A few minutes' walk from the south exit of Kinshicho Station is a Chinese ramen shop. Despite being called Chinese ramen, their commitment to using only duck and water makes it a 100% duck ramen with uncompromising quality. Arriving at the shop a little after 8 o'clock, there were 7 people waiting ahead. While waiting with anticipation, a staff member came to collect food tickets. It seems you have to buy the ticket first. I purchased the special salt-flavored Chinese ramen from the vending machine and returned to the line. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I finally entered the shop. Once seated, the Chinese ramen arrived promptly. The bowl was hot, so the staff warned me to be careful, and indeed, it was scalding hot. It seems they're particular about it not cooling down quickly. I immediately tasted the soup. The clarity and richness of the soup come through precisely because it's salt-flavored. It's incredibly delicious. The straight noodles effortlessly absorbed into my body. The duck meat was indescribable; the taste, texture, and balance of fat were simply delicious. There were also seared diced pieces, which added a great flavor. On the other hand, the egg had a simple taste, so I ate it while mixing it with the soup. After a long time, I lifted the bowl and drank every last drop of the soup. I definitely want to come back to this place.

The fourth stop is the finale, and it's definitely a place for noodle enthusiasts. It's been a year since my last visit, and there was a bit of a line. Clearly, this place is popular. I tried the duck ramen with soy sauce soup, and it was fantastic. The soup had a rich umami flavor that hits you right away. Despite the noticeable amount of oil floating on the surface, it wasn't heavy or overwhelming. The clear deliciousness of the broth made it irresistible, and I couldn't stop sipping it. The straight noodles were cooked perfectly, and I couldn't help but think, "This is amazing." The duck chashu on top was not only tasty but melting the yuzu (citrus) on it added a delightful aroma that lingered in the nostrils. I was genuinely impressed and finished every last bit. My stomach is happily satisfied. Thank you for the feast!

Yes, it's delicious. This time, I had the salt and ojiya (rice porridge) set for 1200 yen. The condiment is the reliable yuzu pepper. It's great for dipping duck meat or melting into the soup, adding an accent to the rice before the porridge. The balance between the soup and noodles is excellent. While I also like the tai (sea bream) available across, my preference is for duck. Despite the slightly lukewarm cold water, it can be enjoyed even on hot days. Thank you for the meal!

Visited at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Despite the scorching heat, I queued alone. Purchased a ticket for the Special Duck Ramen with Soy Sauce (¥1,350) and joined the line. The interior of the restaurant consisted only of a counter. Despite the kitchen being right in front, the air conditioning wasn't effective, making it quite hot and tiresome on sweltering days... Sweat-drenched, the presentation of the bowl was remarkably beautiful. The clear amber-colored soup, made entirely of duck without any artificial seasonings, had a mild sweetness and a lively duck flavor. They apparently use foie gras oil here. There were two types of smoked chashu. The block-style duck pastrami had a strong pepper flavor. The thinly sliced duck breast was tender and delicious, blending well with the soup. Grilled leeks paired excellently with the duck. The soup coated the noodles well, and I realized that the smoothness and lack of sharpness in the soup were characteristic of its lack of artificial seasonings. I couldn't help but think it would have been more comfortable to eat if the air conditioning had been working better... Anyway, it was a delightful meal.ありがとうございました。

Despite the hot weather outside, the air conditioning wasn't working. I chose what seemed to be a popular option from the menu board, the salt-flavored ramen. The duck broth was light and lacked any unpleasant odor. The noodles were smooth and thin, resembling udon. The toppings included slices of roast pork, seaweed, egg, bok choy, and plenty of green onions, which made the dish quite enjoyable. It had a slightly salty taste, maybe due to the seasoned egg, but overall, it was a unique and tasty ramen experience.

Special chilled ginger soy sauce duck ramen ¥1290 at Chukasoba Mantekiken, Nishiki-cho, Kinshicho. Stopped by for lunch while transferring at Kinshicho station. Was torn between "Men'u" but was drawn to the chilled and duck options. The soy sauce soup, with a refreshing touch of ginger and myoga, complemented by slightly wavy medium-thick noodles, was delightful ♥️ Plenty of tender duck meat left me completely satisfied. Enjoyed every bit of it. #Mantekiken #Koto Ward #Tokyo #ramen #gourmet #noodlestagram #noodlelover #ramenlover #TokyoRamenMania #ramenclub #ramenlover #ramenpatrol #japanesefood #ramen #ramennoodles

I went to a restaurant I had been curious about, aiming for its 11 AM opening, only to find already about 5 people waiting in line. I first purchased a ticket for their special cold ginger soy sauce duck soba (¥1,300) using a transit IC card from a vending machine. After rejoining the line, a staff member collected the meal ticket and after a 15-minute wait, I was seated and the dish was served in about 5 minutes. The dish was not only visually refreshing but also delightful to eat, with the duck broth and ginger soy sauce noodles perfectly mingling with the accents of spinach, Japanese ginger, green onions, and perilla, making the meal exciting to eat. The cubed duck was seared and seasoned with black pepper, juicy, while the sliced duck was light, offering a pleasantly imbalanced texture and flavor coming from the same meat, which was absolutely fantastic. I'll definitely go back to try other items on the menu. Thank you for the meal.

I went to a ramen shop that I'd been curious about for a while. It was easy to find from the station, and I arrived without any trouble. Inside, there was only a counter, and I didn't have to wait since it was not crowded. I ordered salt ramen and tsukemen. The presentation was neat and beautiful. The salt broth was refreshing, although I initially found it a bit light, I ended up drinking it all without realizing. The tsukemen had roasted pork in it, seasoned well with pepper, and it tasted really delicious. The soup was on the richer side and slightly salty. However, mixing in the yuzu on the spoon balanced out the richness, and I finished it in no time. It was a satisfying meal.

A ramen shop where the chicken is more delicious than the yakitori place. The chicken is so tender that you might end up enjoying it more than the noodles. I usually go for the soy sauce flavor, but I also recommend the salt flavor, as it enhances the taste of the chicken even more.

I don't have a particular occasion for visiting, from dining alone to going with friends. However, there is often a line, so it's recommended to go around 12:00 or 14:00 to avoid the peak hours.

I visited around 15:00 on a holiday. The restaurant was full, but I was lucky to be seated after about 5 minutes. I bought a ticket inside the restaurant for Duck Chuka Soba Salt for 950 yen (including tax). They use only duck and water to make the soup, so the flavor of the duck was well infused, and the balance with the soup was excellent. The noodles were thin and had a good chewy texture. The location is about an 8-minute walk from the south exit of Kinshicho Station, and there is also Men-gyo nearby. After I was seated, there were 2 or 3 groups waiting, so I think it's best to time your visit carefully!

Ramen restaurant Manchiken is located about a 6-minute walk from Kinshicho South Exit. It was my first visit for Saturday night dinner. 😊
I ordered their Special Duck Shoyu Ramen priced at 1,290 yen (tax included). It comes with two types of duck chashu generously included: one diced and the other thinly sliced. The combination of the chunky and tender textures, enhanced by charcoal and pepper flavors, was excellent.
The bowl also included flavored egg, komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach), green onions, and seaweed, which made for a satisfying meal.
I liked that you could request wasabi, yuzu pepper, sansho (Japanese pepper), and ginger for free to add variety to the flavors. I tried wasabi and yuzu pepper, and they paired wonderfully with the chashu.
I also tasted the Shoyu Ramen broth, which was sweeter and milder compared to the salt-based broth. The difference lies in the komatsuna used; the salt version had stems while the soy sauce version had leaves. I look forward to visiting again soon! (Next time, I want to try their tsukemen.) Thank you for the delicious meal!

Mantekiken offers high-quality salt ramen. Many fans visit to enjoy their luxurious duck ramen. The special salt ramen costs 1290 yen. The soup is made purely with water and duck, giving a clear and delicious flavor. It's easy to drink with a hint of saltiness and a smooth texture. The noodles are medium-thin, complementing the clear soup well. Each slurp brings out the aroma of duck, making it delightful. The toppings include duck chashu, which is juicy and perfectly seasoned, accompanied by refreshing yuzu. The truffle and green onion rice bowl adds a punch of truffle aroma and addictive green onion flavor. Recommended for those who want to savor pure broth and enjoy thin noodles.

I tried the most popular salt ramen. At first, I took a sip of the soup with a spoon and thought, "Huh?" It didn't have much distinct flavor, making it hard to give it a high score. However, in the end, I finished the entire soup. The soup apparently consisted only of duck and water. The duck chashu was softer than expected, and it went well even in a chashu and green onion rice bowl. As someone who generally prefers soy sauce, this salt ramen made me think I'd like to try soy sauce next time. The balance of flavors in the salt ramen is very good. It deserves a high score... I'm convinced.

I had some business in Kinshicho, so I decided to try a highly-rated duck salt ramen that I haven't had before. The restaurant had a limited number of seats, but I could sit right away (I wish they would either close the entrance area because it's hot or turn up the air conditioning). As for the duck salt ramen, I didn't find any particular features. The broth was tasty, but it didn't quite meet my expectations for ramen. I've realized that I prefer bold soy-based flavors.

I visited Kinshicho on a business trip and finally got to try this place I'd been curious about. It's a bit of a walk from the station, and definitely needed a parasol this time of year! Luckily, I didn't have to wait in line to get in, although there were over five groups waiting afterwards. There was something I wanted to try, but it was just too hot, so I was drawn to their limited edition chilled duck dipping soba. It was even more delicious than I imagined! It had refreshing toppings like myoga, shiso, and eggplant, giving it a summery feel, yet the duck flavor was rich. The dipping sauce wasn't salty at all, I wanted to drink it all up! A must-visit for duck lovers. I'll definitely be coming back here again!

It was a bit pricey, but the ramen was truly splendid. It had duck and another type of meat generously piled in. The broth had a hint of buttery flavor. The egg had a smoky aroma. The service was well-rounded and convenient.

Special Duck Shoyu Ramen + Seasonal Green Vegetables for 1290 yen, plus 150 yen. Arrived around 6:00 PM. Peeking into the restaurant, no queue. Saw an employee eating in the back, so decided to kill time at a nearby park. During this time, one person entered the restaurant, so I followed suit. Following the duck broth shop I visited earlier, this one also had a duck-only broth. The saltiness was a bit strong, but it became less noticeable as I ate, so it was tolerable. The noodles were thin straight noodles with a smooth texture. There were two types of duck chashu: breast and loin. The diced breast chashu released a gentle fatiness when chewed, very delicious. The loin had a nice chewiness. While the duck's essence wasn't prominent in the soup, the duck chashu was excellent. Additionally, there were flavored eggs, seaweed, green vegetables, and scallions. They provided several condiments, and this time I chose wasabi and yuzu pepper. The yuzu pepper was a bit too intense, not quite suitable for the soup or chashu, but the wasabi paired excellently. It could be dipped lightly onto the chashu or dissolved into the soup, adding a refreshing taste. If you're not averse to wasabi, highly recommended.

Compared to Kansai, ramen prices in Tokyo are a bit higher. While I was tempted by the rice bowls, I opted for the special soy sauce ramen with a hint of yuzu fragrance this time. Let me tell you, the chicken chashu is absolutely divine – tender and bursting with flavor with every bite. There were two types of chashu: one rare and tender, and the other gradually releasing its umami richness as you chew. The broth was on the lighter side; personally, I felt it could have coated the noodles a bit more. The seasoned egg also had a different taste compared to Kansai, perhaps reflecting a cultural difference. Overall, it was a delicious ramen experience. I'm curious about trying the duck dipping noodles and the adjacent noodle fish place as well.

I went to "Munch-ken" in Kinshicho recommended by a ramen buddy. Even though I arrived at 8:30 PM with the shop closing at 9 PM, it was already packed. Luckily, I got a seat quickly, but people were lining up behind me. The special duck shio ramen was amazing. The soup made only with duck and water was so flavorful, blending perfectly with the straight thin noodles. The duck and pork chashu with its smoked aroma, spices, and grated yuzu peel heightened the taste even more. You can request condiments like grated ginger, wasabi, sansho pepper, and yuzu pepper. I chose wasabi and yuzu pepper, which enhanced the flavor whether mixed with the meat or dissolved in the soup. There was plenty of meat, making it enjoyable to try various flavor combinations. The flavored egg was the best I've had recently, incredibly delicious. I can't wait to go back! On July 21, 2023, I visited Shiomitsutenken in Nishinippori Station, Tokyo for the first time and tried their special Duck Chuka Soba with Salt. The soup was clear with chicken oil, enriched with the flavor of duck. It featured two kinds of duck char siu. The noodles were medium-thin and offered a refreshing taste with a smooth richness. Thank you for the delicious meal!
