After enjoying fish and sake at "Maihama," we decided to continue drinking and headed towards Ginza. Along the way, we stumbled upon "Bar Shake" and decided to check it out. Located on the basement floor of a building on a side street east of Corridor Street, the bar had a welcoming atmosphere with a long counter, a back bar, and a master bartender along with a female bartender. We managed to secure seats at the counter, which had just three available spots. I always like to start off at a new bar with a cocktail, and this time was no exception. I ordered the Gibson as my first cocktail, which was made with Beefeater gin. The master bartender skillfully prepared it with a touch of elegance, and it was perfect in both appearance and taste. Next, I tried the Martini, also made with Beefeater gin, but this time stirred. It had a sharp and dry taste with a hint of sweetness from the vermouth. It was clear that this was a high-level bar. After two cocktails, I switched to Highland Park 10-year single malt whisky, which had a delightful aroma and taste. For my final drink, I decided to try Dewar's 18-year on the rocks, as I noticed the bottles of Dewar's 12, 15, and 18-year on the counter. Despite not being familiar with Dewar's, I found the 18-year to be delicious with a mature sweetness. The bar had an impressive selection, and it was later revealed that the master bartender had previously worked at well-known bars. The total bill for three people was around 18,000 yen. It was a fantastic experience!

Today I went on a solo trip to a Ginza izakaya. Due to alcohol restrictions, telecommuting, and shortened alcohol serving hours, the opportunities to visit bars in Ginza have drastically decreased. Everything feels like a long time since I last visited. With no events and no chances to meet, it's easy to fade away, but I wanted to at least say hello, so I went to the counter at "BarShake." I ordered a Campari soda. It's been a while since I had Furuichi-san's Campari soda. Even though I try to make it at home, it never quite reaches this level. It's the same Campari, but somehow... I also wanted to say goodbye to Ikegami-san, who is embarking on a new journey. He has steadily climbed the ranks in national competitions. Finally, I asked for a short cocktail. It's my favorite cocktail, a Gimlet. The perfectly shaken Gimlet is beautifully rounded and irresistibly delicious. It was nice to be able to say goodbye in the end. Thank you for everything! "BarShake" Ginza Nishi Shichikaikan B1F, 7-3-15 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. Open Monday to Friday 6:00 pm to 3:00 am, Saturday 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Closed on Sundays and holidays.

The cocktails with Campari at this bar were delicious. The colorful Campari was very beautiful! There are many wonderful bars in Ginza, but this one is also incredibly charming. The bartender is friendly, so you can enjoy without feeling intimidated! They also make various seasonal cocktails, which is great for women too! This was a post while organizing past logs.

Today I went on a solo trip to a Ginza izakaya. I travel frequently for work, so when I'm in Tokyo, my days are mostly spent at the gym. It's been quite a while since I last visited a bar in Ginza, so I decided to stop by "BarShake." I started off with a Campari soda, expertly made by Mr. Furutachi. The quiche served as an appetizer was delicious. We talked about sports while I enjoyed my drink. Mr. Furutachi, who participates in marathons and climbs Mount Fuji, is an admirable bartender. As I sipped my drink, I felt a bit ashamed of myself for not being as active. Hopefully, I'll find the joy in running again someday. I ended the night with a Margarita, a cocktail I'm currently studying. The bartender's shaking technique was spot on, and the drink was delicious. Since I'm already here, I'll continue my journey through Ginza a little longer. Thank you for the wonderful meal! "BarShake" located at B1F, Ginza Nishi Shichikaikan, 7-3-15, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. Open Monday to Friday from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM, Saturday from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Closed on Sundays and holidays.

There was a rare whiskey available at the bar, the ICHIRO's Malt 2000 Pre-Molt from Chichibu. The price was not clear, but the bartender served two glasses for over 10,000 yen per person. The bar had an old-fashioned charm, but was stylish.

This bar in Ginza is relatively easy to enter. I had a long cocktail here. I was able to enjoy slowly tipping my glass at the counter.

This is my second visit. I was happy to be able to talk to Mr. Furutachi this time, as he was off last time. This month's cocktail "Maria" is vodka-based with banana liqueur and lime. It is inspired by an emerald green dress. I might watch "The Sound of Music" with my son, who is currently into musicals, after renting the DVD.

On November 24, 2017, after enjoying delicious food and drinks, we decided to visit another bar called "Bar Shake" with two people. Located in Ginza 7-chome, on Hanatsubaki Street, this underground bar was opened by bartender Furuta Tsuchi, who previously worked at Shiseido Parlour and Bar Loogie. The bar has a calm and cozy atmosphere typical of authentic bars in Ginza, where you can relax and enjoy drinks without feeling too formal. The bar has an L-shaped counter and one table for four people. I was planning to order my usual Gimlet, but my companion ordered a "Singapore Sling Raffles Ver." so I decided to try the "Normal Ver." instead. It was my first time having a Singapore Sling since I last had one at the Long Bar in Raffles Hotel. The Singapore Sling was easy to drink and just right for someone looking to get a little tipsy. The cover charge was reasonable at 1000 yen, and we were served a delicious charm of quiche and meat pie. The meat pie was especially tasty with its crispy buttery pastry filled with plenty of minced meat sauce. Even though I was already full, I wanted to order more of it! We also had a Johnny Walker on the side. The Singapore Sling Raffles Ver. was fruitier compared to the Normal Ver. Finally, I got to enjoy my Gimlet, which was absolutely delicious as always. It was getting late, so we decided to call it a night. Thank you for the meal.

"Shiseido Parlor" to "Roogie", and then independence. Just like Kazuo Ueda, bartender Furuta Tsuchi shows off his hard shake skills. The gimlet is exquisite. The Campari soda is a specialty in long drinks. I learned that the simpler the cocktail, the more difficult it is, with this drink. Another female bartender, Ms. Ikegami, also continues to grow and has quite the skills. There are sofa seats in the back, but the main focus is the counter. You need the courage to enter the Marugen 21 Building and a love for alcohol to sit at the counter. What will you ask for today?

Today's solo izakaya adventure took me to Ginza. After drinking in Akasaka, I hopped on the Ginza Line to head to my final stop, Bar Shake. I sat at the counter and started with a refreshing Campari soda, which was absolutely delicious here. The complimentary dish was a quiche. It's been a while since I've been to Ike-chan in Osaka's Kitashinchi. I might try making a dish with the large amount of spinach that will be arriving soon. Let's finish with one of Ike-san's original cocktails. A delicious cocktail made by the beautiful bartender. It was a great solo izakaya adventure today. Thank you for the wonderful meal! "Bar Shake" Ginza Nishi-Nana Kaikan B1F, 7-3-15 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. Mon-Fri: 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM, Sat: 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM. Closed on Sundays and holidays.

I was taken to this wonderful bar by a company executive. It is located in Ginza, near Shinbashi Station, underground. The atmosphere is great and the master is very friendly, making it a place where adults can gather and have a good time. I tried the recommended Campari soda in a half size, and it was amazing. It felt like I had discovered the true taste of Campari soda. It's really delicious. I might end up coming here just to have Campari soda. They also have a variety of light meals like quiche, tonkatsu sandwich, and egg sandwich (advance ordering may be required). I was introduced to a wonderful restaurant here.
