○ ================= Arrival =================
[Arrived at 10:55] No other customers were present. They were still preparing when I arrived.
[Seated at 11:00] The restaurant has a very traditional atmosphere, and the building is old, so it can be a bit chilly near the entrance. But that's part of the charm of this longstanding establishment. I chose a seat in front of the stove, which is a bit cold but cozy. After being seated, I looked at the menu and ordered. They accept PayPay for payment, which is convenient. Some items on the menu were already sold out due to reservations. The staff are attentive, and the service has a down-to-earth feel to it. The kitchen is not too relaxed, but there's not much tension either.
○ ================= Food Service =================
[Food served at 11:05] They served a small appetizer dish, a side dish for beer, and a complimentary dish. Since there's no choice, I just drank my beer.
[Food served at 11:10] I ordered the "Kaki Tempura Set." It included small oysters as the main dish, along with rice, simmered dish, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), miso soup, and pickles.
○ ================= Enjoying the Meal =================
(๑°༥°๑) ŧ‹"ŧ‹"● The tempura of small oysters consisted of six small but delicious pieces, fried to a crispy perfection. They were delightful, although not very filling.
The chawanmushi was well-prepared, with ginkgo nuts and white fish. The vinegar sauce complemented it nicely.
The simmered dish featured chewy vegetables and had a taste reminiscent of miso dengaku.
The rice was perfectly cooked and delicious.
The miso soup had a few clams in it, but the main broth seemed to be made from bonito.
○ ================= Overall Impressions =================
For dinner, the prices here might be on the high side, but for lunch, it's a reasonable option. It could be a good choice for a luxurious year-end party. Even though it's not the cheapest lunch option, considering the quality and taste of the food, the 2000 yen I spent felt worth it. The nostalgic atmosphere of Ningyocho is enjoyable, especially on cool days. Thanks for the meal! ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
