I revisited the bakery in April 2023 around noon, and there were still plenty of options available. I purchased the delicious salted Danish and freshly baked croque monsieur that I enjoyed last time. The salted Danish was consistently delicious, and I will definitely want to eat it again. The croque monsieur had smoked ham, cheese, béchamel sauce, and a crispy delicate Danish, layered together to create a good texture and elegant taste. It was also delicious! This bakery truly lives up to its reputation as a Danish specialty shop. April 12, 2023. ⭐︎3.63

I walked about 10 minutes from Daikanyama Station down a narrow street and found this Danish specialty shop that I had been curious about. I decided to stop by while taking a stroll. I tried the fig pastry which was rated 4.5, the quinammon rated 3.8, the red bean butter rated 3.5, the croque monsieur rated 4.2, and the olive pastry rated 4.2. All the pastries were crispy and delicious. I especially liked the fig pastry and would love to have it again. The sizes were small so the cost performance may not be the best, but the customer service was excellent and I would like to visit again.

I visited the other day. I went in the early afternoon on a weekday, and some items were sold out. I opted for a simple salt Danish pastry. It was crispy and delicious, with a nice lingering saltiness at the end. The crispy texture was really surprising! Next time, I want to try a savory Danish pastry.

It was a popular shop, so I made a reservation on Instagram in advance and picked up my order. You can choose from the menu on Instagram and reserve just one item. They said it was okay to keep it at room temperature, but since it was summer, they included an ice pack. Truly a Danish specialty shop! The pastries were crispy and delicious. The photo shows an an butter, nectarine (they recommended chilling it before eating), and a croque monsieur.

I'm heading to the Danish specialty shop "Laekker" that I've been wanting to visit for a while, after stopping by a fruit parlor I found on the way. I arrived at 11:30. Laekker is a small Danish specialty shop run by the owner alone. There were no customers before or after me. They had about 15 types of pastries displayed in the case. Unfortunately, the peach fruit Danish was sold out, but they had black currant, pine, blueberry, and plum fruit Danishes available. I wanted to buy a warm Danish, but it was too hot outside and I didn't have a cooler bag, so I settled for pastries that were okay at room temperature. I purchased a smoked ham croque-monsieur for 440 yen, a salt Danish for 320 yen, and a daily special brown mash Danish for 450 yen, totaling 1210 yen. The smoked ham croque-monsieur had a moist Danish dough, the salt Danish had a crispy texture with a strong salt flavor, and the brown mash Danish with potatoes was a savory pastry with a creamy white sauce. I plan to revisit when the weather cools down to try the custard-filled warm Danish and fruit Danishes.

I heard that sometimes you can't get in without a reservation, so I made a reservation in advance and visited the restaurant. The restaurant is located between Ebisu Station and Shibuya Station, turning off the main street towards Daikanyama Station. After walking for a while, I found the restaurant quietly along the main street, and confirmed the location by reading the signboard carefully. I entered and saw a case with Danish pastries, displaying the items available for purchase. I visited around lunchtime, so there were still plenty of options. I gave my name, and they handed me the prepared package. I went home and enjoyed it right away. First, I had a croque-monsieur. I warmed it up a bit before eating. The rich taste of egg and cheese goes well with the crispy Danish pastry. I chilled the white peach Danish before eating. The crispy outer Danish pastry and the thick custard inside complement each other well. The peach on top is cool and refreshing when chilled, and it's a sweet variety. It was delicious, not overshadowed by the rich custard. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at the store after 3 pm, so there were only 4 types left. I bought 3 of them: salt Danish (320 yen), green olive and black pepper (420 yen), and warm Danish (410 yen). You can have the warm Danish filled with cream on the spot. I love the crispy Danish with the scent of butter and flour! The cream inside is gently sweet and I couldn't stop eating it. The olive and black pepper Danish is in the shape of toppings on the salt Danish. It goes well with wine. They use carefully selected ingredients, and the price is reasonable. (I often go to a patisserie where the Danish pastries are different but cost 800 yen...) Next time, I want to go earlier and try different types.

I bought Carrot and Warm Danish, as well as Nasu and minced meat ragout! The Carrot flavor was amazing, and the Warm Danish was delicious with the cream added on the spot, creating a perfect balance. I would love to try different flavors as well!

This popular Viennese pastry specialty store always sells out early. The Strawberry Mascarpone has a perfect balance of jam and cream. The crispy texture is irresistible! The Warm Danish is filled with cream upon ordering. The amazing crispy texture is irresistible!

I made a reservation and went. The interior of the store was very warm and cozy, and the staff's explanation was also polite. The Danish pastries were all delicious, and I think the ones with a salty taste are better warmed up. I would like to use it again. Thank you for the deliciousness. ✨

I visited the store before 11 a.m. on Saturday. There were still many types of pastries to choose from, but I couldn't resist the red bean butter pastry. I bought it for 420 yen. This place specializes in Danish pastries, so I knew I had to eat it right away. The pastry was crispy and the butter was light, I finished it in no time. While there are many red bean butter pastries out there, the combination with Danish pastry is unique to this place. Definitely worth a try!

A small bakery located on a side street in Daikanyama. When you open the door, you will see beautifully displayed bread in a small glass case, like works of art.
Order details:
- Brown Sugar Bread: 350 yen
It has a rich buttery aroma when you bite into it! The butter is carefully kneaded between the dough layers. The combination of butter and sugar is very delicious.
- Pineapple Danish: 570 yen
I had it the next morning after leaving it overnight, and the Danish pastry remained crispy. Look at the beautiful layers. It was topped with Taiwanese pineapple, which was sweet and ripe. The rich custard cream was irresistible.
Miscellaneous notes:
The owner has experience as a pastry chef and has become a bakery artisan. They use Hokkaido wheat and Hokkaido butter, which they are particular about. It's rare to find bread that lets you taste the butter so much. The prices are on the higher side, but it's delicious. I have a feeling it will become a popular bakery.

I visited the shop at 11 am on a weekday and there were no customers before or after me. I bought 6 pastries for 2780 yen including tax, and they provided a free carry-out bag. The pastries were delicately packed in a box, maintaining their beautiful appearance. The pastries were light and crispy, and I enjoyed them. Although I bought too many at once, they were all delicious. The savory pastries had a slightly strong salty taste, while the sweet pastries were more to my liking. The staff at the shop were friendly, and the atmosphere inside and outside the shop was stylish and pleasant. I don't remember if they were selling pin badges or magnets, but they were cute. I would love to go back and try more pastries in the fall. Thank you for the delicious food.

I have been curious about the Danish specialty store "Rekar" in Daikanyama for a long time as a Danish lover, but popular items tend to sell out in the morning, making it difficult to visit. Finally, I was able to visit. The location is just a few minutes' walk from Daikanyama. On the map on Tabelog, it looked like a storefront, but it is actually located in a narrow alley. I wondered if people would come to such a quiet place. The store is small and can only fit 2-3 people at a time. The showcase is filled with a wide variety of Danish pastries. The store is small, but the selection is very extensive, offering over 10 different types of pastries from savory to fruit-based. On this day, perhaps due to the bad weather, there were still many pastries available. I purchased the following items:
- Varm Danish (410 yen): A Danish version of cream puff with custard filling. The custard is filled in the Danish pastry after ordering. The custard cream is not too sweet, with a rich flavor, and the crunchy texture of the Danish pastry is nice.
- Strawberry Danish (590 yen): Consisting of strawberries, strawberry jelly, and custard cream. A pastry with a crispy crust and a subtle custard. A dish focused on strawberry jelly and fruit.
- Frais Mascarpone (570 yen): Another item featuring strawberries, suitable for the strawberry season. The combination of strawberry acidity and mascarpone richness is great.
- Croissant au Gorgonzola and Honey (390 yen): A croissant-style Danish with Gorgonzola and honey. A crispy texture and buttery flavor. The texture with a good bite is refreshing.
- Creme au Chocolat (580 yen): The classic combination of chocolate and Danish. A fail-proof choice.
- Salt Danish (320 yen): A simple combination of Danish and salt. Simple yet allowing you to fully enjoy the flavor of the pastry, with a slight hint of salt as an accent.
- Chicken Mince and Mascarpone (450 yen): I also tried a savory item. The umami of the minced meat, the richness of the mascarpone, and the crispy texture give more of a sweet impression than a savory one.
I purchased about 8 items, and all the Danish pastries were baked perfectly crispy and fragrant. The store even dares to make items that are not typically Danish into Danish, showing their dedication. Thank you for the meal.

I decided to have a Danish pastry at "Laekker". I bought the "Strawberry Danish" for 590 yen and enjoyed it on a bench outside the shop. The crispy texture and sweetness of the Danish pastry were delightful. The combination of custard cream, marinated strawberries, and sauce was also very good. Although the pastry was a bit small, I thought 590 yen was a bit expensive, but I didn't mind it too much. There were more reasonably priced pastries available, so I plan to buy them next time and enjoy them at home.

I visited here because I was curious and it was nearby. They use Hokkaido-grown wheat and Hokkaido-produced butter, and they don't use margarine or shortening at all! Their Danish pastries are highly praised as souvenirs, and they tend to sell out quickly on weekends, unfortunately they were already sold out when I arrived. They aim to change the image that Danish pastries are only delicious when freshly baked, and they ensure a crispy texture that can be enjoyed for a long time even when taken home. I would like to try buying various items if I have the chance again.

Today's visit was to Lecar, a bakery located in Daikanyama, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Lecar is a popular Danish bakery that has been attracting customers since its opening. The store is about a 5-minute walk from Daikanyama and is known for selling out daily around 3 pm. I purchased two items this time: the Brown Danish, which had a hint of honey sweetness and a crispy, fragrant texture, and the Warm Danish, a delightful treat filled with smooth, vanilla-scented cream that perfectly complemented the crispy Danish pastry. Both items were delicious, showcasing the unique qualities of this bakery that sets it apart from others. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

As a Danish specialty store, the dough was outstandingly crispy and crunchy! They also pay attention to the ingredients, so everything was incredibly delicious! The Varm Danish, where custard cream is squeezed inside after ordering, was especially delicious! The custard cream had plenty of vanilla beans in it, and the aroma was wonderful. The dough and cream matched perfectly. Thank you very much.

Laekker, a small Danish specialty shop in Daikanyama, almost sells out by the evening, so I always go right before closing time and have never seen the products displayed in the showcase haha. The owner chef is a very friendly and kind man. Last year, I bought three types of delicious Danish pastries, including a strawberry one.
- Warm Danish (410 yen): They fill the cream just before you purchase it. The crispy Danish pastry with a generous amount of creamy custard has a satisfying crunch, like a puff pastry.
- Frais Mascarpone (570 yen): A layer of custard on the Danish pastry, topped with mascarpone cream and strawberry sauce. It's so delicious!
- Strawberry Danish (590 yen): Danish pastry with custard, fresh strawberry sauce, and marinated strawberries. Juicy and refreshing, a must-try for strawberry lovers.
The great thing about this place is that if you make a reservation through Instagram DM, they will hold your order until 5:00 PM! No need to wait in line unnecessarily or rush to get there early, which is really convenient. It would be great if more places did this.

Last time, I was unable to buy much, so I decided to give it another try. This time, I made a reservation through Instagram DM the day before. It seems like it's better to reserve fruit-based pastries. Even though it was raining, there was still a decent variety of Danish pastries available at the store on a Saturday afternoon, but it's still recommended to reserve if you want to make sure you get what you want. Overall, the pastries are quite expensive, with prices over 500 yen for a palm-sized pastry. The prices are not listed on Instagram, which is a common occurrence. The prices may be surprising for first-time visitors, but considering the quality, it seems reasonable. The pastries are delicious, with a crispy texture and a subtle buttery aroma. The fruit-based pastries have a juicy filling and a good contrast between the crispy Danish pastry and the juicy fruit. The staff at the store are polite and the pastries are undeniably tasty. However, the prices are a bit high. It's not something you would eat regularly, but you might want to try it when they have seasonal fruit pastries available.

I had been wanting to visit this bakery for a while, but it always seemed to be closed whenever I tried. Today, I finally found it after some confusion with the map. It turned out the entrance was not on the main street as I had thought, but tucked away in a quiet spot. The bakery was small and had lovely interior decor. They had a variety of Danish pastries, both sweet and savory. I couldn't decide which one to get as they all looked so beautiful in the display case! I ended up choosing their specialty, the Varm Danish, which was filled with custard cream on the spot. The layers of the Danish were so beautifully flaky and delicious.
