Today, I was short on time with back-to-back meetings and preparations to do. So, I decided to lift my spirits by enjoying some delicious bread at Bank. As I walked in, I noticed the stylish ambiance and headed towards yen on the left. Feeling hungry, I was drawn to the sight of everyone enjoying their meals, and I found myself seated at the counter. I opted for the a la carte menu, feeling a bit nervous. The staff was highly knowledgeable and well-educated, impressing me with their detailed explanations of the dishes.
I ordered the a la carte lunch menu, which included:
- Couscous Salad (Carrot Rapé, Ricotta Cheese, Spiced Nuts)
- Basil Vichyssoise
- Main Course (Choice between Veal Belly Cream Stew with Hokkaido Corn Rice in a Pot or Swordfish and Olive Herb Lemon Pasta)
Dessert options were available at an additional cost, and drink options included tea, coffee, and rooibos tea for 500 yen each.
I anxiously waited for my food, capturing pictures of the cows in front of me. Finally, the dishes arrived:
- Couscous Salad: Light and refreshing with high-quality ingredients, a delightful combination of dressing, ricotta cheese, and nuts.
- Basil Vichyssoise: Delicious and something I wanted to savor slowly, but my eagerness got the best of me.
- Baguette: A bit cold as it wasn't freshly baked, with a hard exterior and a normal interior.
- Veal Belly Cream Stew: Elegant flavors, though I felt the need to enhance the taste with salt and pepper. The small potatoes were particularly tasty, and the veal belly was tender and flavorful.
Overall, the experience at Bank was a mix of rushed excitement and elegant dining, contrasting with the leisurely enjoyment of the other patrons around me.
