Teppanyaki restaurants may seem a bit intimidating, but this Osaka-style teppanyaki okonomiyaki restaurant, Encho Style, is more casual. I went for a dinner meeting with my senior colleague, with a 6500 yen course that includes all-you-can-drink. We started with a toast with beer in front of the teppan counter. The appetizers included yamakake tofu, Japanese-style salad, special takoyaki, and sake-steamed honbinosu clams. They were all delicious, especially the takoyaki. The drinks were great too, with a refreshing soda mixed with rice shochu. The grilled squid was light and easy to eat, while the wagyu beef steak was tender and flavorful. The mini okonomiyaki was the highlight, perfectly cooked and topped with delicious sauce. The garlic fried rice was a satisfying end to the meal. The hot teppan and good food made for a lively and enjoyable dining experience. Overall, a great meal and great company.

Iidabashi Station is a 5.6-minute walk away. A hidden old house teppanyaki restaurant in the back alley. The atmosphere looks amazing from the outside. It reminds me of Kagurazaka. Teppanyaki usually gives off a high-class image, but this place offers Osaka-style teppanyaki, where they serve okonomiyaki. The chef is dressed in a T-shirt, not a traditional chef's outfit, making it a casual dining experience. The interior is dimly lit, with a cozy atmosphere. There are counter seats, private rooms, and even seating on the second floor. For a date, I recommend sitting at the counter. You can enjoy watching the food being cooked right in front of you. Today, I tried the Ashikaga beef diced steak course for 4980 yen. I added a 2000 yen all-you-can-drink option. They don't have sparkling wine, but they offer a good selection of other drinks. The course started with a surprising appetizer of ikura and crab ankake tamago. It's a luxurious dish to have in a course menu. The tamago was fluffy and delicious. They also served a special green salad with sesame dressing and a mountain-style grated tofu with grated yam. The octopus balls came in two flavors, sauce and soy sauce, and were moist and juicy. The sasae (turban shell) pot dish and sea urchin with cress were both amazing. The Ashikaga beef diced steak was juicy and flavorful. The okonomiyaki at the end was a perfect finish to the meal. Overall, this place offers great value for money, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely visit again soon!

The taste is amazing!! Everything I ordered was delicious, I want to try the whole menu. The appetizers were already like main dishes and I loved it from that moment. The thick pork loin steak in the tonpei-yaki was amazing - I've never seen such a hearty dish before. Of course, it was delicious. The cozy restaurant had a great atmosphere with dim lighting, friendly service, delicious food, good portion sizes, and yet it was much more affordable than other teppanyaki restaurants. The cost performance is excellent. I am extremely satisfied. I want to go again!!!

On Friday night, we made a reservation and arrived at around 7:30 pm with a group of 5 people at a restaurant in Kagurazaka. It is known for serving reasonably priced and delicious meat and teppanyaki dishes. We opted for the course menu for 5 people. We started with chawanmushi, followed by salad, tofu, takoyaki, sazae, meat, okonomiyaki, garlic rice as the finale, and ice cream for dessert. Everything served was truly delicious without any exaggeration. The attention to detail in the dishes and the tasty drinks were impressive. Most importantly, the meat, especially the diced steak, was juicy and delicious! The restaurant has a few counter seats and two tables for the first seating, and four table seats for the second seating, so it seems to fill up quickly without a reservation. It's a great place in Kagurazaka where you can enjoy delicious food in a private setting. Just be mindful that the last order is at 10:30, so keep that in mind.

Having dinner with a junior colleague who is back in town from Milan. We decided on teppanyaki since they were open to anything other than Italian cuisine. Ended up in Kagurazaka, where the quaint atmosphere always wins me over. The restaurant was small and cozy, and they were very accommodating to specific requests like no garlic. The okonomiyaki and takoyaki were especially delicious, and the cost performance was amazing.

Kagurazaka is a cozy restaurant renovated from an old folk house that serves teppanyaki dinners. The cost performance of the course was excellent. I enjoyed every dish from start to finish and they were all delicious. I had the "Ashikaga beef dice steak course with 2.5-hour all-you-can-drink" for 7,000 yen, which included dishes like ikura and crab ankake steamed egg, green salad, mountain-style oboro tofu, special takoyaki, escargot-style sazae, sea urchin cress, Ashikaga beef dice steak, okonomiyaki, garlic rice, and mango sherbet. The takoyaki and okonomiyaki were unique and tasty. With this much food for this price, and a wide variety of drinks included in the all-you-can-drink menu, I definitely want to try other dishes next time. I will definitely be coming back again.

The restaurant was fully booked for the 19:30 reservation slot. It was a bustling place where those without reservations couldn't get in and had to leave. I booked a course meal, and they cooked the dishes right in front of us, so we could enjoy watching while waiting. The food was delicious! I had a great time for about 2 hours.

I made a dinner reservation on a weekday and it was a must because the restaurant was fully booked. It was a teppanyaki restaurant located inside a house and it was very stylish. I ordered the fillet steak course. It took about 2 and a half hours.

My family visited this restaurant after hearing good things about it. The food was delicious, but on the salty side, more suited for drinkers. The lemon sour was terrible. The noise level from other tables was too loud and unpleasant. I wonder if it was because we were seated on the second floor. Maybe it would have been quieter on the first floor where there are only counter seats. The food was good but took a while to arrive. Overall, I would give this place this score. I would prefer to sit at the counter next time.

This is my second visit. This time we sat on the second floor. The food was delicious, and ordering drinks with the all-you-can-drink option using a tablet was convenient and quick. The okonomiyaki, aged meat, garlic rice, and dessert were all amazing, although I forgot to take photos. The meat dishes were definitely the best! My friends who came with me were also satisfied. I will visit again. Thank you very much. I highly recommend this restaurant. The seating on the second floor is separated into individual sections, making it easy to have conversations. The first floor can be a bit noisy, but the atmosphere is nice. For a date, sitting at the counter is recommended.

I used this restaurant for a date with my partner. We walked up the slope from Iidabashi Station towards Kagurazaka Station, turned right into a narrow alley, and found an old folk house a bit further inside on the left. There were more shops along the alley than expected, giving off a charming vibe, although not quite the typical Kagurazaka atmosphere. The old folk house was renovated in a way that didn't feel too old-fashioned. It was reasonably clean. The sink in the restroom might be a bit confusing as it is located behind the toilet, but rest assured, it is clean. The floor looked a bit old with its exposed concrete, but it was well maintained. We initially booked a course menu but changed to a la carte the day before due to being on a diet and my partner having a small appetite. It was convenient that we could change the reservation last minute. When we visited, the staff smoothly switched our reservation to a la carte without any issues. We enjoyed sirloin steak, garlic rice, takoyaki, tomato and myoga salad, along with 4-5 beers and highballs. Everything was delicious, but the steak was the highlight. It was cooked rare, tender, and easy to eat. There was a table near the entrance with lattice screens that could accommodate up to 8 people, making it suitable for casual gatherings with business partners.

I sometimes use this restaurant. The lighting inside is just right and stylish. There are many different dishes, all of which are delicious. The food is cooked right in front of you on a hot plate, making it visually appealing and appetizing. It's not just about the taste, but also about the visual experience.

I visited this restaurant for a course meal at the counter seats. I have been here a few times for a la carte, but this time I decided to try the course menu because you get to taste a variety of dishes. The taste is great, the service is excellent, and the portion sizes and timing of the dishes being served are just right. The counter seats are perfect for a date night! It's always crowded, so it's better to make a reservation before going. Considering the location and atmosphere, I think the cost performance is good. Although I feel like the drink menu is a bit lacking, I still love this place.

In Kagurazaka, there is a cozy teppanyaki restaurant with a casual atmosphere that can be used for business entertainment. We ordered the standard course this time, and every dish was delicious. What's more, it comes with all-you-can-drink option, which is rare for teppanyaki restaurants. If you want to eat beef, you may need to upgrade the grade, but the standard course is enjoyable enough. They even serve okonomiyaki and takoyaki, which is a pleasant surprise. It's a popular restaurant, so it's recommended to make a reservation. Be sure to give it a try. Thank you for the meal.

Every year for Valentine's Day, I choose and make a reservation at a restaurant. This year, I was looking for a place to go and I found it. Last year, I went to Rodeo in Shibuya and the food and atmosphere were good, but the cost performance was so-so. This year, I wanted to find a place with good cost performance, so I made a reservation. The restaurant looks stylish and the entrance gives off a high-end vibe. We had dishes like grated yam, potato salad, potato with cheese in Bolognese style, sazae (turban shell) cooked in a pot, lamp steak, and yakisoba. We also had 3-4 drinks each and the total bill for two people was 10,000 yen. It was a pleasant surprise. Everything was delicious, but the crab and shirako (milt) chawanmushi (savory egg custard) that came as a complimentary dish was especially tasty. I definitely want to visit this place again.

I made sure to make a reservation this time after failing to get in last time by just walking in. When I arrived, I saw a row of reserved seat plates at the counter. Although I was interested in the course menu, I decided to order a la carte this time because there were so many dishes I liked. - Uni and Watercress: A must-order dish. The watercress is not too bitter and easy to eat, with plenty of sea urchin on top. - Pan-Seared Scallops: Large and impressive scallops that tasted exactly as I imagined - incredibly delicious. - Beef Tendon: Fluffy and easy for kids to enjoy. Goes well with grated daikon radish and seaweed. - Butter Sauteed Squid: Even softer than I expected, with no chewy parts. - Garlic Fried Rice: A generous portion with a strong garlic aroma that makes it easy to finish. - Avocado and Cod Roe Tartare: Ordered this early on and it was quite satisfying on its own, pairing well with drinks. - Steamed Egg Custard with Shirako and Crab Sauce: Served as a complimentary dish, the shirako is creamy and delicious. - Cheese Baked with Shiso: Looks simple but tastes delicious, with a subtle shiso flavor. Every dish had a generous portion size, leaving me completely satisfied. The high cost performance of this popular restaurant is understandable. I want to try all the dishes and maybe even the course menu next time.

We visited the year-end party with the usual members. The course included all-you-can-drink for 8,000 yen, which is a reasonable price. The restaurant was full due to the year-end party season. The cleanliness inside the restaurant was a bit lacking, with items placed on top of the shelves being a bit disappointing. The dishes were okay but the portion was a bit small. Overall, I may not come back again.

The atmosphere is nice. Among the many luxury teppanyaki restaurants, this place is affordable, well-located, and has a casual vibe which is great. I recommend it for young couples. The appetizer of somen noodles with salmon and salmon roe was a bit mysterious. The salad, simmered omelette, and meat were delicious. We enjoyed it with beer and shochu.

Tokyo Metro Iidabashi Station B3 Exit, walk 100m up Kagurazaka, and you will find it 50m down Kagurazaka Nakadori. It's a bit hidden and quietly standing without being too conspicuous. Inside the restaurant, there are counter seats facing a large teppanyaki grill, table seats, and private rooms. They offer high-quality teppanyaki dishes in easily understandable course menus, making it a reliable choice. - Ashigara Beef Sirloin Steak Course (June 29, 2022) A course with 10 dishes and a 2-hour all-you-can-drink option. - Today's Appetizer A cold chawanmushi with edamame mousse on top, offering a delightful flavor that sets the expectations for the rest of the dishes. - Salad A salad with assorted lettuce, watercress, cucumber, and paprika, dressed with sesame dressing and sprinkled with chopped seaweed. - Yuba Tofu with Grated Yam Freshly made yuba tofu from a tofu shop in Kagurazaka, served with grated yam seasoned with dashi soy sauce. The rich taste of the soybeans and the flavorful yam blend perfectly. - Special Takoyaki Takoyaki freshly grilled in the kitchen, served with two types of sauce (regular and soy). The soft and creamy texture of the hot takoyaki is simply delicious. - Giant Honbinosu Clam Steamed in Sake A large and plump honbinosu clam steamed to perfection, offering a satisfying texture and a flavorful broth at the bottom of the dish. - Butter Sauteed Squid Squid sautéed on the teppan with butter, providing a delightful flavor and a tender yet chewy texture. - Ashikaga Beef Sirloin Steak A lean and firm-textured steak with just the right amount of fat, cooked to perfection with juices overflowing with each bite. Served with ponzu sauce to enhance the flavor of the Ashikaga beef. - Mini Okonomiyaki A small-sized okonomiyaki with a thick and crispy texture, topped with a savory sauce that entices the appetite. - Garlic Fried Rice Fried rice with shimeji mushrooms, ham, and onions cooked skillfully on the teppan, infused with a strong garlic aroma that enhances the overall flavor. - Dessert Strawberry sherbet with fruit pulp that adds a delicious touch. A dessert that allows you to savor the natural sweetness of strawberries. Enjoy the live kitchen experience of teppanyaki at the counter, where you can visually appreciate the deliciousness of the dishes. Bon appétit.

Charming izakaya with a variety of menu options. Garlic toast with crunchy pickled yam in plum vinegar was delicious and something I'd like to try making at home. Avocado mentaiko tartare was different from what I imagined, with a strong egg flavor. Radio-yaki with beef tendon was simply delicious. Bolognese cheese teppanyaki with plenty of cheese was like a pizza and highly recommended. Snow-aged pork was tender but nothing special. Grilled seasonal corn, French toast for dessert were both good. Next time, I'd like to try the okonomiyaki. It's understandable that there aren't many raw options since it's teppanyaki, but personally, I'd like to see more raw dishes on the menu.

I visited the restaurant early at the end of the year. It's a place I've been to a few times before. This day, I ordered the all-you-can-drink course (6500 yen). It's quite reasonable if you don't include wine bottles or anything special. There are many types of alcohol available, so it's recommended for a different drinking experience. - Today's appetizer (mentaiko cream mousse) The cream was smooth and the salty flavor of mentaiko was delicious. - Chef's salad (watercress Japanese-style salad) The watercress was crunchy. Watercress in winter might be delicious. - Yama-kake oboro tofu The yama-kake was delicious. I prefer a stronger broth, though. - Special octopus takoyaki The recommended dish of the restaurant. I was starting to get full and couldn't finish it. - Honbinosu clam sake steamed I preferred clams over this. The meat was a bit tough and had a slightly fishy smell. But considering the price and presentation, I can understand choosing Honbinosu. - Squid butter sauté Seasoned only with lemon. Compared to the sake-steamed dish, this one felt a bit bland. - Ashikaga beef sirloin steak It was tender and delicious! The presentation was also very nice! - Small okonomiyaki Yes, this is the specialty. At this point, I was too full to eat more. - Garlic rice I had to cancel it because I was too full. - Dessert I had to cancel this too because I was too full. Sitting at the teppanyaki counter creates a great atmosphere. I recommend getting those seats. For a large group, you'll be seated on the second floor for banquets. The quality of alcohol in the all-you-can-drink menu is good. It was a bit crowded, so the drink service was a bit slow, which was unfortunate. The food is delicious, but it's better not to eat too much in the first half. You'll be full by the time you get to the main meat dish. LOL. Thank you for the meal.
