Bakery in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. Located near Seijo Gakuen-mae Station on the Odakyu Line. I stopped by on a weekday evening while running errands. The bright and spacious store with glass windows. The shelves were also spacious. Although the bread was running low due to the time, the bread I wanted, the shokupan (white bread) and baguette were still available. I also bought an anpan for breakfast the next day. - Shokupan (1 loaf) 313 yen (packaging: plastic bag) - Baguette 356 yen (packaging: plastic bag) - Tsubuanpan (red bean paste bun) 216 yen (packaging: plastic bag) The shokupan was a slightly elongated loaf with a thick crust and a firm texture, which I liked. The baguette was a traditional soft crumb and thin crust type, similar to the ones you would find in a restaurant. The anpan was still moist the next morning, with just the right amount of sweetness in the red bean paste. I enjoyed all the bread I bought this time, and the retro-style packaging of the shokupan was also nice. I would like to try other breads next time if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I bought a chocolate balloon for 216 yen, along with three other items totaling around 1000 yen. I may have forgotten to receive the receipt when paying with a credit card, so I'm not sure of the details. They had a wide variety of bread, which was great! There were discounted shelves, so I think some items were cheaper. The bread shaped like ice cream was soft and filled with lots of chocolate. The bread with cheese and bacon was delicious. I love exploring bakeries, but the selection here was the best. I definitely want to go back.

This is a bakery in front of Seijo Gakuen, open from 7am, offering a variety of products from savory to sweet buns at affordable prices. The customer base ranges from students to adults. I tried their classic curry bun and custard cream tart this time. In addition to the classic curry bun, they also have baked curry buns and huge Indian curry buns that are like fried foods, showing great effort. The classic curry bun not only has curry in the center but also around the edges, making it delicious and satisfying. The cream tart is also very delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness, making it recommendable to anyone. Overall, I think it's a beloved local shop with no disappointments in their menu.

This is a valuable bakery that opens at 7 am in front of Seijo Gakuen Station. They offer a wide variety of breads, including sandwich bread, sandwiches, side dishes, and sweet breads. This time, I chose the Chocolate Balloon, which looks like ice cream. The bread is coated with chocolate and sprayed with chocolate, and inside there is chocolate cream. It has a light texture and tastes delicious. The cone also contains bread, which is soft like a butter roll. However, the cone itself is hard and difficult to eat, but it looks cute.

Established in 1929, this long-established bakery is approaching its 100th year anniversary. They offer a wide variety of breads at very reasonable prices. One of their popular items is the Sweet Potato Bun (205 yen). It features a sweet potato filling wrapped in a pastry dough with a hint of cinnamon flavor. Despite its affordable price, the bun is generously filled with sweet potato, delivering a deliciously sweet taste. The perfect amount of whipped cream keeps the bun moist and soft. Highly recommended for sweet potato lovers.

I have visited this bakery a few times before, and I decided to revisit since I was nearby. It is located next to a supermarket, making it easy to spot. They offer a wide variety of bread, from plain loaves to pastries, deli items, and sandwiches. The fact that the bread is displayed without packaging is a bit concerning due to the high traffic of customers, but the taste is decent. I recommend getting the packaged items if you are worried. Being located near the train station, it seems like they are quite popular and busy.

Next, I entered "Seijo Pan" on the same street. The store is spacious and has a wide variety of bread. It's a bit challenging to take photos because there are quite a few customers coming in and out. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the staff, as they must feel exposed. With so many options, it was hard to choose, but I managed to narrow it down. I bought a "European" bread for 140 yen, a "Fruit Campagne" 1/3 loaf, and a "Part 2" 1/2 loaf, each for 291 yen, totaling 722 yen (tax included). It's quite affordable, right? "European" bread has delicious red bean paste inside, which goes well with the French bread dough. "Fruit Campagne" is enhanced by the abundance of fruit. As for "Part 2," the dough, which was firm, became soft and fluffy when toasted, becoming even more delicious with the sweetness of the wheat. Personal preferences play a role, but without comparing two different stores, it's impossible to say which is better. I personally felt that this one was tastier.

Located just in front of Seijo Gakuenmae station, this bakery offers a wide variety of breads. It was quite impressive to see all the different options they had. As I was looking through the selection, a woman came in and bought just one particular bread. I couldn't help but wonder, is that bread really that good? She bought it without hesitation, so I couldn't try it myself. I'll have to remember to try it next time I visit. For this visit, I bought an Ebi Katsu sandwich, Melon Pan, Piroshki, Curry Pan, and Cheese Ball (I forgot the name). The Curry Pan was especially delicious, with a crispy outer layer that I loved. The prices were reasonable too. I have a feeling I'll be back here again soon. Thank you for the delicious food!

I bought morning bread at "Seijo Pan" in Seijo. It is a bakery located on the north side of Seijo Gakuen Station. I purchased a baked curry bun for 237 yen, an "oyaki" for 205 yen, and a black bean bun for 216 yen. The baked curry bun is described as "melting" and has a white, fluffy, non-fried dough. The filling includes onions that are not completely melted. The "oyaki" I chose has pickled vegetables in it, giving it a salty flavor. The black bean bun uses the classic "Tamba black beans" in the dough, with whole beans mixed in and visible on the surface. The texture is reminiscent of traditional New Year's dishes.

I visited the "European" bakery after reading a review by Mairebi-san. The place was crowded, and I noticed the European bread, which was small and round. It felt smooth and slippery when picked up with tongs, a hard and smooth bread. I also picked up a small raisin bread that was near the European bread. Additionally, I saw the cherry bean paste bread that Mairebi-san had eaten, neatly packaged as "Seijo cherry bean paste bread." I decided to buy these three items, but then I thought about getting something salty too. So, I bought the "Trevian" cheese bread that was described on the label. I bought four items in total, and the total cost was 593 yen. The staff at the register were efficient and the service was stress-free. When I tried the Trevian bread at home, I was surprised to find red bean paste inside with cheese on top. The raisin buns were as expected, sweet and delicious. The European bread was hard and crunchy, with a nice blend of red bean paste and dough. The Seijo cherry bean paste bread was unique with a salty cherry leaf wrapped around the bottom, giving a subtle saltiness. It had a moist red bean paste with cherry blossom petals inside, creating a pleasant aroma. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I look forward to trying more "–an" bread varieties in the future.

Black sugar sweet potato 1/2 270 yen Indian curry bread 226 yen Tartar chicken 226 yen Sesame dumplings 151 yen I cut the black sugar sweet potato into 4 pieces and ate them. I love black sugar and sweet potatoes, so it was delicious, of course. The Indian curry bread was quite spicy. The outside was crispy and had a nice texture. The tartar chicken was delicious. The tartar sauce was tasty and went well with the chicken. The bread was fluffy and delicious. I was surprised to see sesame dumplings at a bakery, but they were also delicious! I would like to visit again.

There has been a delicious bakery in Seijo for a long time. The curry bread is tasty, but the crispy chocolate bread is really delicious! The curry bread has a nice spicy flavor and the outside is crispy, which gives a great texture! I'll be going to Seijo for a while, so I'll stop by there occasionally. Cheers! Cheers!

I finished my errands for Triangle Raisin Butter and headed to the station. There is an old bakery near the north exit. I haven't stopped by before, but today I will. The retro atmosphere of the bread and the friendly prices are appealing. I ordered a Triangle, with a cream inside that gives off a nostalgic Showa era vibe. The firm bread with just the right amount of cream is sweet and brings back memories. The Raisin Butter looks like a French bread, but it's quite soft. It easily gets squished. It's much fluffier than Viennoiseries. The milk butter cream was a bit melted due to the heat, but it felt like it had been warmed up, making it even more delicious. The bread has a nice crust and is so tasty. I love this Showa era vibe.

It was a sunny Saturday at 11:30 when I visited. There were about 10 customers inside the shop. Unfortunately, there were hardly any bread available, as it seemed I arrived at a bad timing. They mentioned that more bread would be ready after 12:00. Nonetheless, I purchased 7 different types of bread. I recommend the curry bread at Seijo Ishii Pan, as it is very delicious compared to their sandwich options.

- Strawberry Coronet 345 yen - Chocolate Balloon 205 yen - Quiche 270 yen - Parisian Morning 216 yen - Crunchy Chocolate 194 yen Total: 1230 yen I was captivated by the appearance of the Strawberry Coronet in front of the entrance, and even though I knew it would become a burden, I decided to stop by during my free time before my scheduled appointment. The cute Strawberry Coronet is a bit hindered by the strawberry stem, but it's still good! It's cute and delicious with plenty of whipped cream! I also got the adjacent Chocolate Balloon because it's cute too. The cone part of the Chocolate Balloon was a bit hard, but I forgive it because it looks cute! When you eat both of them, it gets messy and crumbly to the point where it makes you laugh. The Quiche had a nice kick of black pepper and was delicious! The pastry was crispy, and the small size was perfect. The Parisian Morning was amazing. Look at that cross-section! It's so beautifully layered, crispy, and fluffy. I wish I could bake croissants like this! The Crunchy Chocolate was indeed crunchy! Not just crispy, but crunchy! It was packed with chocolate and had about 20 layers that were not squished, making it delicious. And all of this only cost 1230 yen. So cheap! I had no idea about this place, but I will definitely visit again when I come to Seijo. Thank you for the meal! ⭐️

On this weekend day, I had some errands in the Odakyu Line area. I bought a luxurious donburi at Shinano-ya in Kitami and enjoyed it at a nearby public park before walking towards Seijo. Still having some room in my stomach, I decided to buy something to eat on the way if I found something suitable. I came across this shop as I was walking in front of Seijo Gakuenmae Station. It is a long-established bakery founded in 1954. When I entered the shop, I was surprised to see that the bread displayed was relatively affordable for one of Tokyo's top luxury residential areas. They had a good selection of sweet bread and fried bread, in addition to the hard bread. I heard that they have over 100 types of bread available every day. For my first visit, I purchased two types of fried bread: an Indian curry bread and a fried frank. I ate them nearby immediately, and even though they were at room temperature, both were delicious. The curry bread had cornflakes in the coating, making it a bit oily. The curry filling was more of a European or homemade style rather than Indian, but the spiciness was impressive. The fried frank was a typical type but also tasty. I felt like I needed some protein, so it was perfect for replenishing that. Thanks to this, my stomach felt just right. The presence of such a shop gives the impression that this area is more livable than Denenchofu.

On this day, I had some errands in Tama and Inagi areas, so I decided to take a leisurely bike ride since I had the day off. Before my errands, I took a little detour towards the Keio Line area to visit a bakery, and first stopped by this Seijo Pan bakery. The name of the shop gave off a traditional vibe, but it was neither old nor new, and had a lively atmosphere like a bakery in a bustling town. The place was quite crowded with customers. Since it's in Seijo, I had the impression that sophisticated bakeries are popular, but this one seemed to be just as popular. MEMO - Triangle 55 Rice: A fluffy cookie-like bread with custard cream inside, offering a nice texture. It would be even better if the cookie dough was a bit crispier. - Apple Danish: A boat-shaped Danish bread filled with apple preserve. The Danish pastry was flaky with a good chewy texture and a pleasant flavor. The balance of not being too sweet and the occasional appearance of raisins was also good. - Triangle: A triangular bread sandwich filled with cheese cream. It was described as a 6-slice loaf. Although it didn't have wings due to the silver foil, there were some attached to the edges. The cream was more like Napoli cheese, giving it a unique taste. MEMO The variety of bread was quite original, yet somehow it still gave off a "Seijo" vibe. The "Urekkonna" bread I bought today was a bit fluffy with cream, and I thought it was an original and sophisticated creation. Now, since I had come all the way to Seijo, I searched on Tabelog for a popular shop that immediately popped up, so I decided to head there next.

Two weeks since my last visit to Seijo Gakuen-mae, it was time to fulfill my promise to revisit Seijo Pan. I arrived around 1:00 pm on a weekday. Just like last time, students, families from the neighborhood, and office workers on their lunch break were all coming in one after another. Overhearing conversations about which bread to buy for tomorrow made me feel warm inside. Today's purchases: 1. Shokupan (Part 2) 1/2 ... 259 yen - A request from my mother. 2. Spicy (Full size) ... 604 yen x 2 - As promised, I got the full size this time. - My mother, who I shared half of the previous half size with, requested a full size, so I bought one for my family and one for her. - It's still delicious!!! I will definitely buy it again next time! * They also sell pre-sliced half size loaves. 3. Okorin Bou ... 216 yen - A bread with a firm dough and spicy curry inside. I was drawn to the name and since I enjoyed the Spicy bread, I thought a firm bread would be a good choice. - The curry is spicy and delicious! The bread has a good texture. I will definitely buy this again!! - There is also a sweet version called Amaen Bou. 4. Indian Curry Pan ... 194 yen - I chose the one with crispy dough on the outside out of the two curry pans available. 5. Urekkou ... 194 yen - I was drawn to the name! A sweet bread with cream cheese. 6. Kinako Andoona ... 140 yen - A hit product this time. The red bean paste with kinako is delicious! 7. Red Snow Crab Cream Croquette Pan ... 324 yen - The crab cream is rich and delicious without being overpowering. This is a flavor that children would also enjoy! - I had the Ebi Katsu last time and the Croquette this time, but it's hard to choose between the two. Both flavors are ones I want my family to try. 8. Lettuce-Loaded Ham Katsu Sandwich ... 280 yen - It has a surprising amount of lettuce, making it satisfying to eat! Much better quality than convenience store sandwiches, with a high level of satisfaction! - The cream croquette and the sandwich, as well as the burgers, have high quality. I feel like I would buy at least one of them. This time, I only bought two full-size Spicy bread loaves, which occupied the tray, but the staff kindly took care of them at the register, allowing me to make a bulk purchase for two households. Just like last time, the staff at the register were soft-spoken and polite yet efficient. The few minutes spent at the checkout were very pleasant, and I have become a fan of Seijo Pan not only for their delicious bread but also for their customer service and overall atmosphere. If Seijo Pan were near my home or office, I wouldn't buy bread anywhere else. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Pan bakery tour in front of Seijo Gakuen. A bit far from the station (though just a 30-second walk from Seijo Pan) to Kiriy's place and here at Seijo Pan. The large windows allow you to see a variety of bread from outside, making it fun even before entering. People of all ages and genders keep coming in, smoothly making their purchases as if saying "the usual". Many seem to be regulars. Visited on a weekday after 12 pm. I had already bought 2 savory bread and 1 sweet bread at Kiriy's, but couldn't resist the variety here and ended up buying 4 more plus a rice bread. Thought I was saving a lot, but... now looking forward to what to buy next time. ① Round sandwich (shrimp cutlet) ... 324 yen Shrimp is plump, and the tartar sauce has a gentle taste with vegetables, which I personally like. Soft and easy to eat, even for kids and the elderly. Gone in an instant. ② Chocolate coronet ... 183 yen Feels bigger than other coronets. The chocolate inside and the face side? (the larger side) coated with chocolate are enjoyable with different flavors. ③ Nozawana oyaki ... 172 yen Classic oyaki! The skin is chewy, and the Nozawana is not overpowering, just as expected! ④ Spicy (half size) ... 302 yen Today's MVP. Both my husband and I gave it top ratings, with the words "Should have bought the full size instead of half..." After leaving, I noticed it was on the popular menu sign at the entrance, and it made sense. The bread is firm with a good bite, yet chewy inside. Packed with cheese and the right amount of bacon saltiness. After lunch, my stomach was satisfied, so I thought I'd just take a bite... but ended up finishing it. Next time, I'll try slicing and toasting it. Like pintxos at a Spanish bar, I'd like to pair it with a light beer or cava. Definitely a repeat item. ⑤ Rice bread ... 345 yen The small size is easy to eat. True to its name, the rice bread pairs well with side dishes without being overpowering. My sister, who I shared it with, seemed to like it. For the next visit... definitely the full size of Spicy. That's a must. Since Spicy was delicious, I'm sure the hard bread selection is also a hit, so I'd like to choose 1-2 from the hard bread zone near the entrance. Also, since the shrimp cutlet was tasty, I'd like to try the yakisoba bread and croquette sandwich near the entrance, and since the sweet bread was also good, maybe try the donuts as well. My husband, who accompanied me, became a fan of Seijo Pan because they accept cards and the atmosphere created by the staff. Seeing the staff move briskly and with a smile, it felt like a fun shopping experience that brought back a childlike joy. It felt similar to the excitement of going to a candy store for the first time with pocket money. A bakery loved by everyone in the neighborhood, a very satisfying lunch.
