The shops at Ginza Matsuya allow you to choose both the box and the cookies inside, which is great. I chose almond cookies for a perfect midsummer greeting. Almond cookies are easy to eat even for toddlers, and the box is cute, so it will be well received.

In Ginza Matsuya, Nishikotei offers original packaging for both the box and cookies. I had them pack almond and macadamia cookies in boxes with no words, featuring piano, ballet, and hydrangea designs. I got them as souvenirs for each of the children, and they seemed to enjoy the delicious cookies.

A cute cookie in a box with a message. There are only a few cookies inside, but I guess the box is the main point. I bought it as a gift for a friend when I went shopping. It was a Halloween-themed box and cost 648 yen, I think. It contained 4 Sakuhoro cookies.

I visited Ginza Matsuya in search of a farewell gift snack that cannot be bought in Nagoya. At this shop, you can choose the type of snack, as well as the picture and words on the package. I chose hazelnut cookies with a message saying "Thank you for your hard work." I enjoyed selecting the cute box and message.

First visit 202011 (No.2188) This shop started as a European-style home cooking restaurant opened in Yoyogi-Uehara in 1982 (Showa 57), but one of the menu items, handmade sweets, became so popular that the restaurant could no longer operate due to the overwhelming orders featured on TV and magazines, so it switched to a sweets specialty store! I have reviewed several shops with this kind of success story before, it's a common success pattern, isn't it? (laughs) The operation is handled by "Santa Ne Co., Ltd.", and they currently operate 9 stores mainly in department store basements, but it seems like they make more sales through mail order. The package has a squirrel illustration that looks like it was drawn by a skilled elementary school student, and it includes messages suitable for wedding gifts or birth congratulations. Walnut cookies 1296 yen This is their most popular item, so I purchased the above product! It is a crispy cookie with walnuts. The package contains 100g (12 pieces) at the price mentioned above, so is it because of the packaging or is the product really delicious? Thank you for the meal.

At Matsuya Ginza store, you can freely choose the cute box and the type of cookies to put inside. I wanted to give this to a female colleague who is transferring, so I made my selection here. The box says "Thank you for everything." I chose hazelnut flavor for the inside. In Nagoya, there are also cookies coated with sweet powdered sugar that you can't choose. I had a fun time choosing at Matsuya Ginza store.

When you receive a small gift or are treated by someone more senior, this is the perfect gift that won't make them feel obligated! Nishikotei is really user-friendly... I've lost count of how many times I've chosen it as a gift. And I've received it so many times as well. The cute animal packaging with a message is something I wouldn't buy for myself, but I'd be happy to receive it. The cookies inside are delicious too. There are several messages like "thank you" and "congratulations". There are also a lot of designs to choose from! It's fun to pick one out. When you think about it rationally, the cost of the box is probably quite high (lol). I think I'll continue to use it from time to time.

Located in the basement of Ginza Matsuya, this shop offers incredibly cute packaging that is perfect for occasions like weddings, gratitude, Father's Day, Mother's Day, or as a Tokyo souvenir. The illustrations and messages are original and very cute, making it a highly appreciated gift. The cookies inside have a gentle flavor. While the cost performance may not be the best, it is a great product for gifts that will be well received. Cookie box for 1200 yen.

⚐Saikotei☑︎Milk Jelly ¥389 I was excited to try this milk jelly because I was curious if it would be refreshing or rich. With the first bite, I found it to be as rich as a blancmange. It was thick and lacked the expected lightness of a jelly. The dessert had a firm texture with a strong milk flavor but was not overly sweet. While this shop is known for its cookies, I personally recommend trying their jelly as well!

The walnut chocolate was delicious, but it had a lot of powdered sugar on it which made me concerned about giving it to toddlers. It seemed more like a treat for adults. The hazelnut cookies were easy to eat and tasty, so I chose hazelnut this time. It's great that you can choose the packaging from all of them. I picked the Tokyo Station version.

I am constantly using these cookies as a small gift. Nishikotei is famous for their squirrel-themed packaging. They have a wide variety of packaging options that can be used for various occasions. The small box is around 600 yen, while the large box is 1296 yen. Although the cookies are a bit expensive, the price for gift-giving is reasonable. They are delicious as well. I think I will continue to buy from this shop whenever I need to give a gift in the future.

I purchased chocolate walnut cookies as a souvenir for 1296 yen. The box features a cute squirrel illustration and the words "Thank you always." The box with a message is famous. It is perfect for conveying a message to someone who has taken care of you. It can give a sense of relaxation as a gift.

I also like cute boxes and wrapping paper. I wanted to buy the box here. When I actually went to the store, all the box designs were cute, and I had a hard time choosing. I thought maybe the most ordinary one would be good, so I chose this one. The walnut cookies inside are similar to the snowballs I make, but of course, these are made by professionals so they are smaller and more refined. They are buried in plenty of powdered sugar. I appreciate the simple ingredients, but it feels like there is a little bit of candy in a box about 10cm x 14cm.

Well, this squirrel-shaped box has been around for a while and is quite cute. However, the price is a bit high for its size. It's like paying for the squirrel box itself. It recently even appeared on the menu at Saizeriya (laughs). I always collect the walnut cookies in the choice box.

Located on the basement floor of Matsuya Ginza, this is a branch of "Saikotei," a cookie shop known for its cute squirrel illustrations on the boxes. The cookies were featured on the TV show "Matsuko no Shiranai Sekai." The illustrations on the boxes are actually stickers, but you can mix and match them with the cookies inside, which is a nice touch. The adorable illustrations have various messages, making it easy to convey your feelings to the recipient. While the sign says "walnut cookies," they can be a bit hard to eat. I recommend the almond, pine nut, and mandarin orange cookies packed in boxes with messages like "congratulations," "thank you," and "looking forward to working with you." The taste of the cookies is decent, but they make for great gifts. The boxes come in red and green only, and if you opt for the paid gift wrapping option, there is no wrapping paper, just a decorative paper.
