• Kamal Dinner Set (2,500 yen) *Three Types of Curry: Lamb Mint Curry, Mackerel Curry, Butter Chicken *Includes 1 Drink *Yellow Rice: 1-3 servings ✔︎ Cheese Kulcha Upgrade (+200 yen) ✔︎ Add 2 Types of Tandoori Chicken (+350 yen) • Eggplant Achaar (380 yen) • Visit Time: 1 year and 4 months since the last visit to Kiba Branch, first visit to Kameido Branch (Branch 2). Visited on a Friday at 18:30. There were 4 customers at a table ahead of us and 8 customers at three tables behind us. Since it was a Friday, we called ahead, but there were no issues with seating, and indeed, there were plenty of seats available. I sat at one of the 5 counter seats for solo diners. • 18:34 Eggplant Achaar arrives. • 18:36 Tandoori Chicken arrives. • 18:38 Curry Set arrives. Since I had never tried the Lamb Mint before, I ordered the Kamal Dinner Set, which includes the Lamb Mint, and I upgraded to the Cheese Kulcha from the Gurgaon-Delhi lineage. Additionally, I ordered the Eggplant Achaar, thinking that it might take some time for the curry set to arrive. However, both the Tandoori and the Curry Set arrived quickly, and I had to eat quickly to keep them from getting cold. ◎ Tandoori 2 Types Two freshly baked Tandoori dishes. One with a spicy kick from red cayenne pepper and the other with a delightful flavor from white garlic. Both are delicious. • Lamb Mint The Mint is generously sprinkled with fresh mint leaves. The lamb pieces are small and have a chewy texture. It's not about eliminating the lamb's natural flavor with mint; it's about enhancing and complementing the flavors. When paired with Cheese Kulcha, it becomes rich and less overpowering, but the Lamb Mint is still quite strong. • Butter Chicken Rich and quite sweet Butter Chicken. Kamalpur's Butter Chicken is on the sweeter side. It goes well with Cheese Kulcha. It's a creamy and rich combination of butter and cheese. Personally, if you don't like sweet Butter Chicken, it might be a bit challenging. 〇 Mackerel Curry I had the Mackerel Curry at the Kiba Branch before. The gravy is smooth, and it pairs perfectly with the Yellow Rice, similar to how rice and miso soup go together in Japanese cuisine. Mackerel Curry goes best with Yellow Rice, not with Naan. The recommended combinations are Lamb Mint with Cheese Kulcha, Butter Chicken with Cheese Kulcha, and Mackerel Curry with Rice. Once again, at Kamalpur's second branch, I felt their consistent quality in North Indian cuisine. I want to try their unexplored menu items next time. It was delicious, thank you.
