During middle school, I was in the basketball club. I was good at cheering for everyone from the bench during games, and I always thought about how to warm the bench effectively. Some acquaintances who quit the club would say things like "Why are you still doing it if you can't play in the games? Isn't it embarrassing?" But I continued for 3 years in the end. I never felt embarrassed about not being able to play, but when I returned from a long stay in America and was handed my uniform, I did feel a bit embarrassed. Everyone else received their uniform handed to them, while mine was left in a locker with a rag used to clean up spilled milk from lunch. It didn't feel very welcoming. Today's lunch is at Hoan Yon, a place of welcome. I visited a client in Kamata and decided to have lunch with my colleague. The great thing about this place is that every lunch set comes with gyoza. I had the green pepper beef rice bowl, while my colleague had the beef tendon bowl and mapo tofu bowl. The gyoza takes a bit longer to cook, so our meals arrived first. We got soup, pickles, and tofu as a nice service. I started with the green pepper beef rice bowl. The slightly sweet and flavorful taste is probably from the oyster sauce. The bitterness of the green pepper adds a nice touch to the deliciousness of the meat. The winged gyoza is filled with plenty of juicy meat that overflows in your mouth as you bite into it. The combination of the chewy skin, crispy wings, and vegetable-filled inside is amazing. We also ordered the fried eggplant gyoza, which came with a special sauce that complemented the dish perfectly. The gyoza wrapped in eggplant has a unique texture. The crispy coating and soft eggplant texture create a delightful experience. Even though the lunch set was already quite filling, with the additional orders, we all ended up feeling quite stuffed. I've only been to the main branch before, but the one at the west exit is also nice. I'd like to come back at night next time and try more dishes, but maybe I'm not really welcomed because I end up getting so full for a cheap price.

★Gyoza Top 100 Restaurant Set Meal★I visited for lunch on a weekday. It was quite crowded, with customers coming in non-stop, and the first floor with about 12 seats was always full. I had heard that the main store's fried rice was delicious, but on this day it was a bit greasy, with a strong scent of star anise or other spices that I didn't prefer. The gyoza was also more greasy compared to gyoza from other stores. However, for the price of 770 yen, there was a sense of value in the set meal.

I was teleworking at a hotel but felt stuck, so I headed out to the area near Kamata Station West Exit a little after 7 pm. With a typhoon approaching and the weather getting cooler, I started craving something warm... so I came here. First, I toasted to myself with a glass of draft beer. I started with stir-fried water spinach. It had mushrooms, bamboo shoots, garlic, and chili peppers, with a good crunch and not too strong seasoning. Then, the shrimp and chive dumplings arrived. I picked up each large dumpling with chopsticks, dipped it in vinegar soy sauce, and took a bite! They were so delicious, I couldn't stop eating. The total came to 2440 yen. I returned to my hotel room and continued teleworking. I tried to change my mood, but I still couldn't get out of my rut. What if I took a break at an adult shop to change my mood? Leave me alone!

I visited the restaurant on a weekend evening. I didn't have to wait and was seated right away, but the place was about 80% full, showing that it's a popular spot. We decided to order one gyoza per person because who doesn't want to eat a lot of gyoza, right? We also ordered crab fried rice and fried chicken. The fried rice arrived quickly, and it was delicious with a nice salty flavor and plenty of crab. Soon after, the gyoza arrived. The filling was juicy and the skin was crispy. It was so satisfying! However, I got really full, so I had to think twice before deciding if I could eat another gyoza. The fried chicken had a crispy and thick coating, which was really tasty. All of this for less than 3,000 yen was a great deal. If there was a local Chinese restaurant like this nearby, it would be amazing. It was my first time in Kamata, and I thought it was a nice town. Dinner around 7:00 pm, ordered: fried dumplings, drool chicken, stir-fried squid and vegetables, stir-fried water spinach, stir-fried pork and egg, lettuce fried rice! Some alcohol, for 2 people. The purpose of having dinner together is to deepen friendship with a new graduate older brother. Eating with young people is a good stimulus. It has been a long time since I last visited the Yamamoto-san in Kamata. This welcome Nishiguchi store is very nostalgic. It's been a few years since I came to eat dumplings. It took quite a long time. The new graduate older brother is still in his eating prime. - Fried dumplings: The skin and filling are excellent. I could eat 10 of them. - Drool chicken: It's a bit different from others. It has a strong clove flavor. Not spicy, but delicious. - Stir-fried squid and vegetables: The squid is amazing. Stir-fried squid from a real Chinese restaurant is very delicious. - Stir-fried water spinach: Crispy and delicious. - Lettuce fried rice: Delicious. I will come back because it's delicious.

At the Chinese restaurant, I ordered the boiled beef dish. I was expecting spicy beef and bean sprouts cooked in spicy oil, but this dish had various vegetables instead of bean sprouts. The waiter who brought it to me said, "It's delicious. Eat it quickly." with a smile. As someone who loves spicy food, I could have handled it a bit spicier, but it had a good kick to it and was tasty. I had a small bottle of Kirin Ichiban beer with it.

Midday of the consecutive holidays? I arrived around 17:20 ✨ The signature menu dumplings were already amazing (≧∀≦) I forgot to take a picture of the boiled dumplings, but they were chewy and delicious!! The other shrimp dumplings and shrimp or something boiled dumplings? and big dumplings? had the same filling inside??? If they had told me when ordering... The flavors were too similar and I got tired of it, which was disappointing. If they had told me, I would have tried something else.

The dumplings were incredibly delicious. They were crispy on the outside, piping hot, and filled with plenty of juicy meat and soup. They were so delicious yet only cost 400 yen for a serving of 6. I was surprised by the affordability. The shrimp mayo was also delicious for its price. I was satisfied.

I visited this place for the third time. I tried their highly recommended dumplings, which were big and satisfying to eat, with juicy meat overflowing. They were very delicious. I also had shrimp mayo and fried rice, which were also very good.

I happened to stop by this station and my child was hungry, so we quickly entered a famous dumpling restaurant nearby. This shop is located right next to JR Kamata Station and is served by Chinese staff. First to arrive was the pork and egg stir-fry. It was larger than I expected and had a sweet seasoning that brought out the meat's fat. The meat, along with cucumber and carrots thinly sliced for a crunchy texture, was delicious. It also had crunchy wood ear mushrooms and fluffy eggs. Next was the must-order winged gyoza when visiting this shop. The crispy thin wings were coated with rich fat and had a sweet taste. When you bite into the thick skin, hot meat juice bursts out. The filling was soft and melty. The shrimp steamed gyoza takes a bit longer to prepare. The steamed gyoza was hot inside the steamer, with a chewy skin that stood out. It was filled with a piece of shrimp, chives, pork, and a rich filling.

I visited here in front of Kamata Station on a Sunday afternoon. I had some gyoza and beer for a daytime drink lol. The interior of the restaurant is smaller than I expected, with seating on the second floor as well. Luckily, I was guided to a table on the first floor as a customer was leaving. I noticed that many other customers were ordering set menus, but as someone over sixty, I thought the portions might be too much for me, so I ordered gyoza and draft beer separately. Glancing at those enjoying the set menus, it seemed like the gyoza portion was slightly smaller. The gyoza had a crispy skin and was juicy and piping hot, almost burning my mouth. I was surprised when the bill came to only 930 yen. I enjoyed my meal, thank you.

Around 1:00 PM on Saturday, I passed by this place while thinking about where to end my gyoza highball tour. It looked empty from the outside, so I decided to give it a try. The staff welcomed me warmly, and I noticed that a few tables were occupied. It was my first time at this restaurant. The first floor was about 80% full. I ordered a highball with a side of gyoza with wings for 550 yen. Although slightly more expensive than gyoza places in Kamata, I was happy to see that the brand of whiskey was clearly specified. The highball was generously poured, which made me happy as well. I enjoyed the delicious gyoza and was impressed by the quality, which was on par with gyoza places in Kamata. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit one of your affiliated restaurants again. ^ ^

Visited for the first time around 8:30 PM on Saturday. The restaurant was packed with customers and bustling. Besides the grilled and boiled dumplings, we also ordered fried rice and ramen. Kamata Gyoza! Visited right after opening on a holiday. The first floor filled up quickly, but there seems to be a second floor as well. The dumplings were incredibly juicy. When you bite into them, hot meat juice comes out vigorously, so be careful! The skin is thick, and each dumpling is impactful. They are round and cute in shape! Visited all the top three restaurants, but this one left the biggest impression.

Met up with a friend in Kamata after work and had some dumplings. We arrived around 6pm and by the time it was past 6pm, the first floor was already full. There is also a second floor. The taste was consistently delicious. We ordered fried dumplings, boiled dumplings, 3 side dishes, fried rice, and around 3 drinks per person, totaling around 6500 yen for two people. We dropped by spontaneously and left satisfied.

Visited the store before 12:00 on Friday, June 9, 2023. The store is located in a narrow entrance of a shopping street. Is the kitchen on the second floor? There were 2-3 customers before me. The lunch menu is priced at 770 yen. I ordered the mixed fried rice and dumplings lunch set. First, the mixed fried rice was served. It was a bit too salty. The soup, on the other hand, was too bland. The dumplings had wings attached, but the inside was juicy like a xiaolongbao. The dumplings were flavorful, so it was best to eat them with a spoon. Served with pickles and vegetables. The seating area was a bit cramped.

This is the Nishiguchi branch of Kangei located at Kamata Station West Exit. The main branch is also in Kamata. This restaurant is famous for its gyoza. The gyoza with plenty of juicy meat is very delicious. The Taiwan ramen is not very spicy, so I think anyone can enjoy it. Considering recent inflation, I think the price of 770 yen is very cost-effective for this taste and portion.

Chinese dishes are served quickly, which is really convenient when you're hungry. Personally, the gyoza with wings is incredibly delicious. The skin is thick and the juicy meat bursts in your mouth. It's piping hot, so be careful not to burn your mouth and watch out for the meat juice splattering! However, the other dishes didn't quite suit my taste... Sorry. The shrimp mayo is too sweet, the stir-fried greens have a strange flavor, and the shrimp and egg stir-fry has a crunchy texture that lingers in your mouth. The prices are reasonable, so it might be good to have a lunch rematch with gyoza with wings and fried rice or white rice!

I met up with my high school classmates after a long time and went out for food and drinks. I've been to the Kameido Honten and Tokyo branches of this restaurant many times, but this was my first time here. It's a small shop, but the delicious gyoza that I love was still as good as ever. I wish they had more menu options suited for drinkers like set menus for parties. It's tough to have a charge for each beer you order at a drinking party. But the gyoza, being a famous dish, was satisfyingly delicious. I forgot to take a picture of the gyoza, so I apologize for only having an exterior photo.

When it comes to Kamata, it's all about Chinese food. I visited this restaurant I found on Tabelog and arrived around 6:00 PM on a Sunday. The first floor had only 2 seats left and was almost full. The pan-fried dumplings had well-attached wings and were filled with pork, chives, and cabbage, giving a rich taste. The cabbage was crunchy, and the dumpling skin was crispy, with juicy meat inside. It's perfect to eat them with hot rice. On the other hand, the boiled dumplings had a chewy skin, providing a satisfying texture. I tried other dishes as well, but the dumplings alone were enough to make me happy at this restaurant.
