so I didn't really like it. The Sugar Rusk, on the other hand, is truly a signature item, not too sweet and very delicious. I could eat a lot of bags of it. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I'll buy a cup and give it as a souvenir to the little league baseball players.

Tokyo Rusk is very famous. I have actually never bought anything from this shop myself... This time, a friend gave me a chocolate-covered rusk from Tokyo Rusk! It's called Chocolusk. There was no chocolate on the back, but the rusk itself had a chocolate flavor that was light and delicious. I have tried Gâteau Festa Harada's Premium before, and that one had a lot of chocolate and felt quite heavy, but this one is surprisingly light. With Harada's, one piece feels like "I just had chocolate!", but with this one, you can easily have 2-3 pieces and enjoy the crispy texture. It was delicious.

I don't know where the information came from, but the president of the company where my husband has worked for many years, the natural specialty president, "Minoru," asked one day, "What was that thing your wife made?" "Oh, that thin bread, right?" "No...? Was it thin? I think it was thin..." "Which one is it?!" And he started getting angry at himself, throwing a mysterious question at his husband. A few days later, when my husband returned home, he had a paper bag from a clothing store and wrapping paper from his favorite Tokyo rusk in his hand. "Oh! Did you bring me a souvenir?" I quickly snatched it away. "Minoru went all the way to Hongou to buy it for you, saying he wanted you to try it," he said. I thought it might cause a fight if it was just for me, so (how about a mother who fights over sweets?!) Minoru is a mystery as to what kind of person he thinks he is... He even gave cookies to his son. Certainly, I have criticized him for working too hard! Even though he doesn't take paid leave and works without being rewarded, how can he not be rewarded?! Is it a fight to say you're going on an overseas business trip during a holiday?! Despite being angry and hanging up the phone several times... Minoru is always kind to me. (It's typical of our family to call the president by his first name) Sorry for always getting angry... The rusk was really delicious. I couldn't prepare New Year's dishes and other things this year because I was so busy, but as long as you are healthy, don't overdo it and leave it to your subordinates. Take a leisurely trip once in a while. The rusk was so delicious♪ Thank you so much. I don't really like sweet things, but when I received this rusk as a year-end gift, I was amazed at how delicious it was. When I looked up the store, I found out that the main store is very close to Asakusa where I live, so I quickly went there. Even though it's called the main store, it's very small and easy to miss. At the main store, you can sample "koware" and cupcake-like items that are not available in department stores, etc. My favorite is the sugar flavor. It's a bit expensive considering it's a sweet treat, but when you eat it, the elegant sweetness and rich butter aroma spread out and it's the best. There are not only sweet flavors but also garlic, so if you spread cream cheese and sandwich it with prosciutto, it becomes a little hors d'oeuvre. You can also garnish with capers and olives for a colorful touch♪ I can't drink wine, but I'm sure it would be the perfect appetizer for those who can. In our house, we always have the Darjeeling flavor because my son likes it.

I'm sorry (^-^; I left the draft from early June unattended. When I went to Gardens, I found a rusk specialty store that I wasn't familiar with. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a temporary stall. (Oh, Tokyo Rusk. I wonder if it's famous?) ...I thought to myself (They must be popular if they came all the way to Nishinomiya to set up a stall). The three types of rusk I bought were: Quebec Maple, Garlic, and the summer limited edition Honey Lemon. I think each was probably 420 yen. These rusks have a crispy texture. They start off a bit hard to chew, but become a bit crumbly towards the inside. I like the crunchy texture as well as the light and crispy ones. I wish the maple scent in the Quebec Maple rusk was a bit more pronounced. It felt a bit weak. The Garlic rusk was just delicious. I really liked the Honey Lemon one. It's rare to find lemon-flavored rusk. I decided to buy it because I found it. It has a subtle sweetness from honey and a clear acidity from lemon. It's a refreshing rusk. Unfortunately, it said it's a summer limited edition. It's still hot, so I wonder if they're still selling it? I can't buy it in Nishinomiya anymore (^-^; I'll buy it again if they come to another event. (^0^) =========== Oops! I was supposed to upload about CoCoIchi at the 551st restaurant, but I made a mistake~~ (ToT)

When it comes to rusks, Gâteau Festa Harada is famous, but this one is also recommended. Tokyo Rusk has a crispy texture yet somehow fluffy, which is charming. It's great for a snack, and it could even be a substitute for a busy morning breakfast (although it doesn't fill you up that much). It's fun to try different flavors too. I received it as a souvenir from a friend before and was impressed by its deliciousness. I started buying it myself and was even more thrilled by its affordability. It may be a bit bulky, but it's light and makes a nice little gift that people will appreciate.

I have bought this product several times myself. This time, I received it as a souvenir. It contained five bags each of three flavors: maple, black sesame, and sugar, all in a cute box. My favorite is the maple flavor. The combination of maple flavor and crispy rusk is irresistible. I can eat as much as I want. Each bag contains two pieces, which makes it easy to eat. I'm not a big fan of black sesame, but I can eat it in rusk form. According to the product description inside, there are also flavors like maple, sugar, black sesame red tea, and garlic, but I remember there being more variety. They occasionally have a store in the department store basement in Fukuoka, so I want to buy it there.
