Kagurazaka Saryo main store used to be located near here, and I had been there 2-3 times before they moved, but this was my first visit to this location. The café was already very stylish and elegant, but this one is even more lovely. It has two floors, with a chic and calm Japanese modern atmosphere. The spacious layout makes it feel luxurious and elegant! On this day, I had an early dinner before going to a concert. It was perfect for a light dinner. They offer many dishes made with soy milk, which seem gentle on the body and stomach, and all of them are delicious. I had the Japanese pork and root vegetables in sesame soy milk soup set meal and the Saryo parfait (which comes with Japanese tea and you can choose your favorite from the menu. I chose the Benika from Kyoto). I also took pictures of my friend's order, which was also wonderful. I knew that Saryo had a great selection of tea, sweets, especially Japanese-style parfaits, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food menu as well. The gentle taste of the sesame soy milk, the abundance of root vegetables and domestic pork belly make the body happy! The multigrain rice has a nice texture and you can tell they are particular about the ingredients. The exquisite balance of this slightly light meal naturally makes you crave a parfait after eating (*´艸`). An adult parfait!? It's sweet but not too sweet (°_°) It's not heavy, maybe that's a better way to describe it? The matcha, red bean, and cream all come together harmoniously. Despite its size, I devoured it in no time. And in this location in Kagurazaka, in this space, with such a great atmosphere, having an early dinner meant almost no waiting. It's hard to believe you can have dinner at this price. It's a hidden gem not only as a tea house but also for meals. I think it was a good idea to look for a place that serves dinner throughout the day. Normally, there are long lines here on weekdays and weekends during the day. It's recommended to consider the timing when visiting! I definitely want to revisit too! Thank you for the wonderful meal~✨✨❣️

I visited Kagurazaka Charyo Honten in Kagurazaka on this day. I was exploring Tokyo with a friend from lunchtime, and we stopped by here to finish our day. We were seated on the second floor with two other groups. I ordered the domestic pork and root vegetable sesame soy milk soup set meal. Each of the small side dishes was delicious, and it was a very satisfying meal. My friend had the clam and seafood mentaiko cream udon set meal. We also had the Hekira and Japanese tea set. We were recommended the Tokufuka tea, which we enjoyed. The tea is served with a sand timer to measure one minute, which added a stylish touch to the experience. Next time, I would like to try the Hekira matcha set.

On my second visit with a colleague! The matcha Mont Blanc was bigger than I expected. The price was a bit high... but the taste was flawless ☺️ You can choose tea to go with each order, but we ended up just drinking tea. They offer a tea tasting, but we ended up too full from all the tea.

First visit after relocation. Visited during early evening on a weekday, with about 80% of seats occupied. Seasonal limited edition Matcha Cream Soda in Kagurazaka for 880 yen. Looks cute but mostly just ice. It was over in an instant. Didn't taste like the vanilla ice cream you can buy in stores. I must have ordered the wrong thing haha. Thank you for the meal.

I waited for about an hour during a weekend daytime visit. The wait outside the store was tough, but it was worth it as the store's atmosphere was pleasant. The anmitsu with fresh fu that I ordered was delicious with matcha ice cream and black honey. You can have plenty of tea, up to two cups.

On weekends around 5:30 PM, we arrived at the restaurant and waited for about 30 minutes as there were five groups ahead of us. We ordered the following: "Hekira" (Gyokuro and Matcha) for 2100 yen - a classic Mont Blanc dessert with matcha cream, sweet ice cream, and meringue inside. The tea had a strong flavor and aftertaste. "Japanese Chestnut and Matcha Mont Blanc Tart with Brown Rice Ice Cream" for 1300 yen - a dessert with a good balance of chestnut flavor and sweetness, matcha paste inside, a slightly sweet tart base, and brown rice ice cream. The tea had a delicate flavor with little bitterness but a strong richness and lingering finish. We would love to visit again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

It was extremely hot outside and everyone was lining up, but there were empty seats inside the restaurant. Even though I entered and waited in the waiting area, a staff member told me "Don't come in before being called next time." All the customers waiting could get heatstroke, you know? The udon was very delicious.

[Arrival Time] 11:00 [Entry Time] 11:30 (1st round of opening) [Crowded Situation] There is a line at opening time. [Impressions] I ordered the matcha and genmaicha milk shaved ice. This is a limited menu item only available at the main store, consisting of matcha shaved ice topped with shiratama (white balls), red beans, and matcha ice cream. You eat it while pouring genmaicha milk over it. While matcha and hojicha (roasted green tea) sauces are common at other shops, genmaicha milk is quite rare in my opinion. However, this genmaicha milk was incredibly delicious. The taste of genmaicha comes through directly, with a strong aroma and flavor. The combination of sweetness and a subtle milky taste enhances the flavor of genmaicha, making it exceptional. *There may be a line in front of the store, but the order of calling in is based on the names written on a paper at the entrance, so be sure to write your name when you arrive.

The restaurant has a stylish atmosphere and the lunch was delicious. I heard that the specialty dish I wanted is limited in quantity and you have to line up before opening to get it. It's a shame. It's tough to line up outside in the middle of summer, so I want to try it when it cools down.

Indulgent matcha Mont Blanc topped with shimmering gold foil. Also ordered shaved ice to beat the heat. Stuffed to the brim. A matcha lover's dream. Luxurious sweets filled with matcha goodness. Inside the Mont Blanc, there's matcha ice cream and cream, providing incredible satisfaction. Highly recommend the matcha Mont Blanc and matcha here.

A house cafe located in the alleyways of Kagurazaka. Established in 2003, it moved to a new renovated store in March 2022. The majority of customers are women and couples, and even on weekdays, it gets full before noon. The main feature is that the menu is centered around tea. The popular dessert is the matcha parfait. A specialty of the lunch menu is the "obanzai" set, which includes 12 dishes made with vegetables and tofu. The mentaiko white waterfall butter is addictive. You can have seconds of rice and miso soup. For an additional fee of about +300 yen, you can upgrade your drink to Japanese tea. You can choose from various teas sourced from longstanding tea shops in Shizuoka, Kagoshima, and Kyoto, such as sencha, gyokuro, hojicha, and black tea. A hot water pot for refills is provided, allowing you to enjoy up to three infusions. In the evening, there is a focus on alcoholic beverages as well. There are tea cocktails like "gyokuro gin and tonic," "green tea craft gin," and "Shizuoka sencha highball," which are designed to keep even those who love alcohol interested.

Kagurazaka Saryo Honten is a popular tea house known for its Japanese tea and traditional sweets, with their matcha Mont Blanc "Hekira" being particularly famous. I remember everyone eating Mont Blanc, but I opted for the lunch set instead! Their 12-dish obanzai lunch set for ¥1400 is full of vegetables and very satisfying. It's a lunch that's kind to your body. #KagurazakaSaryo #KagurazakaSaryoHonten #Saryo #ObanzaiLunch #BodyFriendly #Lunchtime #KagurazakaLunch #KagurazakaGourmet #GourmetGram #EnjoyYourMeal

On a Sunday afternoon, two people waited in line for about 30 minutes at the restaurant. They were surprised to see that the Mont Blanc, a signature dish, cost 2000 yen. They ended up ordering the Mont Blanc with matcha set and the sweet potato tart with tea set. In conclusion, the sweet potato tart and Japanese tea were delicious, while the Mont Blanc was just okay. The Japanese tea had a variety of options and you could ask for recommendations to pair with your dessert. The reviewer ordered the red fragrance tea and found it to be very delicious. If you go, be sure to try the Japanese tea.

Let's eat anmitsu with my colleague in Kagurazaka. Unfortunately, the restaurant we wanted to go to, Kinozen, was closed. We tried to find another place, but it was too hot so we ended up going to a cafe called Saryo, where we had sweets. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly. The cafe doesn't offer course meals, but we enjoyed our sweets with tea. It's a nice place to relax and the service was good.

I went to Kagurazaka with my colleague to eat anmitsu. Unfortunately, the restaurant we were looking for, Kinozen, was closed. We tried to find another place, but it was too hot so we ended up going to a cafe called Saryo that we had been to before. The cafe had moved to a different location, but the atmosphere was still nice and bright. We decided to skip the main course and just enjoy some sweets. The staff informed us that they don't offer course meals because it's a cafe. We savored our sweets slowly, and it was nice that every menu item came with tea. It was a pleasant experience with good customer service.

You can tell it's a popular restaurant by looking at the number of reviews on Tabelog ☺️ Enjoyed various cakes (with ice cream) and Japanese tea set ✨ Although this shop is known for its parfaits, I'm too full this time so I'll pass on that. The cakes and Japanese tea are delicious, making it a perfect place to relax‼️ With a Japanese atmosphere typical of Kagurazaka, this lovely cafe also exudes a modern vibe. Thank you for reading the review until the end ✨ I hope it can be a starting point for your delicious food search ☺️ Your likes and comments are greatly appreciated, as they motivate me. I will continue to strive to provide helpful reviews, so your support is greatly appreciated!!

Mont Blanc desserts like this used to have long lines, but now they can be found in chain stores and even as a dessert in restaurants, becoming a common choice. The thin, generously topped matcha cream is rich but not overly sweet. Inside, there may be ice cream, so it's not as sweet as it looks. It comes with matcha or gyokuro tea for 2000 yen, which is not cheap, but the calm atmosphere and relaxing vibe make it enjoyable even for adults.

- Order: Japanese tea set for 2,310 yen. There were over 10 types of tea to choose from, and this time I chose "Ki" from Shizuoka Prefecture.
- Matcha Mont Blanc: The bitterness of matcha and the sweetness of chestnut spread in the mouth, with a smooth texture. Inside were matcha ice cream, meringue cookies, chestnuts, and slightly acidic fruit jam.
- Tea: Thanks to the staff's kindness, I was able to enjoy both hot and iced tea. The change in taste due to temperature was interesting.
- Interior: The space with a Japanese theme was very stylish! Somehow, my back naturally straightened up more than usual. Laugh. I happened to sit at the counter seat in front of the Mont Blanc squeezing machine, so I had the live cooking all to myself.
- Saba's Soliloquy: Visited on a weekday after 7 pm. Lucky to enter with no waiting. (*It seems crowded on weekends) I ordered the Mont Blanc this time, but there were many other attractive sweets, so I want to go again. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

I was the first in line for dessert time after lunch on Friday afternoon! I was able to relax in a cool and comfortable atmosphere at the two available seats. The staff were friendly and the Mont Blanc dessert was delicious. It was a bit too big and I got a bit tired of it halfway through. I also bought financiers as souvenirs. It seemed like the lunch was popular at this place!

Hidden teahouse in Kagurazaka. The interior has a counter and table seats. It's not spacious, but the calming atmosphere creates a relaxing space. In addition to tea and sweets, they also offer side dishes and meals. I visited after 5 pm and enjoyed tea and sweets. Many customers were dining alone, some enjoying tea and sweets in the evening before having dinner. The soothing atmosphere encourages people to stay longer. Ordered the following for 2 people: - Warabimochi Mont Blanc with chestnut and matcha - Matcha parfait - Ho-o (roasted green tea) Mont Blanc has matcha layers under chestnut cream, with a refined taste that's not too sweet. The matcha parfait has layers of chocolate and ice cream, each offering a different texture and flavor. It looks beautiful too. Ho-o roasted green tea has a fragrant aroma and a light taste. It paired well with the sweets. Overall, it's a high-quality establishment with likely high repeat customers. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at the restaurant before 5:30 pm on a weekday. Since there were hardly any customers coming in for dinner yet, I was able to enter the restaurant without waiting. It is my favorite Japanese cafe in Kagurazaka. I was tempted by the delicious looking parfaits and Mont Blancs, but I had plans to have dinner at another restaurant, so I decided to just have a light dessert and tea. I chose a set with ice cream tasting and tea. The ice cream flavors were genmaicha, matcha, and shincha. They were all tea flavors, but you could really taste the difference when you compared them! I had a drink of shincha, a green tea from Kyoto's Oribe, as well. I sat at the counter, so I could see the staff skillfully making the parfaits up close, which was nice.
