In January 2022, after enjoying a luxurious parfait at "PATISSERIE ASAKO IWAYANAGI" in Todoroki, I headed towards Osanadai Station to buy bread at "VENT DE LUDO". The shop is owned by Ludovic Richard, a MOF-certified bread-making instructor who grew up in Brittany, affectionately known as Ludo. They offer products made with specialty ingredients from Brittany such as buckwheat flour, seafood, apples, and butter. I bought three items this time:
- LUDO's cream bread: ¥194
- Fig and cream cheese bread: ¥237
- Buckwheat flour "Paler Breton": ¥226
I enjoyed the bread at the hotel later that evening. Here are my impressions:
Cream bread: Unlike the usual cream bread, this one had a distinctive shape. I remember seeing a similar shape at Robuchon before, so I wonder if this is the basic form of cream bread in France? The brioche dough was moist, and the smooth custard cream was delicious.
Fig and cream cheese bread: The figs were cute in shape. The dough was soft, and the slight tanginess from the figs was a nice touch. It paired perfectly with the cream cheese inside.
Buckwheat flour "Paler Breton": This was brought back to Osaka. It had a light texture without making the mouth dry, and it was moist with a good buckwheat flavor.
Overall, it was a delightful experience! I wish I had bought more bread with buckwheat flour.

The salt roll bread was consistently delicious! The outer layer was quite firm, while the inside was fluffy with a noticeable buttery taste—excellent! The croissant dough with chocolate chips and cream was also delicious! The cream inside was especially to my liking. The sandwich had a dough that distinctly felt like soba flour, and the wasabi cream was delicious. Overall, everything was satisfying!

Visited on a whim and made some purchases, including salted bread and chocolate bread. The texture of the dough is good, rich in flavor, and delicious. It has a gentle taste. It's so delicious that it makes a great souvenir. There are so many varieties to choose from, so I'd like to come again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I bought shokupan and grape bread. I'm from Kobe. I grew up eating delicious bread and cakes, so I've been looking for them since I moved to Tokyo. Finally, I found shokupan here that is as delicious as or even better than the delicious shokupan I ate in my hometown of Kobe and Ashiya! The inside is fluffy. The crust is not too hard and crispy. I'm looking forward to breakfast!

Visited with a friend around 10 a.m. on Saturday for breakfast. The place offers both dine-in and takeaway options. The exterior and interior are stylish but not overly formal, providing a cozy atmosphere. I had a croissant sandwich, while my friend opted for a chewy soba flour pastry. What impressed me the most was the good value for money. They offer a variety of drinks, but also provide packaged beverages, which is great for those times when you don't feel like having coffee. I chose a Takanoashi milk carton for ¥110. The croissant sandwich was decent, not outstanding, with a balanced buttery and slightly sweet flavor. Personally, I found my friend's chewy pastry (made with a mix of wheat and soba flour) quite tasty. Overall, it's a convenient, stylish, and delightful bakery that I'd be happy to visit if it were in my neighborhood.

Located in Oyamadai, "VENT DE LUDO" is a bakery cafe just a 1-minute walk from Tokyu Oimachi Line Oyamadai Station. The name "Vent de Ludo" means "Ludo's Wind" and comes from the nickname of Ludovic Richard, a MOF-certified bread-making instructor who grew up in Brittany, northwestern France. Operated by "Pare de Pan," a subsidiary of the bakery giant "Pompadour" based in Yokohama's Naka Ward, it's the first branch of this bakery cafe concept supervised by Ludovic. All production staff received direct training in bread making from Ludovic in his hometown of Brittany, France. Rather than simply reproducing Ludovic's recipes, they prioritize using quality local ingredients and trusting their own artisan sensibilities. The menu combines Breton and Japanese bread cultures. Ludovic Richard, a recipient of the prestigious MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) award, is a true artisan who embodies the spirit of gratitude towards nature and a commitment to creating simple yet distinctive products. There is seating available for dining in. I had two types of bread and an iced coffee. The first bread was "LUDO's Brioche," a moist brioche made with fermented butter, eggs, milk, and honey, rich in buttery flavor and sweetness. The second was "Sauerkraut Sausage," a bread baked with sauerkraut sausage and whole grain mustard wrapped in curry dough. It was delicious, especially when eaten with the chewy dough, conveying a powerful taste. Among Ludovic's specialties are the "Soba Flour Baguette," which pairs well with Japanese ingredients like wasabi, as well as rustic breads like "Country Bread" and "Rye Bread," made with rye, whole wheat, and soba flour. The staff, always smiling and friendly, are popular with locals.

I visited around Saturday afternoon. Although there were few types of bread left, I could dine in. I had buckwheat baguette, fig and honey Gorgonzola bread with coffee. The bread had intricate flavors, and the coffee was delicious.

I had an iced café latte and a fig and cream cheese-filled bread for here, and I took away a berry, walnut, and buckwheat bread. The fig and cream cheese bread was divine! When you tear it open, the fig and cream cheese spill out, it's the perfect combination!

I went in for lunch and found that the back of the store is a cafe. When I asked if they were serving lunch, they said they were. There were no lunch menus inside or outside the store, but if you ask the staff, they will show you the menu. I had the "Chicken Vegetable Soup Set" from a selection of pasta and other items. The soup was delicious, with lots of ingredients and a curry-like flavor. What's noteworthy is that the bread is all-you-can-eat! The bread from the famous bakery is unlimited. Of course, I had seconds. It was a lunch that exceeded my expectations. I would like to visit again. The cafe is open until 17:30, with the last order at 18:00, and there is Wi-Fi. Thank you for the meal.

This is a bakery in the Happy Road shopping street in Oyamadai with 100 shops in 2022. I occasionally use it to buy souvenirs, and this time I bought a Kouign-Amann to enjoy with tea as I had guests. The bottom was firm and substantial, giving it a good texture. It was delicious with just the right amount of sweetness, and my friends also liked it. I haven't tried their meal bread yet, but I'd like to make an opportunity to do so in the future.

First visit. I arrived shortly before 5 p.m. on a weekday. The interior of the shop was filled with delicious-looking bread. There was also a slightly spacious café space towards the back, so I decided to have some tea there. After purchasing some bread, I ordered a mochi mochi eclair and a blend coffee. The mochi mochi eclair had a very robust dough, difficult to cut even with a knife, but it was elegant and flavorful, pairing exceptionally well with chocolate. I also indulged in a cherry Danish at my seat. Its crispy Danish pastry texture was excellent, with a perfect balance of cherry's slight acidity and custard cream's mild sweetness. Ordered items (tax included): - Mochi mochi eclair: ¥264 - Blend coffee: ¥440 Takeout: - Cherry Danish: ¥378 - LUDO cream bread: ¥216 - LUDO bread salad: ¥194 - Whole wheat bread (1/4 loaf): ¥237 Paid with iD.

It's a shop near Odakyu Line's Osanadai Station. It was my first visit although I've passed by several times before. It's a French bread shop. I chose the classic Pain au Chocolat, apple bread, and sandwich bread. The Pain au Chocolat was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Both the chocolate and the bread itself were delicious. The apple bread had a sophisticated taste. The bread made with buckwheat flour had a unique deliciousness. It's a great shop. Thank you for the meal. I'll come again.

On my way back, I stopped by Van de Ludo Odakyu-yama-dai store. I bought bacon, epi croissant, eclair, LUDO's cream bread, amandine, and pain au chocolat. My eldest daughter had the croissant eclair before her cram school, my second daughter had the cream bread, and I had the amandine. The croissant dough eclair was delicious, and the cream bread was also tasty. The amandine had a crispy outer layer and a soft inside, with plenty of chocolate and almonds, which was delicious. There's also seating inside the store. They accept PayPay payments. Seeking delicious bread, I visited Ruedo, one of the top 100 bread shops, in Oyamadai. Despite thinking it was my first visit, I realized I had been here before. It's a small place, but you can also use it as a cafe, which is convenient being close to the station. The bread is delicious. I would definitely love to visit again if I have the chance!

Visited on June 11, 2023, at 13:27. There were about three customers inside the store making purchases. The cafe area seemed to have some available space. I bought LUDO's cream bread (216 yen), LUDO's salted bread (194 yen), and apple soba flour bread (496 yen). The salted bread is similar to a typical salted bread, slightly fluffy with a good balance of butter aroma and saltiness, and the overall taste of the bread is delightful. The cream bread has a hint of liqueur, a pleasant fragrance, and the sugar on the surface adds a nice texture. Although it was compact, it was reasonably priced, which I also appreciated.

Vanduryudo, a restaurant affiliated with the nationwide chain Pompadour, is located in front of Odakyu Line's Oyamadai Station in Setagaya Ward. Under the guidance of Ludovic, who has won the Best Craftsman Award in Brittany, the bread made here is slightly different from Pompadour's lineup and tends to be a bit more expensive. Their Country Bread with Buckwheat Flour (1/4 loaf for 216 yen) has a chewy crumb with a rich flavor. It's made with rye flour, whole wheat flour, and buckwheat flour. The strong aroma of rye is pleasing, the surface is moist, and the inside is chewy. It's not as sour as the aroma suggests, and the buckwheat flavor is also subtle. It's not as distinctive as expected, so it's a versatile bread that can be enjoyed as is, in a sandwich, or with a meal.

In front of Odakyu-yama-dai Station, there is a blue shop with a distinctly French atmosphere. I reserved a baguette and also bought a meat pie that caught my eye inside the store. The meat pie costs 442 yen and has a generous filling of Bolognese sauce, giving it a delightful flavor. Both the sauce and the pie itself are delicious. The LUDO baguette, priced at 388 yen, lives up to the shop's name with its splendid quality. I lightly toasted it and enjoyed it with jam—a simple but exquisite treat. While both items were tasty, the baguette left a lasting impression. Encountering such high-quality is quite rare.

I visited "Vandu Ryudo Ozanadai Store," located just a minute's walk from Oyamadai Station on the Tokyu Oimachi Line. Arriving there on a weekday afternoon, I found only two other customers ahead of me. Luckily, I didn't have to wait and could purchase bread from their famous selection. This time, I bought four types of bread: Apple Sobamochi Bread for 496 yen, Black Tea and Cassis Danish for 410 yen, Mango Passion Chocolat for 388 yen, and Pain au Lait for 216 yen. Although the bread with fruits like apple and mango was delicious and allowed me to fully enjoy the freshness of the fruits, I couldn't help but feel that they were a bit expensive. Surprisingly, my favorite among the four was the cheapest one, Pain au Lait! Its simple flavor with the comforting taste of milk chocolate was delightful. Thanks for the meal.

A bakery located in front of Odakyu Oyamadai Station in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. Visited during lunchtime. Purchased two items: "Croissant" for 237 yen and "Pain au Chocolat" for 291 yen. The prices seem reasonable for Setagaya-ku. The croissant has a good buttery flavor and a crispy texture, very delicious. The Pain au Chocolat has a refreshing sweetness, moist dough, and is quite tasty. It's located near the Tokyu Oimachi Line Oyamadai Station, with a distinctive blue exterior, and there's also seating available inside.

I happened to be nearby, so I thought why not! Bread! Cheese, Danish, and soba flour bread! They were all delicious~ The cheese bread had a crispy crust and a cheesy interior! It had a bit of saltiness which made it tasty. And the Danish! (Croissant sandwich?) It had a crispy croissant dough with something sweet inside, which was also delicious! And the soba flour bread! Simple but chewy and tasty~ I'd love to go again!

I stopped by because it's a famous bakery. I bought just one bread for ¥275. The reviews mentioned it's made with buckwheat flour, and there were lots of detailed descriptions, which surprised me. Everyone is amazing. It was late, so many items were sold out, but luckily I found something delicious. It's a bread with salami and cabbage, maybe curry flavored. It tastes great. The staff at the shop were very friendly and cute. By the way, they also have a cafe.
