【2023 和菓子・甜點店 百名店】"Yushimakazuki," "Kosakura," and "Tachibana" are three renowned traditional shops counted as the "Tokyo Big Three Karinto." Yushimakazuki started as a small dagashiya (traditional Japanese snack shop) in Tokyo Yushima in 1947. It wasn't long before their "karinto" gained popularity. Gradually, it became a popular souvenir, often found in ryotei (traditional Japanese restaurants) in Yushima, spreading its reputation. For over 70 years since then, they've maintained their presence in the same old spot, in the same old small shop, serving the same old taste, preserving the nostalgic charm of the old downtown. [Karinto Single-layer (Hito-e)] ¥594. The flagship product, karinto, since its establishment, is characterized by its glossy, beautiful amber color resembling glass.
