First visit. In the morning, I was watching Mezamashi TV and the pastries looked so delicious~ And they were collaborating with Funawa too. So, I decided to go try it out. I had the sweet potato paste scone, sweet potato yokan & caramel crunch, and the sweet potato yokan and fermented butter scone sandwich. Everything was really delicious~ I especially want to come back for the sweet potato yokan and fermented butter scone sandwich~

I wanted to try the collaboration scones from Shokunin and Kura, but there was no line, just a few customers ahead of me. I wanted to buy the one with lots of cream, but they said it can only last for a maximum of 3 hours with an ice pack, so this time I chose the regular scone and the collaboration scone. I want to stop by on my way back next time. I warmed up the scones at home. They had a nice buttery aroma and were moist just right, very delicious. The sweetness was also just right, which I really liked!

On September 3, 2023, at 2:40 PM on a sunny Sunday, I tried various scones at the restaurant. The buttermilk scone, whole wheat scone, chocolate & almond scone, and English fruit scone were all delicious. While I didn't particularly enjoy the whole wheat scone, the others were great. Personally, I prefer scones that are more crumbly and have a stronger texture.

This year has come again! The collaboration between the beloved BAKERS gonna BAKE and Funawa is here:
- Funawa's sweet potato yokan and fermented butter scone sandwich for 490 yen (tax included)
- Funawa's sweet potato paste scone for 380 yen (tax included)
- Funawa's sweet potato yokan & caramel crunch for 320 yen (tax included)
- Funawa's sweet potato & hojicha latte for 490 yen (tax included)
The scone sandwich with sweet potato yokan and butter is an irresistible delicacy. The biscuit scone sandwich with cocoa dough and caramel crunch is doing an amazing job!
My personal favorite this time is the sweet potato paste scone, filled with rich and delicious sweet potato paste. It's a must-buy souvenir!
The hojicha latte has delicious sweet potatoes at the bottom, and the combination of hojicha and sweet potato is perfect. The appearance is lovely, and the taste is outstanding!
Autumn is great, isn't it? By the way, this is a limited-time offer until November 28th.

[Date] Visited on Saturday at 4:00 PM, alone. [Reservation] Not required. Purchased without waiting. Even though it was in the evening, the variety of items available was plentiful. [Location] Inside Tokyo Station, outside the ticket gates. Located in a corner of Tokyo Gift Palette, closer to Kanda side of Yaesu exit. [Interior] Takeout only. [Order] Anko butter scone sandwich was delicious!!!! The texture of the dough was moist and crumbly. The sweetness was moderate, making it a perfect match with the anko. The deliciousness of the wheat. The fermented butter had a hint of saltiness. I personally prefer it a bit saltier, but I think this level of saltiness would be liked by everyone. The anko was not too sweet or overwhelming, creating a perfect balance overall!! Thank you for the meal!! The scone itself was just delicious. There were many varieties, so I should have tried other scones as well! Next time. [Service] The staff were efficient and friendly. [Final thoughts] A sinful sweet treat with anko and butter sandwiched between exquisite scones!

- An Butter Scone Sandwich: French Fermented Butter & Hokkaido Dainagon Red Bean - 440 yen. I've been requesting to eat delicious scones, and finally got this one. It's from Bakers Gonna Bake at Tokyo Gift Palette in Tokyo Station. The scone has a great buttery aroma from the moment you open it. The scone dough is crispy and fluffy, with a delicious buttery and wheat flavor. It's moist and not dry at all. The French fermented butter and Hokkaido Dainagon red bean filling is generous and perfectly balanced. The butter has a hint of saltiness and a mild texture, complementing the slightly sweet red bean. It's so delicious that I finished it right away. This scone is simple yet packed with flavor, showcasing the best of its ingredients. I realized once again how much I love scones, not just carrot cake. I would love to explore more delicious scone shops. Thank you for the meal.

"There's a delicious scone shop at Tokyo Station!" My scone-loving friend brought me a souvenir from this shop, leading to my first encounter with it. The shop has a variety of tasty scones on display, including regular items, limited edition products, and seasonal treats. Every visit brings the excitement of discovering new items, making it hard to choose just one. On this day, the limited edition item was Honeycomb Toffee Scone (380 yen). The new items included Lemon Scone (380 yen), Akita Komachi Rice Flour Scone (330 yen), and Lemon Cake (280 yen). My favorite set is the Scone & Drink Set for 500 yen, where you can choose a scone with a drink for just one coin. I chose the English Fruit Scone, filled with orange peel, raisins, and nuts, and had it warmed up in the oven. I also ordered an Iced Cafe Latte, which comes in a generous size. The shop offers a loyalty card where you get a stamp for each drink purchased. Collect 5 stamps for a free hot coffee, and 10 stamps for any drink of your choice. It was delicious, thank you. I will definitely visit again!"

When it comes to scones, I really like the ones here! Whether it's the regular, whole wheat, or chocolate chip, they are all delicious. You can buy them online, but they come frozen, so it's best to enjoy them fresh from the store.

I purchased an anko butter sandwich and a butter milk whole wheat pastry from "Taiyaki Wakaba" in Yotsuya, which is available for a limited time. The anko butter sandwich was made using a butter milk scone and was very filling! Just one of these and a cafe au lait would be a meal. The whole wheat pastry was crispy, with a strong crunch, and the butter milk added a moist and crumbly texture.

An butter is okay, it's definitely red bean paste and butter, right? The fruit mix was whatever. The black tea and orange peel one had a too subtle flavor, so I wouldn't recommend it. The butter milk was the safest choice, but maybe a bit too sweet. The blueberry jam and whipped cream didn't stand out much. The price was decent, but overall disappointing.

Recently, Yaesu has been rapidly developing with a variety of food and beverage outlets opening. A cool leafy sign catches my eye in the passageway of Tokyo Station. It reads "Taiyaki Wakaba!" I approach with the hope of being able to buy taiyaki here without having to go all the way to Yotsuya. However, it turns out they are not selling taiyaki, but a collaboration between the scone shop "Bakers Gonna Bake" and Wakaba. And it's only available for a limited time. Being someone who likes trying new things, I decided to buy one. However, even though the scone is of high specialty, it's quite expensive, exceeding 500 yen. Considering the rising cost of ingredients and labor, it makes sense. The combination of anko and butter is common, but the high-quality butter sandwiched in between made it delicious. The anko wasn't overly sweet either. Would I buy it for myself again? Maybe not, but as a trendy souvenir, it's worth considering. I later found out that it's produced by Sazaby League, which also runs afternoon tea services, so the taste of the scone was understandable.

Limited time offer: WAKABA's red bean paste-filled An Butter Scone
The scone itself is delicious. It has a moist texture with a buttery taste that I love! When paired with the An Butter, it becomes even more delicious. The butter is refreshing without being too rich. The red bean paste is delicious ✨ I didn't expect An Butter to go so well with scones, but now I'm hooked. I definitely want to go buy it again. Thank you for the meal!

I tried the scones at Wakaba no Anbata. The scones were crispy on the outside, filled with plenty of red bean paste and butter! The butter was creamy but not overpowering, making it easy to eat. It was delicious!! I also tried the regular scones, which were moist and had chunky fillings, and they were also very tasty. Each scone costs 500 yen. I also bought the Butter Milk Chocolate Dry Fruit scones for takeout (as a gift). I bought a total of 10 scones, so the total amount came to 3,410 yen, which is quite pricey like a cake (lol). They were so delicious that I will definitely buy them for myself again!

The cherry blossoms have fallen, haven't they? Did you go flower viewing? I could only go to Kuritomo for a short time. Next year, I should prioritize going to see the flowers rather than just eating (huh?). C-san had already done flower viewing here, so I also went to Kuritomo. I've only reviewed it twice, but it's my favorite place, so I'll go a few more times. I was looking forward to this time as well.
* Cherry blossom red bean and strawberry butter sandwich
There's a lot of words in the name of the product. It's a bit difficult to take a bite with the shiratama in the scone, but I don't mind that. There was a salted cherry blossom on top of the shiratama. The pink of the cherry blossom red bean and strawberry butter is cute.
* Strawberry scone sandwich with pistachio and mixed berries
This one is also long. The pink scone is spring-like, and I thought about taking a picture with the flower-viewing scone, but I somehow forgot. The pistachio cream adds a pop of color to the pink. The honeycomb toffee scone, which is limited in quantity, is always there, but sometimes it gets sold out quickly. It depends on the day. The scones are moist and delicious, and they look cute. I won't review them anymore (firmly laughing), but I'll still go to buy the seasonal scones because I'm looking forward to them.

I happened to pass by and it looked delicious, so I couldn't resist buying it haha. There were many varieties, and although the normal scones looked delicious, I ended up buying the an butter and pistachio berry sauce one, which is what you would call an Instagram-worthy item. Both were really delicious! They are more like a meal than a dessert because they are quite filling. And at around 400 yen each, the price is just right! Thank you for the meal!

I saw Baker's Gonna Bake's scones on Instagram and wanted to try them. They had many varieties, but I ended up buying the simple buttermilk scone and the Sakura An Butter scone sandwich with cherry blossom and strawberry butter. I warmed up the buttermilk scone before eating it, and it was delicious. The Sakura scone was also very tasty. I would like to try other varieties in the future.

A scone shop located in Tokyo Station. I received these from a friend and they were so cute that I had to look up where they were from, and it turns out it's a shop right near the north exit! I remember passing by it often, noticing the nice smell coming from the small shop where they bake the scones. There were always many scones lined up and they looked delicious. This time, my friend bought me seasonal scone sandwiches, both of which were so cute and almost too cute to eat! Haha. There was a "Cherry Blossom Viewing" red bean butter sandwich and a strawberry scone sandwich with pistachio cream and mixed berry jam. The "Cherry Blossom Viewing" sandwich had cherry blossom red bean and strawberry butter sandwiched between crispy and crumbly scones, with mochi balls inside, and the visual was just too cute! It was a bit difficult to eat, but it really allowed you to taste the cherry blossoms. And the strawberry scone sandwich with pistachio cream and mixed berry jam was delicious too. There's no way strawberries and pistachios don't go well together! Both were delicious, and since they were a gift from my gourmet friend, I happily finished them on my own! Next time, I'll definitely go buy some for myself.

- Cherry Blossom Scone Sandwich with Cherry Blossom Paste & Strawberry Butter ¥420
- Honeycomb Toffee Scone ¥360
There is a scone specialty shop at Tokyo Station where you can choose from a wide variety of scones to suit your taste. Since it is located outside the ticket gates, even people coming from outside can purchase them. The toffee scone has a caramel-like taste. The scone sandwich is a fun treat for hanami (cherry blossom viewing) with a mix of Western scone and Japanese flavors. Thank you for the meal!

Seasonal scones are so cute and fun at this shop. I bought the spring scones.
- Cherry blossom red bean butter scone sandwich 420 yen (Cherry blossom red bean & strawberry butter)
- Strawberry scone sandwich 390 yen (Pistachio & mixed berries)
The product names are long, but they look great, making them perfect gifts for girls. My daughter also looks forward to the seasonal scones. I tend to choose the limited edition ones, but the plain scones are also delicious. I personally preferred the cherry blossom red bean one. But having shiratama (rice flour dumplings) on scones is amazing, right?
