Visited on September 3, 2023, at 13:30, at the renowned bakery in Hachioji, "Boule·Beurre·Boulangerie," known as one of the top 100 bread shops. I parked my car in a nearby coin parking lot as I did during my visits in 2022, 2020, 2019, 2018, and 2017. The eye-catching red, stylish exterior has changed since my followers mentioned a blue and red facade; now it's red on red. Perhaps a recent renovation?
Inside, the sales are face-to-face, with a chic ambiance. The items I purchased this time include:
- Danow Fruits (¥350): Crispy Danish pastry with a hint of chocolate coating, matching well with the berry's acidity. Rating: 3.8
- Boule·Boule (¥300): The shop's proud croissant, named "Boule·Boule." Crispy texture, rich butter aroma, addictive with reduced folds, increased butter, and a 72-hour aged dough. Rating: 4.6, and luckily, there was only one in the showcase!
- An Coco (¥250) x2: Red bean with coconut filling.
- Melon Pan (Hanamizuki) (¥250)
- Baguette (¥330): A baguette with a slightly thin crust, crispy surface, and a soft inside with excellent texture and flavor. Toasting enhances its deliciousness. Rating: 3.7
- Rye Bread (Half) (¥360): Conveniently pre-sliced with impeccable flavor and texture.
The service was excellent, with polite and attentive staff. I'd love to have the Boule·Boule croissant again; it's becoming my favorite. Despite the high hurdle of being closed on Mondays to Wednesdays, I'd like to visit again. Interestingly, it's close to the Ebiya Hachioji Main Store, where I visited eight years ago.
