I visited Odakyu OX in front of Komae Station after a long time to buy ingredients for making snacks. The snacks I chose happened to be all from the Odakyu OX brand. The peanut chocolate was individually wrapped in bite-sized pieces, with a nice crunchy texture from the large peanuts. The bread was surprisingly delicious and fluffy. I recommend topping it with salty, melting cheese and chocolate.

This is the food floor of a supermarket located on the basement floor of the Odakyu OX building in front of Komae Station on the Odakyu Line. It is a typical supermarket food section. Odakyu OX is a supermarket owned by the Odakyu Group located at major stations along the Odakyu Line. The selection and prices at railway-related supermarkets like this one are not very impressive in my opinion. Keio Store, Tokyu Store, and Sotetsu Rosen are all similar in that aspect. Anyway, since I was already at Komae Station, I decided to check out this food floor for something to eat for dinner. Even though it was already past 9 pm, the store was quite empty. I wanted to buy a bento box, but there were only a few left, so I ended up getting this Chinese bento set. There was a part-time staff member putting half-price stickers on items. Some customers were eagerly looking for discounted items like hyenas. Among them, I just thought, "Whatever, I'll just get this," and made my purchase. It was a Stir-Fried Chinese Fried Rice & Gyoza Spring Roll Set priced at 398 yen, but discounted to 299 yen. Obviously, it wasn't actually stir-fried in a wok. The supermarket's product name is just for "image" purposes. They have an electric fried rice making machine (official name unknown), which is like a compact version of a concrete mixer, where they put in white rice, eggs, char siu, and oil, heat it up, and mix it to make fried rice. It's a commercial kitchen appliance. The fried rice was very oily, the gyoza was a cheap frozen product and was dry, and the spring roll was even oilier. Would I go back? Of course, I would. It's just a regular supermarket for everyday use, so it's fine.

Located right next to Komae Station, there is a supermarket called Odakyu OX. They offer a variety of bento boxes to choose from based on your mood, called "Choice Bento". I decided to try the one with hamburg, chicken with cheese, and charcoal-grilled chicken as the main dishes, which turned out to be quite meaty. The taste was neither particularly good nor bad, just average. However, the rice at the bottom was surprisingly delicious. It's hard to say if it's worth over 500 yen, but it did fill me up.
