The taste, service, atmosphere of the restaurant, and the price - it's hard to find a place in Ginza that surpasses this one for lunch. Only available on weekdays, the Kakiage-don with large shrimp tempura is priced at 1000 yen including tax. You can even get a free extra serving. The Kakiage-don is packed with shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura, and a half-cooked egg, making it very filling. The runny yolk goes well with the rice. The sauce is sweet and rich, perfect for the rice. The authentic miso soup is also delicious, with plenty of seaweed and a hint of sansho pepper. To get all this at such a price in Ginza 4-chome is truly a blessing!

#Tempura Abe Ginza Honten #Lunch Menu #Tempura Set in the Heart of Ginza Found a place where you can have a reasonably priced tempura lunch in the middle of Ginza. Managed to make a reservation for 13:30 by calling on the same day in the morning! However, they only accept course reservations, so I had to go for the "Tempura Lunch" set. I was also interested in the popular "Lunch Kakiage Don" on weekdays, but since it was a Sunday, I settled for the course which came with a choice of mini kakiage tempura bowl or tempura tea. I arrived a bit early to stroll around Ginza, and just 5 minutes before my reservation time, I was already there. The elevator opened and I was faced with a line of customers... so glad I made a reservation! I managed to make my way through the line and was promptly seated at the counter. The small restaurant had only one 4-person table and the rest were counter seats. There was hardly any space to line up, so it would be quite a challenge without a reservation. The tempura dipping sauce was already prepared, but personally, I prefer to enjoy it with salt. One of my favorites was the scallop tempura wrapped in seaweed! It had a rare texture and the combination of seaweed and tempura was delicious. The kisu fish tempura was also light and tasty. The narrow passageway behind the counter was quite cramped, so there was a bit of a hectic atmosphere with the staff moving around, but overall, I was satisfied with the tempura experience as I hadn't had it in a while. #Tempura #TokyoGourmet #TokyoLunch #GinzaGourmet #GinzaLunch #TempuraLunch #CounterGourmet #CounterLunch #TempuraAbe #GinzaTempura #FriedandGrilled #TempuraTea #TempuraBowl #Kakiage

I went to Ginza Tempura Abe for an early lunch before noon. Luckily, I didn't have to wait in line and got a seat at the counter. Today, I ordered the kakiage lunch instead of tempura. The kakiage donburi was a large portion with vegetables and eggs, and it was delicious, filling, and reasonably priced. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely come back.

Before the lunchtime rush, there is always a long line, but the lack of space to wait and the cramped seating are a downside. The tempura is recommended over the tempura bowl, as they serve freshly fried tempura pieces individually, which is great in terms of cost performance. I visited with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. As it is a popular spot, we arrived about 15 minutes before opening. When we took the elevator down to the basement, we were immediately in the almost full restaurant, with no waiting area! There were already 4 people waiting in a space about half a tatami mat... we had to wait in the narrow aisle for a while. It can't be helped, but I wish there was a better system for this. However, about 5 minutes before opening time, they showed us to our seats. I ordered the tempura lunch for 1650 yen, and my friend ordered the tempura bowl for the same price. The tempura is fried right in front of you and served on a plate at your seat. I received about 2 pieces of tempura before my friend's tempura bowl arrived. The tempura lunch is a good deal, with slightly smaller shrimp due to the lower price, but you get 2 pieces and they are freshly fried, so it's a great value. It was delicious. They also provide dipping sauce and two types of salt to choose from. I initially thought the rice portion was small, but it was actually a decent amount, so I felt satisfied. Some female customers left some food. By the way, my friend's tempura bowl seemed to have less tempura and sauce compared to the amount of rice, so in the end, they just finished the rice with the sauce. My friend said they would recommend the tempura over the tempura bowl. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was casual and enjoyable, but waiting in that extremely narrow space was quite uncomfortable, so we will have to consider how to handle that next time we go. Overall, it was a satisfying meal!

I ordered the 8000 yen course and the chef fried tempura one after another. The timing was perfect. They didn't have clam in stock, so I switched to sea urchin tempura. It was my first time trying sea urchin tempura, and it was delicious with its rich and creamy taste. Thank you for the meal.

I enjoyed freshly fried crispy shrimp jaws, scallops wrapped in seaweed, baby corn, eggplant with shiitake mushrooms, myoga, and French Guérande salt and Himalayan salt for dipping. The eel was generously portioned and delicious when dipped in tempura dipping sauce. The finale of small shrimp tempura rice bowl was so tasty when mixed with the rich sauce! Finished off with fried taiyaki and iced coffee for complete satisfaction!

I visited without a reservation at 11:30 and was seated right away, but had to share a table. The counter was full of reserved customers. I ordered the Large Shrimp Tempura Donburi for 950 yen and the Tempura Lunch Set for 1500 yen. The lunch set comes with free rice refills, and you can ask for less rice and tempura sauce on the donburi. I recommend getting the donburi with less tempura sauce. It comes with two large shrimp, broccoli, seaweed, and shiitake mushrooms on top of rice. The rice was cooked perfectly and the miso soup had plenty of seaweed, making it delicious. Although there is no atmosphere for lingering, the tempura is cheap and tasty, making it worth recommending. If you're planning to get a course menu, it's possible to make a reservation for lunchtime, so I recommend doing so.

This is my second visit. The tempura set meal for 1500 yen included 2 shrimp, a small fish, seaweed, eggplant, broccoli, shiitake mushroom, and baby corn, providing a satisfying portion. In Ginza, this is a great value for money tempura restaurant. Even on a Saturday, you can go without a reservation and only have to wait a little bit.

I decided to have tempura for lunch in Ginza after a long time, and chose a restaurant. Later I found out that it was a restaurant that had been introduced by a celebrity on a certain TV show. The restaurant was located one floor below ground level, accessible by an elevator, and when I arrived around 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon, there was only one group waiting in line. However, more people started lining up afterwards, so I was lucky. I ordered the tendon rice bowl and tempura lunch set. The restaurant had about 10 counter seats and only one table, and I was seated at the table when a spot became available. Both the tendon rice bowl and tempura lunch set were generous in portion size, and the freshly fried tempura was crispy and delicious! The miso soup and pickles served as sides were also tasty. Next time, I would like to sit at the counter and enjoy each piece of freshly fried tempura one by one!

This place offers great value for money. I went with two colleagues after a training session nearby. The restaurant was full when we arrived, and the space at the counter was a bit tight. I had the tempura rice bowl, while the others had the shrimp tempura rice bowl. The tempura was crispy and the batter had a nice fragrance. The sauce was a bit on the soy sauce side, not too sweet. You can ask for extra sauce if needed, but I found it just right. The shrimp tempura rice bowl was also delicious, and we all agreed that for this price, the portion size was great. I noticed they had seasonal specials like cod roe tempura, so I'm looking forward to trying a different lunch next time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

On weekdays, you can only eat the lunch tempura rice bowl. You can enjoy it for a nice price of 1000 yen along with a large shrimp tempura rice bowl. The plum salt was delicious. Also, you can order additional tempura recommended for the day. The lunch rush is always busy, but the turnover is relaxed as there are many older customers ordering tempura set meals. This is just my personal impression from visiting a few times. The service from the waitress is efficient. It seems like tempura is meant to be enjoyed slowly. Credit card payment is accepted even for lunch. In addition to the counter seats, there are also tables for 5 people.

It had been a year since my last visit. I arrived on a weekday at 1:00 PM and only had to wait about 10 minutes before being seated at the counter. It must be tough to maintain a 1,000 yen lunch menu with the current inflation. The portions of tempura at Kanagawa Ten have become smaller, and the vegetable tempura felt a bit lacking. However, the pickles and miso soup were still delicious as ever. Thank you for the meal.

The journey to find the perfect tempura bowl continues. Today, we headed to Ginza. It was a busy weekend in Ginza, with long queues forming as we got off the elevator. The narrow passageway made waiting a bit uncomfortable, but the cool summer weather made it bearable. The operation at this restaurant was excellent, with orders taken promptly and food served as soon as we sat down. Most people were having the tempura bowl for 1500 yen, but we opted for the tempura lunch set for 3000 yen, which included an extra shrimp and scallop tempura, as well as a kakiage rice bowl at the end. It was a great deal considering the quality of the food. The tempura was delicate yet hearty, with a generous amount of batter that created a light and crispy texture. The staff were friendly and efficient, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.

Two large shrimp tempura and the young corn were especially delicious!! The seaweed tempura was also very tasty. The sauce had the perfect richness, it was worth the wait. I went around 2 PM on a weekend and waited in line for about 20 minutes.

I was curious about the 1000 yen lunch and finally went on a weekday! I started lining up around 11 o'clock. By 11:30, there were more than 10 people waiting. The turnover at the shop is fast. Despite the scorching heat, there are a lot of middle-aged ladies in pairs. The tempura bowl with broccoli and egg was very delicious. The sauce is quite sweet. It's a huge portion! I won't need dinner tonight! Haha, thank you for the meal!

After getting my hair cut at a beauty salon, I passed by a sign for tempura on my way to G6. I found a tempura restaurant on the basement floor, luckily got seated before 12 pm without having to wait in line. On weekdays, they have a 1000 yen lunch set, but on weekends it's around 1650 yen... I think. Still pretty affordable. I had the tempura lunch set. If you sit at the counter, they serve the tempura in two separate portions so you can enjoy it freshly fried. First, I had shrimp, kisu fish, and seaweed, followed by vegetable tempura. The tempura was light and not greasy, so you don't have to worry about feeling heavy afterwards (unlike some deep-fried foods from supermarkets). I really want people to enjoy the sweetness and aroma of the ingredients in tempura. However, the rice was a bit disappointing. The rice and miso soup are refillable, but for 1650 yen, it's a bit tough when the rice isn't that good. It was a little dry and lacked sweetness. Maybe it was old rice? Overall, I enjoyed the meal, but I hope they improve the rice quality instead of offering unlimited refills.

After a long time, I visited during lunchtime on a weekday. There is a counter seat and a table for shared seating (high chance of sharing a table during lunchtime). The counter was already half full 5 minutes before opening, and it was completely full right at opening. I ordered the tempura lunch set (1,650 yen including tax). The price is the same as a year ago. I was served shrimp x2, sandfish, broccoli, seaweed, baby corn, eggplant, and shiitake mushrooms one by one. It was a bit cramped, but I was happy to be able to enjoy freshly fried tempura at the counter during lunchtime. The chef kindly recommended a rice refill in the midst of busy time.

This is my first visit. I ordered the limited quantity kakiage-don on a weekday. There was a long line. The sauce has a sweet flavor. The amount of rice is generous, so I was very full. The cost performance is very good.

It's an amazing lineup, isn't it? I wonder if these people watched TV. I arrived 30 minutes before opening, but there was already a line! I ordered the lunch tempura bowl, and the customers on both sides ordered the same thing. When the freshly fried tempura bowl arrived, I was surprised at how little tempura there was! I thought they made a mistake, but when I looked at the bowls of the people next to me, they had a lot more volume! It really was too little! I understand that they are busy with a full house, but this is not acceptable. Of course, since there was too little tempura, I ended up leaving some rice and went home. The young chef seemed inexperienced. The bowl was sticky with sauce and I had to wipe it while eating. Also, the fried egg was not runny but rather hard when cracked open, which was the worst! There is no excuse for using being busy as an excuse, they need to improve.

I had lunch at Tempura Abe-san! I visited around 1:30 pm and there were 4 groups waiting, but the turnover was fast so I was seated at the counter in about 10 minutes. I ordered the Tempura lunch set for 1650 yen. The tempura was light and crispy, and I used all the salt, umeboshi salt, and tempura dipping sauce, which was really delicious. I even had seconds of rice (free). Many customers ordered the large shrimp tempura bowl (1000 yen) or the mixed tempura bowl (1000 yen), which also looked really delicious, so I want to order a bowl next time! There seems to be another store in Ginza 8-chome, so I want to visit there too. If you're interested, please give it a try!

Lunch exploration in the Ginza area. I tried the lunch-only "tempura rice bowl" for 1000 yen that was featured on a TV show last month. The restaurant is located on the B1F of the second street towards Yurakucho from the 4th intersection of Ginza. The interior has a main counter for about 12 people, with one small table near the entrance. You may have to wait for the second batch to enter the restaurant, as the first batch is usually full. It seems that there are many tourists, possibly due to the TV feature or tourist guides recommending the place. Besides the tempura rice bowl, they also offer a large shrimp tempura rice bowl for 1000 yen and a tempura lunch set for 1650 yen. Most people seemed to order the tempura rice bowl or the large shrimp tempura rice bowl. The dish arrived in about 15 minutes, with the tempura freshly fried right before you sit down. The steam from the freshly cooked rice creates a nice texture for the tempura, making it easy to eat. The tempura was crispy and flavorful, with a good balance of softness to avoid being too hard. The tempura broccoli, egg, shrimp, and vegetables all had a delicious aroma. The atmosphere was pleasant, without the usual strong smell of tempura. Overall, it may be better to enjoy a leisurely dinner here due to the prices, but it was a satisfying meal.
