★3.4【FILE 1695】2014/03/13 (Thursday) 11:40 Visited a shabu-shabu specialty restaurant that opened in July 2013, eight months ago, on the first floor of West Roppongi, hidden in a narrow alleyway between Gaien Higashi-dori and Roppongi-dori in Roppongi. The interior has a calm atmosphere with a base of dark brown wood grain. Inside, there are a total of 12 seats, with 2 tables and 6 tables in the front. There were no previous customers during my visit, and it remained empty throughout. The service is handled competently by one male staff member. The lunch menu includes Shabu-Shabu Pork Lunch for 980 yen and Shabu-Shabu Beef Lunch for 1250 yen. All sets come with 100g of meat, finely sliced vegetables, and a choice of rice or udon, with free extra portions of rice or udon. There are four types of dipping sauces to choose from: ponzu, sesame, tomato, and soy milk. I ordered the Shabu-Shabu Pork Lunch for 980 yen. The meal included 100g of pork, plenty of finely sliced vegetables, udon (large serving), sesame sauce, tomato sauce, udon sauce, and condiments. The meal was served in approximately 25 minutes with the following timeline: 11:40 - Order, 11:44 - Sesame sauce and tomato sauce (4 minutes later), 11:47 - Meat, vegetables, and condiments (7 minutes later), 12:05 - Udon and udon sauce (25 minutes later). The Shabu-Shabu consists of neatly sliced 100g of pork, which is enjoyed with sesame sauce and tomato sauce. The sesame sauce has a rich miso flavor and is very delicious. The tomato sauce is light and doesn't have much distinct flavor. The vegetables come in a large container and are plentiful, adding a delightful crunch to the shabu-shabu and enhancing its overall taste. The udon, which is available in a large portion for free, amounts to a generous serving equivalent to four individual plates. It comes with its own dipping sauce and is quite tasty. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere with a base of dark brown wood grain. Due to its discreet location in the backstreets of Roppongi, it was very empty with no other customers present. The Shabu-Shabu Pork Lunch for 980 yen offers 100g of meat, an abundance of vegetables, and plenty of udon with a choice of two dipping sauces out of four options, udon sauce, and condiments. The shabu-shabu, which is delicious when combined with the rich miso-flavored sesame sauce, as well as the generous portions of vegetables and udon, is quite appealing.
