2013-12-03 00:00:00 Monja & Abiko Wine Bar Nishiya Theme: Gourmet - Abiko・Chonagai
This visit is my first since their last opening. I used to only order appetizers, so this time I tried their monja. I ordered Carbonara Monja and Kinako Mochi Monja. The beer was ice-cold and only 390 yen, which is cheap. However, I heard that three days later they would have a half-price anniversary special. We also ordered Seafood Tororo Okonomiyaki, which was a bit different than expected but still delicious. Speaking of Carbonara Monja, I had only tried it at Hyakujyu before. Even though it's called Carbonara, it doesn't have much flavor. It got burnt and turned into something like senbei, so I hurried to eat it. Kinako Mochi Monja is amazing. It can do anything. It's a dessert monja made by melting thin mochi on the iron griddle. It was very delicious. Overall rating for the night ★★☆☆☆ 2.0

H27.5.16 Anchovy Potato ☆3.4 Shio Moyashi ☆3.5 Nishiya Monjaga Mentaiko Mayo ☆3.4 Overall ☆3.5 Reserved for a visit on Saturday at 18:10, about 30% full in the restaurant. More people came in later. The Anchovy Potato, I've had it before, but it's a bit oily. I prefer Budoya's Anchovy Potato. However, the portion is generous, and there were plenty of baguettes, so it's a good choice for a large group. The Shio Moyashi is reliably delicious. Nishiya Monjaga Mentaiko Mayo is made by the staff. It's somewhere between a dish and a dessert. H27.2.6 ☆3.5
